How do I find my app's product_id for use with App Annie's API? - api

I am trying to make calls to App Annie's connect API. The product_id is required with every request, but I can't find it anywhere on App Annie. I have looked under "My Apps" and "App Data Details."
Sample API call for reference:
https://api.appannie.com/v1.2/intelligence/{vertical}/{market}/app/{product_id}/history?countries={country}&feeds={feeds}&device={device}&granularity={granularity}&start_date={start_date}&end_date={end_date}
Another sample with {} filled in
https://api.appannie.com/v1.2/intelligence/apps/ios/app/338137227/history?countries=US&feeds=downloads&device=all&granularity=daily&start_date=2016-02-01&end_date=2016-02-02

One way to find it - in the app details page scroll down to the bottom and you will see it there in very light grey (not so easy to see) - e.g. in this small example image:

Ionic load screen at the same time

I have Ionic app that communicates with Laravel API server side. Thing that bothers me is that elements like buttons and pre-defined text show first, and then after a few milliseconds resources from API load.
I would like the whole page to have that same millisecond pause so that all resources load at the same time, because for instance, my POST call breaks if I click the button to place an order before the server resources are shown on screen.
I have no idea how to google that nor what code part would be useful to paste here, so if anyone had simmilar problem...

How do I notify users of new content available in tvOS apps from the home screen?

Push notifications have been left out of tvOS (understandably so) but the docs seem to contradict themselves in alerting users to the fact that there is something new available in your tvOS app.
Here it seems to say that you can add an app badge: https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/tvos/documentation/NetworkingInternet/Conceptual/RemoteNotificationsPG/Chapters/WhatAreRemoteNotif.html
Here it says they've been removed from UIKit: https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/tvos/releasenotes/General/tvOS90APIDiffs/Objective-C/UIKit.html
Removed UIApplication.applicationIconBadgeNumber
Assuming the badge approach is not supported in this release, does anyone know the best practice for alerting a user that there is new content in your app without the user taking an explicit action? ie focusing on the app and showing them something in TopShelf?
I encountered the same problem and dived into this. Probably your best way is to update the topshelf with latest items, which is my way to solve this for now. You can use network calls to update the topshelf with content from your backend.
This depends on the type of application. E.g. showing the latest top movies for a movies app.
You can trigger an update of the topshelf after your network call completed using the following code:
NSNotificationCenter.defaultCenter().postNotificationName(TVTopShelfItemsDidChangeNotification, object: nil)
Make sure to implement the TVTopShelfProvider which should be clear using the following documentation:
This protocol is adopted by the principal class of an app’s TV Services extension. Apps that implement this extension can provide dynamic content to the Top Shelf element rather than having the system use the static image submitted with the app. The topShelfStyle property specifies the interface style you want, and the topShelfItems property specifies the content items to display. Whenever you change the content provided by the extension, post a TVTopShelfItemsDidChangeNotification notification to prompt the system to reload your content.
Icon badges are removed for app icons, push notifications as well (except for silent push notifications).

Is it possible to add Sharing button for Snapchat? [duplicate]

I am developing a website.I have added the many social login or sharing buttons, links like facebook, tweeter, gplus, pintrest on my php, html based website.
Now i have to add the social sharing button for snapchat. Is it possible to provide a link or button on my website to share a snap, image, content of stories in snapchat ?
I have tried to find out for any API or snapchat link or button to achive, but doesn't found any thing.
I also saw the question doesn't have any answer, reply, comments.
Is it possible to add Sharing button for Snapchat?
From the snapchat blog link following, I found that there is no API available provided by snapchat.
http://blog.snapchat.com/post/99998266095/third-party-applications-and-the-snapchat-api
Is it possible to share contents of snapchat?
That blog post is more talking about using a 3rd party app intead of the snapchat app, this is something i can never see being allowd but is also not what i think you are after.
I assume you mean that you want to be able to share a screenshot or specific image on snapchat. I have not been able to find a way of doing this, the closest thing was a 3rd party app that enabled link insertion to snapchat (http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2016/06/you-can-now-embed-links-in-snapchat-screenshots-using-emoji/)
On the other hand, if you want them to connect to you, this can be done with the url https://www.snapchat.com/add/yourUserName
hope this helps

Implementing "Rate application" functionality on a Windows Store app

I am trying to implement rating functionality in a Windows Store application using HTML / Javascript.
I am showing a popup dialog similar to the one below within the application and when "Rate" is clicked I would like to redirect to the Marketplace where the user can then rate the application.
This is a task that can easily be done on Windows Phone 7 via the MarketplaceReviewTask.
Is there an API on Windows 8 that I could call to have this achieved?
The Rate and Review link in the Settings charm will automatically appear for users other than yourself (since you can't rate your own app).
If you want a custom link somewhere, you can use LaunchUriAsync like Jim says, using this URI:
"ms-windows-store:REVIEW?PFN=[my-pfm]"
where my-pfm is "Package Family Name" which you will find in your application manifest.
Here's a blog post I found that's helpful:
http://www.andybeaulieu.com/Default.aspx?tabid=67&EntryID=227
If you use protocol activation (LaunchUriAsync) with the URI format suggested here you'll get to your app's page on the Store; however, there's still an additional step for the user to click Write a Review. There may be a way to deep link to it and I'll update if I find out.

Creating a image browser Boxee App

I am writing a Boxee App and I want to list all albums for a picasa account.
The problem I'm facing is that I have no idea of how to list albums and photos in the Boxee app.
The application itself should be fairly simple:
First a main screen where all your albums are listed, then when you click an album you see all your photos in a grid of say 4x5 photos
When you click a photo you go in to a view where one photo is displayed on the whole screen where back and forward lets users go back and forth in that gallery.
I have wrote a simple wrapper arround the gdata photos Python API which I was aiming to use so hopefully all the heavy lifting will be done by the gdata API.
Does anybody have some good links to example applications or tutorials to one or more of the features I want in the application?
Boxee uses an XML based approach for describing an application's interface. You'll need one XML for each screen of your application and you'll connect them together using the API.
You would build this XML screens using various controls defined by the XML API. Basically a control (a button, a list, a label, etc) is described as an XML node with attributes and child nodes. You can check a list of all the available controls here: http://developer.boxee.tv/UI_Controls
You can use the Python API to control various properties of the UI elements you coded in your XML files. For example you could fill a list with photos taken from a server, you could change the label on a button, load another screen and much more. Here are the Python API specs: http://developer.boxee.tv/Python_API
Make sure you read trough the Boxee dev pages and also remember that Boxee originated from the XBMC project so most of the documentation regarding XBMC skinning (http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Skinning_XBMC) also applies to Boxee.
Another thing that might help you is looking at other apps. Find an app that is somehow similar to what you want to do, find it in Boxee's app folder and peek at the code there.
