I have spent quite a time trying to load the Initial Project generated by the AspnetBoilerplate startup template all to no avail. This is a .net core template (JQuery with MVC) with Target Cross platform.
See error sample below
I installed the dotnet core 2 for VS 2017. The project won't just build. I can not see anything related to NetStandard, yet that seems to be what the project supports
Any help i can get will be appreciated

I need to run the application in the browser.
Please delete the bin folder and rebuild your project.
I'm having trouble with Visual Studio 2019 not finding the .NET Core SDKs.
I have installed a preview version of .NET Core 3.0 (v.9) and removed all the previous version of .NET Core SDKs.
When I am trying to create an ASP.NET Core Web Application from the template form in VS2019, I am getting the following error below:
No .NET Core SDKs were detected, ensure they are included in the environment variable 'PATH'. https://i.imgur.com/ye1rliG.png
I have checked on my environment variables and the paths to the dotnet core folders are available. https://i.imgur.com/Jz8T9eQ.png
Also, I have the Use previews of the .NET Core SDKs in the Tools->Options->Environment->Preview Features, selected.
Has anyone else got any ideas where I can take it from as I have followed Microsoft help guide on this issue but to no avail?
I am working on a .net core web application with razor pages.
My application structure is like :
DemoCoreApplication with class Libraries "BLL.Data" and "BLL".
In BLL.Data, I have made the DB context then I have added the reference of "BLL. Data" project into my main project i.e: DemoCoreApplication.
Refrences in BLL.Data class library:
After building the main project (DemoCoreApplication), I got some strange version conflicting errors.
I believe the following steps will solve your problem
Install .Net Core 2.2 SDK (if you don't have)
Convert all projects in the solution to use .Net Core 2.2
Rebuild, Start the project
i was able to get the sample asp.net embedded powerbi to work with my reports
now i have to migrate it aspnetcore
i was hopeful when i saw this post - seeing that someone was able to get it done
Embed Power BI Report In ASP.Net Core Website
so i:
started a new project with the aspnetcore
installed the powerbi package
now when compiling im getting this warning:
Package 'Microsoft.PowerBI.Api 2.0.11' was restored using '.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1' instead of the project target framework '.NETCoreApp,Version=v2.0'. This package may not be fully compatible with your project.
i searched and couldnt find a powerbi package that was specific to aspnetcore
is there one? will there be a conflict crossing cores? or does it not matter?
UPDATE:
4.6.1 powerbi package does indeed work with aspnetcore 2
but looking forward to a powerbi package specifically coded for core
As you can see this is just a warning, not an error. That warning appears because .NET Core 2.0 applications can use some Nuget packages which target .NET Framework 4.6.1 (or less). However, this inclusion might fail if the referenced .NET 4.x package contains some API not included into .NET Core/.NET Standard 2.0
So, my advice - try to run your application. If it works well at the first glance - then, most probably that PowerBI package does not contain any not supported APIs and will work well further. If it fails right at start - then you will need to wait for the release of the new version of that package which targets .NET Standard 2.0.
I am trying to build a .NET Core application. For this purpose I create a new MVC project from the template ASP.NET Core Web Application (.NET Core).
Once I do this, I inevitably need to install some NuGet packages, and see that there are 26 updates available for my project. So I hit "update all" and get into a big mess. One was having to manually edit the project.json to make the .NETCore.App an object with {"version":"2.0.0","type":"platform"}. Now in the project.json most of the stuff is at version 2.0.0 but I get all these error messages in the Error List, and all of them say pretty much the same thing: The dependency Microsoft.AspNetCore.Authentication.Cookies 2.0.0 does not support framework .NETCoreApp,Version=v1.0
What is my missing step?
Answer came in form of comment:
VS2015 is no longer supported for .Net Core projects. You need to upgrade and migrate your project.json to .csproj too. – DavidG
