I am trying to integrate Contacts API with one of our application. One of my client has created API ID and APP token key. I am using NuGet Package of Podio.
I am trying to use GetContactTotals. But I am not able to fetch no. of records. It is throwing an error. I have used AuthenticateWithApp method. Actually our goal is we have to fetch the contacts and sync with our application. When I use AuthenticateWithPassword method it fetches Contacts, which is more than in that particular app.
Could you please help with any example with which I can achieve this?
GetContactTotal method requires user authentication. Apps don't have access to user's contacts.
Also, some of contacts methods are deprecated (e.g.: https://developers.podio.com/doc/contacts/get-space-contact-totals-67508), so you might want to redesign how to store all contact information and use apps and particularly "Contacts App".
More details on how to organize contacts are here: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019938-Using-a-Contacts-app-Importing-Contacts

Problems:
I am unable to enable Business Messages API, Because "Business Messages API" is not showing API list, While i am going to enable the API through the
https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard
I want to use auth token, while hitting the API, but the document is saying use the service.json for the credentials. i am following these doc. I am using "Google\Client()" with Laravel application.
https://developers.google.com/business-communications/business-messages/guides/how-to/agents?method=api
I am following these steps:
Login with google business account in the Dashboard
App taking multiple permissions as I have attached the permissions list and taking the auth token.
Open the chat box for the Business.
So please guide me, where i am going wrong. What is correct way to implement this.
Requirement:
I want to create a custom chat box for google businesses, Where business owner will login into the web app and He can easily manage the multiple business chats in one dashboard.
As per your given information, you have to be a partner of Google. As per google documentation, you need to be a partner of google and then you can create the agent and can send and receive messages. You can integrate the business messages API by following this documentation:
https://developers.google.com/business-communications/business-messages/guides
In this process, you need to be a partner of Google. The complete process is given on the link. If you follow this link, then you can use their built-in libraries easily and can send messages easily.
So far the permission for API, it might not be found for you because you might have to take permission for the particular project that is registered on google and then you will see the business messages API and you can enable it and use it. The reason as per the basic step:
https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/basic-setup
Sometimes, you have to submit the request form to take the API access for particular APIs. Or Share how are you using that API.
If you do not find a form for business messages API then you can ask for the information from bm-support#google.com. they mostly respond on a working day.
I have a store on bigcommerce and i need to access the customers registered on our store using there api.
I havent created any app over there. I need to access the customers registering on our store.
According to api i need to use client id which we get by creating an app.
https://developer.bigcommerce.com/api/#request-headers
But actually i dont need to create a app i just want to use the store and fetch the customer details using the api into another application, can anyone please tell me how to get client id from the dashboard login.
You can use the legacy API (non-oAuth) credentials instead.

I've successfully got contacts information using the .NET library.
According to this question:
Get Google+ ID from Google Contacts
The contacts should be returned with an extended property called website that is a link to the contact google profile. However, none of my contacts are returned with this informations, and many of them are connected to a google profile.
I made sure I'm using the 3.0 version of the API but still no good...Does anyone knows what may be the problem?
Thanks!
I'm working on a Win8 metro signup flow and would like to be able to seamlessly pull, using the user-provided phone #, a photo and display name from the built-in "People" app. I'm having trouble finding documentation/code outside of ContactPicker (which isn't what I need).
Couple questions:
Is there an API to pull contact data that would be present in the "People" app?
If so, is there a way to configure capabilities to avoid interrupting the user with a modal "Ok for app xyz to access your address book"?
Thanks.
Confirmed that there is no API to pull contacts programmatically.
You can't pull contacts without permission, it's a security feature. You CAN interrogate the contact data users pick via the Contact Picker though.
You therefore have to ask the user to pick contacts relevant to your task, call the single / multiple contact picker then once picked, you can interrogate the contacts as much as you want. They have phone numbers, emails, locations all the data you might want hanging off those.
As far as I can tell, there's no way to maintain a persistent link to them though, so store that data while you can.
I am new to linkedin api. I have a doubt regarding the api.
I am integrating the api in my application, so different user have to register in the linkedin to get the data using that api? Can it be pre registered and the user can get the data whatever he wants.
Suppose user wants to search about company. He will type the company name and will get the names of the company related to search. He should not log in in linked in before searching.
Is it possible?
If you are using the JavaScript API, then yes, you may need to have the user log in each time as the JavaScript API's authorization is cleared every time the user closes their browser.
If you are using the REST API, you can store the user's OAuth token and use that to make the calls on behalf of the user, saving them having to sign-in each time.
