How to create custom popup in Xamarin.Forms - xaml

I want to create a custom popup like screencast.

Take a look on Rg.Plugins.Popup. It is quite popular open source project which you can use as a reference to learn.

forum member I am using ext js4.0.2a and has achieved a task to show desktop with icons on it, when the application runs.
Now I want to add the drag and drop functionality to my desktop icons, but don't know how to achieve it.
I am using ext js 4.0.2a with MVC architechture so, is there any way I can achieve it. I had seen some examples, but they all based on version lower than ext js-4.
Please guide me how can I achieve this task of adding drag and drop functionality to my desktop using ext js 4.0.2a
There is a Drag and Drop guide http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-0/#!/guide/drag_and_drop
and several examples for 4.0.7 which is compatible with your version, plus a few bug fixes.

How to develop a webapp which allows the user to add markup to text files?

I need to develop a simple webapp that allows the user to highlight a couple of words in the file (text or HTML) that he can load from the screen, and then right-click and have some options show up to choose from.
When she chooses the option , the text of it is added to the file shown on the screen, right after the highlighted text, inside some parenthesis or similar.
Is Ruby on Rails a suitable platform for developing such an app?
Is Grails more suitable ?
(Assuming similar level of knowledge in Groovy and Ruby)
In both cases, I'd appreciate pointers to gems/libraries I should be looking into for these tasks.
Thanks!
I'm not 100% sure I understand your requirements, but have you considered integrating a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor into your web app? Something like CKeditor is open-source, and effective.
You could load the file into the editor and setup a custom context menu like described in part 6 of this tutorial. So when the user right clicks in the editor, the custom context menu item could be configured to facilitate the insertion you are looking to accomplish.
I agree with corroded's advice to choose a language/framework you know and can work better in, as you'll be able to achieve your desired functionality through a variety of languages/frameworks.
Best of Luck!
Find a language/framework you know and can work better in. Also, you're gonna need some javascript magicks so I suggest using jquery. Here's a link on how to do your right click action: How to distinguish between left and right mouse click with jQuery
I think the function you describe is more about client user-friendliness than server processing. I think it's can only be done with javascript/jQuery or similar tools.
Same as tmarsden, I think a good way to do that is integrating a WYSIWYG free editor. I have done it before with TinyMCE, by writing a custom plugin for this tool. If you choose using Grails as server technology, you can take a look at TinyMCE plugin for Grails.

How can i design menu and title in vb.net?

I Would like to create my menu groups in my desktop application as the one shown in sample image. I would like to know which control is used for it? What extra works we need to do on it?
A reference to similar one is also welcome...

CollapsiblePanel or Accordian or TaskPane.

Create sidebar in mac app with sections

I want to create a sidebar in one of my mac applications. Basically it will look much like the Things sidebar.
Here is the picture that I basically want to recreate:
I can't figure out how to show the "sections" (collect, focus and active projects) and how to have certain items always show up (inbox, today, next, etc...) and finally I would really appreciate if someone would explain how to make the active projects section, with the triangle.
Also I need the active projects section to load from an entity in core data.
I would also really appreciate if you could post an example.
Apple's "SourceView" sample should be helpful with this:
Apple Example
PXSourceList is an open source NSOutlineView subclass specifically built for mimicking what you posted. I've used it in a number of projects, and it's very easy and flexible to use. I highly recommend it.
The active projects section is probably just a 1 column NSOutlineView with no column header.
