Any way to remove the red/green color of report.html output from robot framework api using python script - api

I am using below code to run the suite i have created. it is working fine.

i need to remove the green/red color coming in the report.html output file.
is there any argument in the function call to do that?

You could pass parameter reportbackground, to write_results function.
writer = ResultWriter('output.xml')
writer.write_results(report='report.html', log='log.html', reportbackground='#ffffff:#ffffff:#ffffff')

I have look at tplmap.py and it seems viable to alterting so it would work as you wish, thing which needs change is function named main which looks as follows

what is happening here: args dict is created based on command line arguments, presence of url checked, version added and checking function called. I would alter that function to

so now it does open file provided where url was earlier provided for each line it is rstrip-ped to jettison trailing newline and provided as url in args then check is run. Note: I did not test that code, please apply described change and first to try use it with file holding few addresses and check if it does what you want.

Jmeter dynamic URL property with variable not substituted

I have a simple Jmeter test where I have a property to set the URL. The PATH in the Jmeter test is set to the following.
${__P(GET_URL,)}
This works well for all URLs that I have been working with, except for the ones where I need to pass a variable in the URL component.
For example, it works for http://server:port/getemployeelist when I run the test with -JGET_URL=/getemployeelist
Then I created a CSV config element to populate the variable EMP_ID.
Then if I run the test with -JGET_URL=/getemployee/${EMP_ID}, the EMP_ID variable is not getting substituted. Jmeter test gives me an error as follows:
java.net.URISyntaxException: Illegal character in path at index xx: https://://getemployee/${EMP_ID}
Appreciate any help/pointers.
It will not work this way, JMeter doesn't know anything about ${EMP_ID} at the time it is being started, you need to append this ${EMP_ID} to HTTP Request sampler "Path" in the runtime
Start JMeter as:
jmeter -JGET_URL=/getemployee/
Use CSV Data Set Config to read the EMP_ID from the CSV File
In the HTTP Request sampler use construction like /${__P(GET_URL,)}/${EMP_ID} to combine JMeter Property specified via -J command line argument and JMeter Variable originating from the CSV file.
If anything goes wrong first of all check jmeter.log file - it normally contains enough troubleshooting information. If there is nothing suspicious - use Debug Sampler and View Results Tree listener combination to inspect requests and response details, variables and properties names and values, etc.
Had asked this question a while back. Thought of posting the solution which I eventually ended up implementing. In the solution, I created a template jmx with a substitution variable for the HttpSampler.path and then replace the path at runtime. Following are the key points from the scripting done.
This turned out to be a simpler solution that worked for all kinds of API call patterns.
Created a template jmx (jmeter_test_template) with the following line.
<stringProp name="HTTPSampler.path">#PATH#</stringProp>
This jmx has CSV config element to populate variable "EMP_ID". To create this file, just create a new test with any URL and then save it as a template and replace the URL with substitution variable #PATH#.
Created a wrapper script like run_any_api.sh with usage,
sh run_any_api.sh URL=http://server:port/myapp/employees/${EMP_ID}
In the wrapper script, this URL is replaced in place of the token.
sed "s/#PATH#/$URL" jmeter_test_template.jmx > jmeter_test_template.current_test.jmx
jmeter -t jmeter_test_template.current_test.jmx
Last but not the least, please remember to cleanup the temporary jmx,
rm jmeter_test_template.current_test.jmx

Pipe Console App to file from batch file

I have a console app (Visual Studio - VB), it runs, it does it's job.
I also have a batch file that runs the program and everything, but I want the output of my console app to also send to a text file.
This is my current batch, which creates the text file, but nothing is in it.
Start "" "C:\Users\wrossi\Desktop\NetLogOnSysInfo Solution\NetLogOnSysInfo Project\bin\Debug\NetLogOnSysInfo Project.exe" -all >>%ComputerName%.txt
Exit
Not sure if the batch is wrong, or if I should look at my program. Also, how do I define a path so I can put the output file exactly where I want it?

No need to use Start.
You are pretty close to what I think you want to do:
c:\console.exe > c:\output.exe
c:\console.exe or wherever the location of your console app > redirect stdout (use >> to append) c:\output.txt or wherever you want to create the text file.

Also just in case:
type stdin.txt | console.exe > stdout.txt
In the above example you can redirect an input from stdin.txt and pipe it into console.exe then redirect the output of console.exe to stdout.txt

Ansys multiphysics: blank output file

I have a model of a heating process on Ansys Multiphysics, V11.
After running the simulation, I have a script to plot a temperature profile:

What I now need, is to save the resulting path in a text file. I have already looked online for a solution, and found the following code to do it, which I appended after the lines above:
/OUTPUT,filename,extension
PRPATH,surf_t1
/OUTPUT
Ansys generates the file filename.extension but it is empty. I tried to place the OUTPUT command in a few locations in the script, but without any success.
I suspect I need to define something else, but I have no idea where to look, as Ansys documentation online is terribly chaotic, and all internet pages I've opened before writing this question are not better.
A final note: Ansys V11 is an old version of the software, but I don't want to upgrade it and fit the old model to the new software.
For the output of the simulation (which includes all calculation steps, and sub-steps description and node-by-node results) the output must be declared in the beginning of the code, and not in the postprocessing phase.
Declaring
/OUTPUT,filename,extension
in the preamble of the main script makes such that the output is stored in the right location, with the desired extension. At the end of the scripts, you must then declare
/OUTPUT
to reset the output file location for ANSYS.
The output to the PATH call made in the postprocessing script is however not printed in the file.
It is convenient to use
*CFOPEN,file,ext
*VWRITE,Vector(1,1).Vector(1,2)
(2F12.6)
*CFCLOSE
where Vector(1,1) is a two column array created by *DIM, and stores your data to output to file
As this is a special command, run it from file i.e. macro_output.mac

In Lua, how to print the console output into a file (piping) instead of using the standard output?

I workin' with Torch7 and Lua programming languages. I need a command that redirects the output of my console to a file, instead of printing it into my shell.
For example, in Linux, when you type:
$ ls > dir.txt
The system will print the output of the command "ls" to the file dir.txt, instead of printing it to the default output console.
I need a similar command for Lua. Does anyone know it?
[EDIT] An user suggests to me that this operation is called piping. So, the question should be: "How to make piping in Lua?"

io.write seems to be what you are looking for.
Lua has no default function to create a file from the console output.
If your applications logs its output -which you're probably trying to do-, it will only be possible to do this by modifying the Lua C++ source code.
If your internal system has access to the output of the console, you could do something similar to this (and set it on a timer, so it runs every 25ms or so):

Note that the console output function has to store the output of the console in a table.
To clear the console at the end, just do os.execute( "cls" ).
