I cannot get the "send to messenger" button to display to the user.
1) Facebook SDK is installed correctly as other plugins are displaying and working
2) I'm logged in as an admin of the page and of the app on Facebook
3) The app has messenger permissions for that page
4) The public HTTPS domain is whitelisted with that pages messenger platform.
I had left the "data-ref" as the default which was '", by removing the "<" and ">" symbols it now works fines.

Is it possible configure my firebase project so that if a user is on mobile and they need to log in, they are redirected to the facebook mobile app instead of the facebook website in their browser?. I thought iOS would automatically intercept the link but it just takes you to the facebook site. Users with the app installed might not already be logged in through their browser since they are used to using the app and i'd like to avoid the extra login step for them
I am working and actually creating a login through facebook system and in order to redirect it, i am not getting any client OAuth settings in advance setting options while creating the app.
1) Go to Dashboard
2) At bottom of left column Product Settings -> click +Add Product
3) Add facebook Login.
4) It will appear in the left column - click it there.
5) And You will find Client OAuth Login on the right.
I have a mobile web application that integrates with the Facebook Graph API.
Basically, it uses the JS SDK to obtain details about the viewing user that it can then use to render user specific content.
I use the FB.login function to have the user login to my Facebook app. This should work as follows:
JS on pages detects that user has not logged in to Facebook app
User is given button to click to fire FB.login
User is redirected to Facebook page to authorise the app and login
User is redirected back to my mobile web application
JS on pages detects that user is logged in to Facebook app, polls user data from Graph and renders it.
This all works fine on Android, but the redirect step does not work on Mobile Safari
The user gets an error referring to an EntityRef, which looks like the Content-type being sent to the browser is XML but where the content includes an illegal character:
Error on line 1 at column 49: EntityRef: expecting ';'
This is the actual link that is generating the error:

When you open this in another browser, you get a response with Javascript (I won't post it here as it contains script tags), which contains references to the iPhone:
iPhone.*Version/(5|6)
I'm actually using a Version 4 IOS.
Does anyone know if this stuff is supposed to work in Version 4?
This is a Facebook Bug, which is due for resolution:

I have a web site, that uses facebook to login.
I would like iOS user of safari, to be able to login into this site. You understand i'm NOT talking about a native iOS app..... just a web site visit.
Currently, user can't login from iOS safari, as they can from any desktop environement.
Either login link is inactive, or there is an error message instead of the login popup.
So what should I implement on website to have facebook login work on iOS browser ?
i integrated facebook logn button in my ipad app and tried running it. when i clicked on the button it was showing login page and after i login with my fb username and password ,it showing the address(http://facebook/connect/uiserver.php) invalid in simulator. i have created app id in facebook developers.
Make sure you have updated the DemoApp-Info.plist file with your app id.
