objectaid uml explorer throwing exception - eclipse-plugin

I have installed ObjectAid UML explorer in Eclipse Juno 4.2.2. Throws the following error when I launch it.
The selected wizard could not be started.
Plug-in com.objectaid.uml.cls was unable to load class com.objectaid.uml.cls.editor.NewClassDiagramWizard.
JVMCFRE003 bad major version;
Appreciate your insights and help. Thanks.

'Bad major version' means the code was compiled for a newer version of Java that the one you are using.
According to the ObjectAid download page the current 1.2.x releases require Java 8.
Use the older 1.1.x release if you are using Java 6 or 7.

Gradle sync fails when creating a new Kotlin project with default settings in freshly installed IntelliJ IDEA

I wanted to learn some Kotlin so I installed IntelliJ IDEA, created a new Kotlin project with the default settings and then the IDE tells me that Gradle sync has failed. Here's the error message:
Could not open init generic class cache for initialization script 'C:\Users\<my_name>\AppData\Local\Temp\wrapper_init.gradle' (C:\Users\<my_name>\.gradle\caches\6.8\scripts\344chmz69zyndatc9zp4rwux5).
> BUG! exception in phase 'semantic analysis' in source unit '_BuildScript_' Unsupported class file major version 60
I googled the error and got a suggestion to try a different JDK version. Tried a few different versions but that didn't help. Then I installed the IDE on my laptop to see if that works and there I don't get any errors. As far as I can tell, the project settings were exactly the same on both machines but obviously something is messed up on my desktop computer. Both have Windows 10.
I'm also not at all familiar with the Java/Kotlin ecosystem or the build tools or whatever so I honestly have no idea how I could even begin fixing some Gradle errors. I don't really even know what Gradle is or what it does. So can you help me?
First, check the version which the project uses: File > Project Structure. Or, during project creation (https://i.stack.imgur.com/SXIzQ.png / example with SDK 1.8)
It has to be the same as JDK / SDK installed on your computer.
To verify java version installed in your terminal:
java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_252"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_252-8u252-b09-1~19.10-b09)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.252-b09, mixed mode)

Why isn't my Intellij IDE opening properly

I am running OSX version 10.9.5 and IntelliJ version 2019.2.3(IC-192.6817.14). When I open my IntelliJ IDE, I don't see the editor
This is all I can see. Can anyone help me to fix it?
As per official documentation 2019.2 requires macOS 10.11 or later.
Officially released 64-bit versions of the following:
Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 or later
macOS 10.11 or later
Any Linux distribution that supports Gnome, KDE, or Unity DE
Pre-release versions are not supported.

I recommend you install the official Jetbrains Toolbox to handle installation/upgrade of your IDE(s). I (hope) it is aware of OS limitations and won't propose you upgrade to something non-functional. What it definitely does do is to rollback to an earlier installation with a single click.
Toolbox will detect and handle your existing manual installation so there's no penalty to installing it right now and seeing what options it gives (e.g. 2019.2.4 is out maybe incompatible as other answer hints or may be some bug is fixed!)

WSO2 Developer Studio Nullpointer exception

I am using WSO2 Developer Studio latest version 3.8.0 on Mac OS High Sierra. Each time when I drag and drop element from the tool pallet into the design workspace, It shows Null pointer exception. Also canvas title is not visible. Here below I attached a screenshot. So much appreciate your help.
Nullpointer exception
I also face similar issue since I install both Oracle JDK 8 and JDK 10. Eclipse take latest JDK 10 version, but application does not support Java 10. To select Java version to use, I added following line into the /Applications/Eclipse.app/Contents/Eclipse/eclipse.ini file. Then it work fine.
-vm
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_171.jdk/Contents/Home/bin
If you are using Java 10 then you can remove it and install Java 8 or you can use both version and update eclipse.ini file to point JDK 8 version.
Hope this will be helpful.

IBM RAD fails with JVM crash after importing a project into it .shows "jvm terminated exit code 8096"

jvm terminated exit code 8096 is shown
here follows my eclipse.ini coding
-vm
C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\SDP70\jdk\jre\bin\javaw.exe
-vmargs
-Xquickstart
-Xms512m
-Xmx1024ms
-Xgcpolicy:gencon
-Xscmx96m
-Xshareclasses:singleJVM,keep
-Xnolinenumbers
-XX:MaxPermSize=1024M
-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false
-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
This behavior might be caused by the incorrect rendering on a small set of Microsoft Windows computers with bad DirectDraw or Direct3D drivers. Hence, the use of DirectDraw or Direct3D drivers by Java 2D system in Rational Application Developer v7 can cause the crash.
Note: This error is not always caused as the result of DirectDraw or Direct3D drivers.
Resolving the problem
Consider upgrading to the latest Rational Application Developer v7.0.x release before carrying out the option of disabling Direct3D.
In the case of Rational Application Developer v8.0 or later versions on a Windows 64-bit platform experiencing this JVM error, consult the technote "Internet Explorer v9 or higher is required if the product was installed using the 64-bit Bit Mode option on a 64-bit system". This addresses the jscript.dll error showing in a javacore.
You can also try clearing the temp folder as described in the following forum post. The workaround presented is for Lotus Notes, but may also apply in this case.
WORKAROUND:
To turn off the use of Direct3D in Rational Application Developer v7, you can use the following Java parameter option:
-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false
If that does not solve the problems, try removing DirectDraw or Direct3D completely using:
-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
Note: You can put this Java parameter option inside the eclipse.ini in the directory \SDP70\
Open a service request with IBM support if none of the suggestions above have helped to resolve the problem.

IBM Worklight Failing to start

Configuration: Eclipse (Juno) 4.2.2
IBM Worklight version: 6.2.0.01
Java version:
java version "1.7.0_71"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_71-b14)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.71-b01, mixed mode)
JDK: jdk1.7.0_71.jdk
Java Compiler: 1.7
My worklight studio was previously working and suddenly stops working after I had to force quit my eclipse. Even after reinstallation of the plugins, the error still recurs.
Here's a screenshot of the initial error log before 'Worklight server failed to start' and 'Failed to deploy application in the worklight server'. Any help to fix this issue will be deeply appreciated. Worklight studio issues like this is starting to get frustrating.
I uninstalled java from my mac. Reinstalled Java (JDK & JRE), new Eclipse (Juno 4.2.2) -> Then installed IBM Worklight Studio plugin. Figured it was the problem with Java as it was throwing the java exception 'unable to read the manifest'. Probably there was some issue after updating to Yosemite.
I had the same problem. You need to set correct IP for Worklight server. It doesn't work with "localhost" or "*".
It looks Java EE got corrupted somehow,
So as suggested the best approach would be to use a fresh Eclipse instance with a new plug-in installation and a new workspace as well. This way it makes sure everything is fresh and new.
