I am a beginner in web designing. I am trying to create a full screen carousel/slide show for a specific section of a web page.
More specifically, I have a carousel like this:

I would like to transform it into this:
https://mobirise.com/bootstrap-carousel/
How can I do it?
Set width to 100% and you can even set fixed height for consistency.
.carousel-inner img {
width: 100%; /* Set width to 100% */
}
#media (min-width: 576px) {
.carousel-inner img {
width: 100%; /* Set width to 100% */
max-height:340px;
}
}
#media (min-width: 768px) {
.carousel-inner img {
width: 100%; /* Set width to 100% */
max-height:720px;
}
}
#media (min-width: 992px) {
.carousel-inner img {
width: 100%; /* Set width to 100% */
}
.carousel-inner{
max-height:580px;
}
}
#media (min-width: 1200px) {
.carousel-inner img {
width: 100%; /* Set width to 100% */
max-height:700px;
}
.carousel-inner{
max-height:700px;
}
}

The carousel fades into the next slide when I click the next/previous buttons, even though I have added the 'slide' class.

I have coded a carousel (photo slide) that I had functioning before; however, I am revising my site and having trouble making it function again. The arrow controls that slide left and right are present; however, the photos are not. Before placing the carousel code the photos were visible, but they were not aligned correctly.

I have 3 menu items in my navbar. I want the entire nav to be divided into 3 parts for my 3 menus. I tried with the following code but the last menu item takes bit extra space than others. How do i fix it?
.navbar {
border : 1px solid #ffffff;
}
#intr1, #intr2 {
border-right: 1px solid #ffffff;
}
.menuLabel {
text-align: center;
font-size: 17px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #ffffff;
}
<html>
<head>
<title></title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar navbar-inverse">
<div class="navbar-header ">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav container">
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr1"><div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div></li>
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr2"><div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div></li>
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr3"><div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Try with something like this:
<body>
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar navbar-inverse">
<div class="container-fluid">
<ul>
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr1">
<a href="#">
<div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div>
</a>
</li>
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr2">
<a href="#">
<div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div>
</a>
</li>
<li class="col-md-4" id="intr3">
<a href="#">
<div class="menuLabel">INTERIOR DESIGN <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-arrow-right"></span></div>
</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
I hope this will help you a lot:
HTML:
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<!-- Brand and toggle get grouped for better mobile display -->
<div class="navbar-header">
<button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#bs-example-navbar-collapse-1" aria-expanded="false">
<span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
<span class="icon-bar"></span>
</button>
</div>
<!-- Collect the nav links, forms, and other content for toggling -->
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav customnavbarnav">
<li class="customlist">Link
</li>
<li class="customlist">Link
</li>
<li class="customlist">Link
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<!-- /.navbar-collapse -->
</div>
<!-- /.container-fluid -->
</nav>
<!-- /.navbar navbar-default -->
CSS:
.customnavbarnav{
width: 100%;
text-align: center;
}
.customlist{
width: 33.33333333333333%
}
Just remove the .container class on the .navbar-nav because that is causing you to have 15px right padding which throws off the evenness.
I created a carousel using Twitter Bootstrap 3 and I cannot get it to work correctly. The slides seem to Overlay each other and it does not cycle through them all. Checked for coding errors but found none. Here is a Jsfiddle with my code: (http://jsfiddle.net/N6Y4D/)
Or here:
<div id="myCarousel" class="carousel slide">
<ol class="carousel-indicators">
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li>
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="1"></li>
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="2"></li>
</ol>
<div class="carousel-inner">
<div class="item-active">
<img src="img/slide1.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<img src="img/slide2.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<img src="img/slide3.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<a class="left carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="prev">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-left"></span>
</a>
<a class="right carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="next">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-right"></span>
</a>
</div>
<script src= "js/jquery-2.0.2.js"></script>
<script src= "js/bootstrap.js"></script>
</body>
Here is complete code for it.. Inside the 'carousel-inner' you have written as 'item-active' , it should be 'item active' Both are separate classes.
<div id="myCarousel" class="carousel slide">
<ol class="carousel-indicators">
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li>
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="1"></li>
<li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="2"></li>
</ol>
<div class="carousel-inner">
<div class="item active"> // error was occurring here it should item active not item-active
<img src="img/slide1.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<img src="img/slide2.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="item">
<img src="img/slide3.png" style="height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block"/>
<div class="container">
<div class="carousel-caption">
<h1>Heading text</h1>
<p>Description</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<a class="left carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="prev">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-left"></span>
</a>
<a class="right carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="next">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-right"></span>
</a>
</div>
Pressing the "right" after 3 slides, the page becomes white.
But when you press the "left", ie go to the previous slide all goes well, the slides are changing.
Why are the buttons do not work the same way (to the right) causes a white screen?
