after the installation of the appcelerator IDE V7.0.2 i got an error described above in the logs.
Config: osx 10.13.3, Node js V9.8.0, Java sdk : 8
I installed appcelerator CLI in first and it works fine.
I tried with different version of node and with Java 9, without success.
I uninstalled and reinstalled CLI and studi without success

The issue is with your jdk version not with node version. Remove(delete created folder) installed java from path /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/ and then try to install appcelerator.dmg, it will automatically ask for download jdk and it will download required version of jdk.
Or Else, download this jdk version(1.8.0_131) and replace that jdk with this version. I hope it will help you.

I found the solution the problem:
I updated the version of Apache Maven which I was using to "Apache Maven 3.2.5" and also had to remove to ".m2" directory.
After than ran "mvn -DskipTests clean install" and things got resolved.
Hope this helps anyone who gets stuck on the same issue.

Try using the command below instead.
./eclipse -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director -repository http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2 -installIUs com.google.gdt.eclipse.suite.e42.feature.feature.group -noSplash
The repository argument takes URLs and the id for the Google Plugin is com.google.gdt.eclipse.suite.e42.feature.feature.group. Take a look at http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/guide/p2_director.html
