Objectbox notIn with non numeric values - kotlin

We are trying to build a query where we need to check that a non numeric value (an UUID) is not in a collection of UUIDs but the available implementations only accept int and long arrays.
Is there anyway to do this? We have tried using filter but it has to be used after the find method and that is not correct since it's a paginated query and that would mean to lose some results

Keen IO mixed property values (integers as strings)

Since Keen is not strongly typed, I've noticed it is possible to send data of different types into the same property. For instance, some events may have a property whose value is a String (sent surrounded by quotes), and some whose value is an integer (sent without quotes). In the case of mathematical operations, what is the expected behavior?
Our comparator will only compute mathematical operations on numbers. If you have a property whose values are mixed, the operation will only apply to the numbers, strings will be ignored. You can see the values in your property by running a select_unique query on that property as the target_property, then (if you're using the Explorer) selecting JSON from the drop-down in the top-right. Any values you see there that are surrounded by quotes will be ignored by a mathematical query type (minimum, maximum, median, average, percentile, and sum).
If you are just starting out, and you know you want to be able to do mathematical operations on this property, we recommend making sure that you always send integers as numbers (without quotes). If you really want to keep your dataset clean, you can even start a new collection once you've made sure you are no longer sending any strings.
Yes, you're correct, Keen can accept data of different types as the value for your properties. An example of Keen's lenient data type is that a property such as VisitorID can contain both numbers (ie 14558) or strings (ie "14558").

Dynamic type cast in select query

I have totally rewritten my question because of inaccurate description of the problem!
We have to store a lot of different informations about a specific region. For this we need a flexible data structure which does not limit the possibilities for the user.
So we've create a key-value table for this additional data which is described through a meta table which contains the datatype of the value.
We already use this information for queries over our rest api. We then automatically wrap the requested field with into a cast.

We return this data together with information form other tables as a JSON object. We convert the corresponding rows from the data-table with array_agg and json_object into a JSON object:

This works very well. Now the problem we have is if we store data like a floating point number into this field, we then get returned a string representation of this number:
e.g. 5.231 returns as "5.231"
Now we would like to CAST this number during our select statement into the right data-format so the JSON result would be correctly formatted. We have all the information we need so we tried following:

So is it possible to dynamically cast the text of the data_type column to a postgresql type to return a well-formatted JSON object?
First, that's a terrible abuse of SQL, and ought to be avoided in practically all scenarios. If you have a scenario where this is legitimate, you probably already know your RDBMS so intimately, that you're writing custom indexing plugins, and wouldn't even think of asking this question...
If you tell us what you're actually trying to do, there's about a 99.9% chance we can tell you a better way to do it.
Now with that disclaimer aside:
This is not possible, without using dynamic SQL. With a sufficiently recent version of PostgreSQL, you can accomplish this with the use of 'EXECUTE IMMEDIATE', which you can read about in the manual. It basically boils down to using EXEC.
Note, however, that even using this method, the result for every row fetched in the same query must have the same data type. In other words, you can't expect that row 1 will have a data type of VARCHAR, and row 2 will have INT. That is completely impossible.
The problem you have is, that json_object does create an object out of a string array for the keys and another string array for the values. So if you feed your JSON objects into this method, it will always return an error.
So the first problem is, that you have to use a JSON or JSONB column for the values. Or you can convert the values from string to json with to_json().
Now the second problem is that you need to use another method to create your json object because you want to feed it with a string array for the keys and a json-object array for the values. For this there is a method called json_object_agg.
Then your output should be like the one you expected! Here the full query:

json_object_agg(data.name, to_json(data.value)) AS data
FROM data

Solr - Storing offsets and positions of numericValues

Just would like to know if it is possible to store the offsets,positions and frequencies of numeric values of int,float,double types in Solr. For terms, we have character and token attributes to which offsets can be set but for numeric values, while storing as Trie or Sortable, Is it possible to set the offset or attributes for the same?
I have tried considering payloads and payload filters but not able to understand which one would be best for this and also whether it is possible to perform range queries on payload values.
Otherwise, there is also the use of IndexOptions for setting this:DOCS_AND_FREQS_AND_POSITIONS_AND_OFFSETS to the field.But again not sure if this is applicable for anything other than terms/characters.Another candidate, NumericTermAttribute doesnot have position or attribute set functions.
It is fine to store them the numeric values as terms and perform sortable str search sort but why would i do that when i have a Trie which is more efficient considering the performance?

Sql function to turn character field into number field

I'm importing data from one system to another. The former keys off an alphanumeric field whereas the latter requires a numeric integer field. I'd like to find or write a function that I can feed the alphanumeric value to and have it return a number that would be unique to the value passed in.
My first thought was to do a hash, but of course the result of any built in hashes are going to contains letters and plus it's technically possible (however unlikely) that a hash may not be unique.
My first question is whether there is anything built in to sql that I'm overlooking, and short of that I'd like to hear suggestions on the easiest way to implement such a function.

You might find the resultant number is too big to be held in an integer though.
You could concatenate the ascii values of each character of your string and cast the result as a bigint.
If the original data is known to be integers you can use cast:

MySQL command to search CSV (or similar array)

I'm trying to write an SQL query that would search within a CSV (or similar) array in a column. Here's an example:
insert into properties set
bedrooms = 1,2,3 (or 1-3)
title = nice property
price = 500
I'd like to then search where bedrooms = 2+. Is this even possible?
The correct way to handle this in SQL is to add another table for a multi-valued property. It's against the relational model to store multiple discrete values in a single column. Since it's intended to be a no-no, there's little support for it in the SQL language.
The only workaround for finding a given value in a comma-separated list is to use regular expressions, which are in general ugly and slow. You have to deal with edge cases like when a value may or may not be at the start or end of the string, as well as next to a comma.
SELECT * FROM properties WHERE bedrooms RLIKE '[[:<:]]2[[:>:]]';
There are other types of queries that are easy when you have a normalized table, but hard with the comma-separated list. The example you give, of searching for a value that is equal to or greater than the search criteria, is one such case. Also consider:
How do I delete one element from a comma-separated list?
How do I ensure the list is in sorted order?
What is the average number of rooms?
How do I ensure the values in the list are even valid entries? E.g. what's to prevent me from entering "1,2,banana"?
If you don't want to create a second table, then come up with a way to represent your data with a single value.
More accurately, I should say I recommend that you represent your data with a single value per column, and Mike Atlas' solution accomplishes that.
Generally, this isn't how you should be storing data in a relational database.
Perhaps you should have a MinBedroom and MaxBedroom column. Eg:
