I like to use reaction commerce, I am using a windows pc I need to set up my pc for development, can u tell guys tell me how to do that
It's not that hard as you think:
Here's the doc to guide you through installation.
Installation Guide
You need to install,
Chocklatey
Meteor
Node.js
NPM
Reaction CLI
That's it.
You can always find the windows equivalent commands on internet.

I am using this guide to to have my SSR application running on Firebase. In the guide he references a server/index.js which he points to with his dev command. But my server folder is missing, and I noticed that more people in the comments were talking about this. And they said that when installing nuxt you have the option to install it with express. But I did not have such an option when installing it with
npx create-nuxt-app <project-name>
Which I got from here
So how can I use a express server (which I need because firebase uses it under the hood as well)?
If you are following someone's blog. Make sure you're using the same version. This might be happening because of use of different verison.
I have searched alot on Google, but cannot seem to find any guidelines or definitive answers.
The closest I got was an article stating that I should generate my ssh keys from within WSL and use that ssh key on Windows aswell, which makes sense.
But what about other tools?
I.e. yarn, flutter, nodejs/npm, .net etc?
I found that installing yarn from chocolatey, also allowed me to use yarn within my WSL Ubuntu shell.
However, the same was not true for nodejs nor flutter.
For flutter specifically I found this open issue:
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/41742
But perhaps someone can shed some light on what the "best practice" are for installing tools/software using WSL?
Here is my situation. I am on a Mac using Brew as my package manager. I had mono installed on my machine and I was doing all sorts of development in C#. I was doing web development, gui development, ect. When I tried to update my machine using Brew, I got an error. Uninstalling Mono solved the issue.
So, what I did is I toyed around and I created a 2nd user on my machine. Now, this user doesn't need anything to work. I just need Mono and Mono Develop to work on this user without installing anything globally. Everything needs to be installed locally.
So to be specific, I am the only on who uses my machine. My /Users directory looks like this.
/Users/dillon
/Users/dummy
So if I could install mono, in let's say:
/Users/dummy/.mono
Then in my .profile:
export MONO_PATH=/Users/dummy/.mono
Obviously this isn't a perfect world but I was wondering if anyone is an expert on this subject?
(Also, I use this dummy user for other stuff, I use it for Wine and I have a collection of software from school on this user.)
You need to build Mono from source to install it into a custom location (in which case you can install it anywhere you like).
You can install MonoDevelop.app anywhere, but getting it to use your custom Mono is a bit trickier. You might be able to make it work by mucking around with the relevant environment variables though.
How to install Mono in a custom location and the relevant environment variables is all covered here: http://mono-project.com/Parallel_Mono_Environments
I am trying to install Egit on my eclipse using market place.
The problem i am facing is that the installation gets stuck at 49%. I waited for almost 2 hours yesterday but still the installation did not happen. Has anyone faced any such problems before?
Is there a manual way i can install Egit. i.e. by downloading a package and then installing. I am using windows 7 machine.
Can anyone please guide me on this issue?
P.s: I have gone through the previous asked questions, and i do not have many other sites being used as download pages.(So it is not slow due to loading of many sites)
What has worked for me is the following:
Find a mirror in your country, in my case was http://eclipse.tsl.gr/egit/updates-1.3/
Go to install software and paste the mirror url in the work with box and select the packages you wish to install
This is the solver: un check "Contact all update sites during install to find required software"
I am not sure whether it helped but I also updated Java to latest version while trying to install EGit on Helios.
Have you tried installing EGit from the following update site?
http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates
You can use this update site by going to:
Help > Install New Software...
and enter the URL in the Work with: text box
I had the same problem as the OP with all marketplace plugins. My downloads of plugins consistently got stuck on 48% or 49% and would eventually time out.
In my case, I solved the problem by turning off my antivirus and then downloading plugins.
While my antivirus was turned off, I did not browse the web. I also ran antivirus and anti malware scans afterwards.
Sorry about the confusing title.
Are there any web IDEs available that can be downloaded and installed on a local server.
For example something like cloud9 or shiftedit but that I can use locally.
I am aware of the ACE text editor which seems to be what a lot of this stuff is based off of but it doesn't seem to do syntax highlighting for mixed html/php/javascript.
Can't you use cloud9 locally? https://github.com/ajaxorg/cloud9
also, goorm IDE can be alternative~
http://github.com/xenoz0718/goorm/
or npm install goorm -g
