VBA if A = B and C= Text - vba

I have been looking on stackoverflow but could not get an definitive answer to my little problem. I am fairly new to coding and am still dealing with syntax sometimes.
Right now I have a little loop reading an array, inside the loop it checks for an if statement. I have been checking the loop which works fine, and the array as well. The if statement works until im starting to use "isText".
After searching a bit I noticed "isText" is not a function, is there something equivalent?
Right now my if statement goes as follows: IF A = B and C (Contains ANY value at all) then Write something somewhere in a cell

This is how I solved it now. Basically whenever there is ANYTHING at all in that cell it will pass through.

You can do it like this:
If Sheets(2).Range("B9") = Soorten(Teller) And Len(Trim(Column1)) > 0 Then
The len will return the length of the string. The Trim will remove the empty spaces from left and right, thus if it is an empty string it will be true.

VBA - Struggling with worksheet_change. Not working with no error given

I have a sheet in which our wholesale team are to enter L09 Part Codes and quickly see how much we have in stock of that item. The problem is that new starters may struggle to learn these part numbers as they don't follow a simple rule. What I did was create an easier code to remember which is simply: "Cable Type" & "Core Size" & "Cut Length", they also have the option to add "Colour" and "Brand" separated by spaces.
Their entered string may look like 6242y 2.5 100, or maybe 6242y 2.5 100 Grey, etc. and so where to look in my mapped table for what they've written depends on how many terms they put in. As you can see from the attached picture I need to select the correct column to look in for their code, and then offset back a few columns to suggest the correct L09 Part Number.
I hope the context makes a bit of sense and helps with the below code. The idea was for a new starter to enter something simple and it be replaced before their very eyes...

Nothing Happening a Simple Condition in VBA

In excel, I want to impose a cell to be 0 if a condition is matched, but editable if not. My condition is that another cell's value = 1. This is my minimal example VBA line:
If Range("B4").Value = 1 Then Range("C4").Value = 0
But nothing is happening even though B4 is set to 1! Is there something missing in this code? Thanks!
Qualify the Range objects with the specific worksheets you want to analyze / alter. This is best practice for VBA and ensures the code acts on the specific places you need it to.
For example:

You have to refer to the sheet as well. E.g.,

You can, using something like this (VB.Net, but may copy easily to VBA):

The Chr() function gets the character associated with the character code (66-76), and then this value is concatenated with the string "17" to form a complete cell name ("B17", "C17", ...)
I am also incrementing the cell number for G at the same time.

Establish your rules! What is changing in the range for active sheet? The column is going to grow as the for/to cycle does! So, we should sum that to it. What is the another thing that is going to increment? The Range in the other side of the '=' so, by setting an algorithm, we may say that the row is const in the Activesheet range and the column is the on variable on the other side.

The first rule of good code is that it should be clear - easy to read and debug. Only afterwards do you try to make it "fast". Converting your current expression to VBA may give a speed advantage but you still don't meet the first test...
You can make things cleaner with an expression like this (you can put this right in your spreadsheet):
=ISERROR(MATCH(H10,{"GL402","GL412","GL422","GL432","GL442","GL452","GL492","GL480","GL370","GL380","GL710"},0))
This will evaluate to "true" if the the value in H10 does not match any of the values in the array.
When you have a lot of or conditions in parallel, you can basically stop when the first condition is true.
An expression like that can be written in VBA as follows:

You can repeat similar code with other expressions, building match2, match3, etc - then combining with all the And and Or that you would like - for example
If match1 And (match2 Or match3) Then
... do something

This won't work as expected:
If x = 1 Or 2 Or 3 Then

because 2 and 3 aren't boolean (true/false) conditions (at least not the way you expect them to be).
The proper syntax is:
If x = 1 Or x = 2 Or x = 3 Then

This is only a partial answer that nevertheless does address one of the many issues in your code.

Keeping a count in a dictionary, bad result when running the code, good result adding inspections

Weird problem. Stepping through the code with inspections gives me correct answers. Just running it doesn't.
This program loops through each cell in a column, searching for a regex match. When it finds something, checks in a adjacent column to which group it belongs and keeps a count in a dictonary. Ex: Group3:7, Group5: 2, Group3:8
Just stepping through the code gives me incorrect results at the end, but adding and inspection for each known item in the dictionary does the trick. Using Debug.Print for each Dictionary(key) to check how many items I got in each loop also gives me a good output.

Next
You're getting different results stepping through the code because there's a bug/feature with dictionaries that if you inspect items using the watch or immediate window the items will be created if they don't already exist.
To see this put a break point at the first line under the variable declarations, press F5 to run to the break point, then in the immediate window type set DictContador = new Dictionary so the dictionary is initialised empty and add a watch for DictContador("a"). You will see "a" added as an item in the locals window.
Collections offer an alternative method that don't have this issue, they also show values rather than keys which may be more useful for debugging. On the other hand an Exists method is lacking so you would either need to add on error resume next and test for errors instead or add a custom collection class with an exists method added. There are trade-offs with both approaches.
