I'm searching to see if it's possible creating a payment connector similar to the one in this diagram:
Connector Diagram
I have a COM library which receives requests, communicates with the payment device & payment provider, and returns back their responses.
The COM library is registered locally:
COMLib /Register
I just pass user account & password to authenticate:
Authenticate(user, password)
I pass DeviceAddress & StoreCode to register payment device:
RegisterDevice(DeviceAddress, StoreCode);
Then pass amount, currency, (...) for transactions:
CreateTransaction(merchantDetails,amount,currency,transactionType, merchantReference,orderReference,shopperEmail);
I don't need to deal with any endpoints as that's hidden and the COM library handles that.
Can this connector be created in Dynamics 365 ?
Any suggestions ?
Does anyone have code examples or useful links ?
I've checked D365 documentation and it looks that the Hardware Station is the nearest thing to what I need to achieve.
Thank you for your help.

So I am thinking of moving my current eCommerce System to Shopify and I wanted to evaluate, if certain functions are available. I am selling software/digital goods, that do have internal protection utilizing a licensing snippet (verifying a serial code). So regarding the most common use-flows, I wanted to check, if the following two things are configurable and of course how to do that:
1.) Guest Purchase with external license & serial creation:
User makes a purchase that is confirmed and processed
Shopify calls an external service for license & serial creation (with users email as unique id)
External service creates user, license and serial & sends back serial code
Shopify sends out the purchase confirmation mail with order detail & serial code
2.) User: change of email
Shopify user will try an email address update
Shopify will send the update to external service to update external database
I understand, that parts of this are doable with WebHooks, but I understand hooks to be uni-directional and async - so I could not intercept the sending of a purchase confirmation mail to enrich it's content beforehand (e.g. with a serial). Is that correct?
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
It is most definitely possible. All you have to do is installl third party shopify apps. There are many of them and you can definitely find some of them to meet both you're needs.
You can get more info at the shopify website.
This is my first attempt to use an API. I followed the instructions for registering for an Edmunds API (http://developer.edmunds.com/).
I registered for an account, got an email from them to confirm, clicked on that link, and got a request to register my application, which I filled out.
But when I log into my account and click on "keys", all I get is the message "You don't have any keys yet".
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
Here is the email response I got from Edmunds:
Joe,
Thank you for your interest in the Edmunds Open API Program.
Unfortunately, we are in the process of retiring our Open API Program. Therefore, we are unable to issue you an API key at this time.
Regards,
Edmunds
UPDATE
The Edmunds API has been shutdown.
I would like to also recommend this website, it contains a list of the latest car information/database APIs.
I can't remember exactly how I created mine, I believe I created my dev account and then received an api key link via email. I clicked the link and it took me to a page where I could setup my app and receive an api key. You should have received said email by now.
If that doesn't work then try emailing: api#edmunds.com
An alternative to Edmunds API would be Marketcheck Cars API
The developer portal is given here with Comprehensive API documentation
The APIs supported are
Inventory Search API
VIN History API
Dealers API
VIN Decoder API
CRM Cleanse API
and lots more APIs coming up like - Market APIs with active and historical market averages, trends, dealer sales stats, dealer ranking, deal ranking, total cost to own, car market values (like Edmunds TMV) coming up
We are using the Skype for Business Web SDK in our application to show the presence of contacts.
When the contact is someone inside the user's organisation (and therefore the same AD instance as the user), we register a callback function on the contact's status onChange event and this works well.
However, when the contact is outside the user's organisation (and therefore a different AD instance to the user), we find that the contact's status onChange event never fires and so there is no way to know their status.
The code we are using is as follows:
skypeContactService.subscribeToStatusChange = function (contact) {
contact.status.changed(function (status) {
...
});
contact.status.subscribe();
};
I wouldn't have thought this is a deliberate security measure, because in Outlook Online's Skype for Business functionality you are able to see the presence of external contacts.
So perhaps this is a bug in the Skype for Business Web SDK? Or perhaps it is functionality that hasn't been implemented yet?
Would someone from Microsoft be able to clarify whether there is a plan to enable getting presence for contacts outside of the user's organisation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Federation should be required to see presence and do conversation related activities like IM, Audio, Video. I am not an expert on this side of Skype/Lync, but I would suggest looking over the Federation Documentation as I would argue you have no link to the external users, so you would not be able to see that information.
To solve your exact problem you would need to have federation with any organization that you want to be able to see presence or start conversations.
It could be that they are federated with your organization so they can see your presence information or if they are hosted online (O365), it may be there are alternate APIs that expose presence information without being federated. Are they able to start an IM or A/V conversation with any of your users (it should fail because your side is not federated)?
I am developing an Intuit App Center app using the V3 SDK written in vb.net.
Is it possible to get/control the list of connected users that is listed in the Reports section of the Manage My Apps area in the Intuit Partner Platform? Specifically, the area where you view your connections and are able to disconnect users so you don't get charged for that connection.
I would like to be able to control that list from within my application for billing purposes. I have heard that it is possible to manipulate the list programmatically but I'm unsure how to do it.
This should definitely be do-able, but there's not a specific API for it.
There are really 3 components to tracking this information:
Have they EVER connected - you'll know this already because if they connected they will have gone through the OAuth process on your website and you'll have a token for them.
Are they connected NOW - you can test this by making an OAuth request to any of Intuit's services - if you get back a successful response, you know they are currently connected, vs. if you get back a 401 error you know the token is expired/no longer good.
Disconnecting them - you can choose to explicitly disconnect a user (and thus no longer get charged for their usage) by using the disconnect API call.
There is no billing API available.
You need to check it from the appcenter.

My client requires an sms to be sent to him, whenever an invoice is made on his system by any of the employees. I have no idea how to configure it. Do I need to buy any sms-server service?
How to integrate into my application?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
I am not sure what country you are in. But in the UK i use this provider.
They have excellent examples
I can send SMS from my webserver, my Windows .NET Form application, a iPhone app if i wanted to. This is possible because it uses a simple HTTP Request API, so even using JavaScript AJAX from the client will work.
Just search for SMS Gateway and find your countries advisability. Look at a few and decide which one suits your needs and also the costs involved.
My Provider charger per sms.. no signup fees, no contracts, just top up.
Using a mobile phone is more involved, but obviosly it has the benefit that you control every aspect of sending, receiving and processing data.
for example 1, 2, 3
You can even buy a module from china just designed to interface via Serial to send/recieve SMS, and even use the GPRS to get/send HTTP request.
There is two option
1) have to buy service from provider or
2) you have to connect your mobile with pc and send msg using AT command
A lot of carriers will allow SMS via e-mail. This may be a better option for you.
Here is a list of the e-mail address formats for a number of carriers.
