I have a three columns in excel with data such as
section1 section2 section3
no no er3
er1 no er3
no no no
how to write macros to Combine the data in the on column such as:
section_error
er3
er1,er3
no
So if there are only "no" then it should be once "no"
if there is something else besides "no", like "er1"or "er3" then only list of others signs.
it is not exactly to join or to CONCATENATE (

So, this might be a bit overkill depending on how many rows you have. But, using arrays is going to be a lot faster if you start getting up in the thousands.
Anyway, we define two named ranges, input and output. We then place the values of the input range into an array.
We loop through the array, checking the values of those spots in the array (which corresponds to the values in the cells now). When we find something, we append that something to the end of our output value for that row. When we don't find anything, we set that value to no.
At the end, we set the values of the output range (resized for our array) equal to our output array values.
Make sure you define those named ranges (and change their names too!).

I have values in column B separated by commas. I need to split them into new rows and keep the other data the same.
I have a variable number of rows.
I don't know how many values will be in the cells in Column B, so I need to loop over the array dynamically.

You can also just do it in place by using a Do loop instead of a For loop. The only real trick is to just manually update your row counter every time you insert a new row. The "static" columns that get copied are just a simple matter of caching the values and then writing them to the inserted rows:

Given #A.S.H.'s excellent and brief answer, the VBA function below might be a bit of an overkill, but it will hopefully be of some help to someone looking for a more "generic" solution. This method makes sure not to modify the cells to the left, to the right, or above the table of data, in case the table does not start in A1 or in case there is other data on the sheet besides the table. It also avoids copying and inserting entire rows, and it allows you to specify a separator other than a comma.
This function happens to have similarities to #ryguy72's procedure, but it does not rely on the clipboard.

To use the above function, you would specify
the range containing the rows of data (excluding the header)
the (relative) number of the column within the range with the string to split
the separator in the string to split
the optional (relative) number of the "ID" column within the range (if a number >=1 is provided, the first row with no data in this column will be taken as the last row of data)
The range object passed in the first argument will be modified by the function to reflect the range of all the new data rows (including all inserted rows). The function returns True if no errors were encountered, and False otherwise.
Examples

VBA that copies rows into new sheet based on each row's cell contents (example included)

So I'm hoping for some help to automate a process that will otherwise involve copying and editing some 10,000 rows.
This is stuff relating to location data. Essentially, there are tons of these Master Rows but they do not have individual rows for Unit Numbers. I am hoping to get something to expand these into individual Unit Number rows based on what is in Column N. Column N is intended to follow a strict format of being a comma-seperated single cell list for each row.
Below is an example from Sheet 1 of what each row will have and needs to be expanded upon. Note that Column N is green and follows a consistent formatting and this will be the determinant for how many times these rows will each be expanded upon.
Below is Sheet 2 and what I want the VBA to create from Sheet 1. You can see that each row has been expanded based on the contents of Column N from Sheet 1.
Like I said, it is expected that this will involve some several thousand rows to create.

COUNTIF() in 'For' loop

I have a column with nearly 100k and am trying to determine how many times a value occurs repeatedly in that column. I can do it row by row currently, but this is menial as a programmer, through something like =COUNTIF(D:D,D2). Yet that only returns D2 matches in column D.
I need to iterate through all values of D returning countif, therefore revealing all of the values repetitions in the column. I can remove duplicates later! So I have a dev. button a basic sub, or function (man this is new to me) and something along the lines of the most basic for loop ever. Just getting caught up on how to implement the COUNTIF() to to the loop properly.
Right now I'm looking at:

I believe you are trying to write the value to the cell, that is what the above does. FYI, if you want to put a formula into the cell, here is how that is done. Use this in place of WS.Range("H" & lRow).Value = d

Sounds like you may want to look into using tables in Excel and capitalizing on their features like filtering and equation autofill. You may also be interested in using a PivotTable to do something very similar to what you're describing.
If you really want to go about this the programmatic way, I think the solution Matt gives answers your question about how to do this using CountIf. There's a big detriment to using CountIf though, in that it's not very computationally efficient. I don't think the code Matt posted will really be practical for processing the 100K rows mentioned in the OP (Application.ScreenUpdating = false would help some). Here's an alternative method that's a lot more efficient, but less intuitive, so you'll have to decide what suites your needs and what you feel conformable with.

If you take the code from that answer and replace the comma with whatever is separating your values, you will be able to get access to them in VBA. Then you can write code to find the minimum.
You can make a macro to split the values for each cell you selected and then check for the highest value. And a quick check to make sure you are not parsing all the empty rows (when you selected a column).
The macro below will set the highest value in the next column.

Compare and copy matching data from adjacent cells

I was having some trouble with a macro I have been writing. I am trying to find a match in column A and column D. When I detect a match I want to copy the adjacent cells of each I.E copy the contents of B of the line of the first match to E where the match occurs in D. Whenever I do this I never get the right copy. It will copy the values that match but put them in the completely wrong space. I only encounter a problem when the order is mixed up or there is a white space. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have studied your text and your macro and think the macro below does what you want.
If this macro does what you want, your problem was caused by your use of meaningless variable names such as: column1, column2, i and j. This meant you did not notice you were using the wrong variables in the statement that copied values.
I have renamed all your variables. I am not asking you to like my naming convention but I am recommending you have a naming convention. I can look at macros I wrote years ago and know what all the variables are because I developed my convention in my early days of VBA programming and have used it every since. This makes my life much easier when I need to update old macros.
I have added Option Explicit at the top of the module. Without this statement, a misspelt variable name becomes a declaration:
Dim Count As Long
Lots of statements
Count = Conut + 1
This causes Conut to be declared with a value of zero. Such errors can be a nightmare to find.
I have used a With Statement to make explicit which worksheet I am using.
You checked both cells to not be empty. I only check the first because it is not necessary to check the second since, if the second is empty, it will not match the first.
Your code did not stop working down the Compare column if it found a match so my code does the same. This is correct if values can repeat in the Compare column. If they cannot repeat, you may wish to add Exit For to exit the inner loop after a match has been processed.
