I added a Trello (for example) connector and built a PowerApp on top of it. The problem is, we need to share/publish the app to multiple clients now, and obviously, they do not want to share their Trello (for example) login credentials.
I tried to do a research on this, but, didn't find a good solution. Only possibility which I could think about is adding Trello (for example) as a Custom Connector. But, then, why would I use PowerApps? I could have achieved it in my ASP.Net-MVC website itself.
How can I add a Trello (for example) authentication or a login screen in PowerApps? Is it possible to do this in first place? Am I missing something in PowerApps where I could achieve it easily?
Thanks in advance!

I have an application with (nuxt js using nuxt-auth) with local authentication so far (later I want to add git and google auth).
Now I need to add authentication to invoke other services / API (like google cloud rest API, payment system, youtube API, etc...)
The question is: the user is authenticated only once (during login to the application.) but each of these 3rd party APIs has its own authentication.
How to implement multiple authentications. (I read the documentation and google for the entire day but there is no clear answer).
As of today, it looks like it is not doable (people are needed on this module): https://github.com/nuxt-community/auth-module/issues/889
So, you would need to make it manually by plugging the APIs yourself.
Answer to your latest question~comment
Nuxt is indeed nice with some of it's modules (but you can totally dislike it, no problem :D).
First thing that you need to know, is that this project (nuxt-auth) is not the biggest one, #pooya is doing his best but he is on a lot of projects, so he cannot give all of his love to it. Then, you also need to understand that it's working great but it's still in a decent beta state with a lot of missing features, needed documentation and a lot of small things to make it an all rounded solid top notch solution.
That do not mean that you should not use it, I'm just saying that this module do have some limitations. Hence, the fact that it is not supporting a whole lot of OAuth solutions in a clear + simple + flexible way. And some breaking changes may be introduced in future updates.
The module is aimed towards having an OAuth solution to block the content of your website behind it (in my opinion). It means that you will usually use a single login solution and then, being able to have access to your app. I don't think that it's a viable multi-OAuth solution (yet).
Some services don't even need to use a solution like this. Stripe for example, should not be handled on the frontend but communicate with a backend for sensitive variables and just send minimal info thanks to Stripe Elements.
That said, the most common solution is JWT or OAuth2, and you could totally have a backend service or service like Okta, Auth0 or alike, do the heavy lifting by allowing simple logins to providers (Github, Google etc...).
To sum up, you do connect to this backend/service thanks to nuxt-auth, the service itself does the provider connection and you get the best of both worlds while still connected in a secure way through your initial nuxt-auth entry point login.
Or you could try to reach the community on Discord, see if somebody knows how to do it. Or even try to read the source code to see if it is currently feasable.
And that's my 2cts.
I want to get two statistics (Visits today, visits total) from my GoogleAnalytics account.
I checked Google Analytics resources such as
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/?hl=en
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/v3/reference
But it seems pretty time-consuming to get a certain ID, oAuth and everything working.
I do not need any user authentication, just an API request from my backend (GA authentication should be provided via request url for example).
To be honest, I found myself jumping from one link to another when doing tutorial and did not accomplish anything at the end.
What is the quickest way to get everything working? If there is a nice tutorial on getting JUST basic (two numbers) stuff from GoogleAnalytics I would be very grateful (everything I see is working almost as GA itself - just with custom styles/graphs etc. I need plain and simple number returned via REST api for instance.)
Thanks for any info!
Auth is understandably complicated, but it sounds like you need service account authentication since you are querying your own data and need it to run on the back end.
The quickest way to get from zero to querying the API is to follow the Hello Analytics Guide. I have linked you to the PHP service account page. But there are examples of service accounts, web apps, and installed apps in four different languages.
But an outline of the main steps are
Create a project in the Google developer console
Within that project create a service account and download the p12 file.
add that service account email to the particular view you wish to query.
You are now ready to modify the Hello Analytics example.
Below is a simple query for the number sessions today:
function getResults(&$analytics) {
return $analytics->data_ga->get(
'ga:XXXX', // Replace with your view ID.
'today',
'today',
'ga:sessions');
}
Feel free to ask any clarifying questions in the comments section.
I don't know if this is the right place for this question but I hope anyone knows the answer!
I want to use the since=lastView option in https://trello.com/docs/api/board/.
Does anyone knows what this means exactly? The lastView for this special board via API or for this special board but for the user including the API or maybe the last view of the user at all and not on this special board.
Thanks, I couldn't find any information inside the trello documentation.
since=lastView is how the unread activity indicator is rendered in the Trello apps. The view is thus per board, but the routes that can update that record "views" are private. I would suggest using since with a date for most uses.
I was redirected here by Shopify support. I have three main questions for a project I'll be working on and wanted to see how possible some of the things would be.
We are looking to develop a plugin for use with Shopify to track purchases through the use of a link shortener (to see which link referred what purchases, etc.). I have a few questions that I'm not 100% sure on even after reading through the documentation.
The first problem that I seem to have is tracking the query string that the link shortener appends to the URL once it redirects. For this service, they use "?visit_id={hash}" and I need to be able to access this--at the very least on the "Thank You" page after an order. I saw in the docs that there is "landing_page_ref" (http://wiki.shopify.com/Order#landing_site_ref) but considering our query string is "visit_id" instead of one of the acceptable parameters, how would I be able to use that query string?
Lastly, I just have a question about how webhooks work with plugins that are on the app store. I know I can just call webhooks to wherever I want, like my personal server, but if this app gets onto the app store, I obviously don't want to hook everything to my own server. Is there a way to make it run on the store itself, and which URL should I use?
Lastly, what is the preferred method for handling configuration options for the plugin? Is there a way to hook into the admin backend or would all configuration have to be in a file within the plugin?
Thanks,
Andrew
I'll do my best to answer these for you. It sounds like you're used to building plugins for something like Wordpress - Shopify apps are a bit different.
You can't access anything on the thank you page for the order.
The thank you page/checkout process goes through a secured Shopify page that you don't have access to - so if you want information about what your URL shortener attached to the store pages, you'll need to retrieve it while they're on the page (using something like a ScriptTag + Javascript to track the query string), or hope that it's inside the Order when you retrieve it later (using the API or a webhook).
Webhooks need to talk to a server you run.
They send the information to you, and then you process it and deal with it. If you want to use webhooks, you will need to run a server with your app on it for the webhooks to talk to.
You manage your own config.
Because you're running your own server to handle those webhooks, you handle configuration for your plugin there. The apps I've worked on typically have their own database for managing configuration options, as well as an admin panel to manage them (it's what the user accesses when they click 'Log Into [Your App]' on the "Manage Apps" screen).
You'll need to run your own server to host your Shopify app.
Is it possible to have the user "like" your page during the registration process using the Facebook Registration/log in function on my website. I know you can have custom fields, but I don't see anything that talks about this. Please tell me where I can find this information. I don't want to be repetitive on my website by having them do this twice.
Authenticating an application is not the same as liking an application. So they are two distinct things. You can create something called a fan-gate to prevent the user from seeing the good stuff if they don't like your app. Google fan-gate and you will see some examples of how to implement.
