The indexing is getting failed with the following error at the stage of EndecaScriptService
The cas crawl is getting failed with a wierd socketTimeout exception which is quite random. Not sure whether this is because of the size of the data set that is getting indexed.

Using ATG 11.2 & Endeca 11.2
From the ATG Support Documentation:
"httpSocketTimeout" is the maximum period of inactivity in milliseconds between two consecutive data packets before http times out. An in adequate value in this can cause the Read timed out error.
By default the "httpSocketTimeout" is set to 60 secs. Increasing this resolves the read timeout error.
To fix this issue, edit the /<app>/config/script/DataIngest.xml in the deployed app to add <property name="httpSocketTimeout" value="(some value)" />
Your file will look something like this:
<property name="casHost" value="localhost" />
<property name="casPort" value="8500" />
<property name="httpSocketTimeout" value="180000" />
<property name="numPartialsBackups" value="5" />
You will need to experiment with the httpSocketTimeout until you no longer get the timeout. At some point you may need to increase it again.

What new or additional configurations/code do I need to include to turn this EC2 checking off in my local environment when running against localstack?
This is a warning message logged directly from AWS SDK and inside Spring Cloud AWS we have no control over it. Following documentation, just turn this warning off by adding a line to your application.properties config file:
logging.level.com.amazonaws.util.EC2MetadataUtils=error
I keep getting this bind exception in the logs while have tomcat process running.
It doesn't prohibit my process from start but still this is a problem.

What have I tried already:
lsof | grep -i process/port/ip
netstat -tlnp
I tried to find if any other application is using the port or not. But no other application is using it.
It is free linux centos.
It is strange.
ok.
Even the SEVERE exception is there in the logs of catalina but I can get to the server and get landing page.
Still I have to figure out why did it keep writing that Exception.
I have create Red hat Linux VM in Azure and installed my Java application in it.
I have created Storage account with container.
Also I have created SAS token for storage account on Azure Portal. Below are the tokens:-
SAS token:-
sv=2015-12-11&ss=b&srt=sco&sp=rwdlac&se=2017-01-05T12:04:00Z&st=2017-01-05T11:54:00Z&spr=https&sig=EUWHyuVzv5CRlvSmg6jRuEfa8RnTNi7FLsdfcdspL6EurLMzY%3D
Blob token:-
https://ACCOUNT_NAME.blob.core.windows.net/CONTAINER_NAME?sv=2015-12-11&ss=b&srt=sco&sp=rwdlac&se=2017-01-05T12:04:00Z&st=2017-01-05T11:54:00Z&spr=https&sig=EUWHyuVzv5CRlvSmg6jRuEfa8RnTNi7FLsdfcdspL6EurLMzY%3D
Now I want to access my storage container with above token.
core-site.xml
<name>fs.azure.sas.CONTAINER_NAME.ACCOUNT_NAME.blob.core.windows.net</name>
<value>sv%3D2015-12-11%26ss%3Db%26srt%3Dsco%26sp%3Drwdlac%26se%3D2017-01-05T12%3A04%3A00Z%26st%3D2017-01-05T11%3A54%3A00Z%26spr%3Dhttps%26sig%3DEUWHyuVzv5CRlvSmg6jRuEfa8RnTNi7FLsdfcdspL6EurLMzY%253D</value>
</property>

Kindly help me to solve this issue.
I think you need an access key and not a SAS (as per https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/stable/hadoop-azure/index.html#Configuring_Credentials):
<property>
<name>fs.azure.account.key.youraccount.blob.core.windows.net</name>
<value>YOUR ACCESS KEY</value>
</property>
These keys can be found on the portal on the level of your storage account.
this is my first post
Hope will get solution.
I am getting below exceptions while starting glassfish server on solaris m/c and server is not starting.
After searching some of the blogs i found that it could be resolved by restarted m/c.
I want to find the cause...
Please help ...

Thanks and regards,

If you want to change the domain's ports without starting glassfish, you can do this by editing the xml domain's config file
domainName/config/domain.xml
Hope this will help you.
Good Luck
You should probably start by finding out what process is using port 3700 and find out if you can kill it.
If you cannot kill that process, you can use asadmin's create-domain subcommand to create a new domain that does not use the 'standard GlassFish ports'... The easiest way to do that is with the --portbase option.
I hosted a jsp service to access a java class to send a request to a server. I hosted this service in Tomcat 6.0 server hosted in my local computer and it worked fine. But when I tried it with another server which has Tomcat 5.5 I'm getting this error.
Error report is given below. I'll be really grateful if someone can help.
Error Report
description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

I solved this problem by installing Tomcat6 and uninstalling tomcat5.5. The problem was caused by the directories where we stored them and the java library path. They all have to be set properly. So apt-get installation is not advisable. Better download the tar and install it manually.
