Context : I'm using some mouse events in excel-vba to interact with another software. My mouse is moving and clicking at different places and everything is working well. Meanwhile, the goal of these instructions is to ask my other software to open a pdf file. I am working on 2 screens; my software is on one screen and my pdf are opening on the other one.
Issue : When the pdf file opened, it disturbs the activity of my mouse on my first screen. Consequently, it's not responsive when my mouse continue to click.
Is there a way to keep my first screen active whatever is happening on the other one?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

I’m not sure what are these called:
I mean the Show code with my wire stats, Show Memory indicator, etc..
Basically, I’m mostly interested so this autocomplete menu would only show files, or at the very least would prioritise files. How can this be achieved?
I’m in version 2022.2.1.
That popup is called Search Everywhere and you are on an "All" tab that includes combined results from Classes, Files, Symbols, Actions etc.
Either manually switch to the desired tab (using a mouse or by hitting Tab needed number of times) or invoke this popup for the desired search from the start. For that just use the shortcut for Navigate | File... (Ctrl + Shift + N here on Windows keymap).

Found the solution.
These things are called Actions, and the can be disabled in menu that appears after clicking the small funnel icon in the top right:
I tested, these changes seem to 'survive' a restart.
Yes, at the moment it is remembered only during the session.

(P.S. The same happens with Find in Files popup (IDEA-143972) and a few others similar popups as well)
I need to make a form visible even when I switch desktop on Windows 10 (by pressing Ctrl-Windows-Arrow) if possible, without any 2nd party lib
You can create multiple desktops by pressing Windows-Tab and clicking the + on the bottom-right corner.
Normally, a form only appears in the original desktop it was shown, and can be dragged to another desktop, but won't appear in multiples at the same time.
I know it's possible, because the splash forms of some applications do this. (Ex: Word, Excel)
I searched all over the web, but couldn't find a solution.
EDIT: Another app that I know that does this is the Task Manager, when you mark the "Always Show" checkbox.
This may be of some help. You have to dive into the world of AutoHotKey but this will solve your issues I'm pretty sure:

Set your form's topmost property to true? Have you tried that?
I'm working on a NSMenuBar application and another NSMenuBar app seems to influence the display behaviour of my application!? More precisely: Adobe's Creative Cloud Application. When I click on that (creative cloud) Icon, the popup-view appears. Afterwards, when I click on my StatusBar Icon, my Menu appears, BUT, all the NSMenuItem's that should be Enabled are suddenly Disabled, and not interactive anymore.
Some observations:
When I log the enabled-state of the NSMenuItem, it logs correctly as being Enabled, but it is clearly not displaying as enabled (see screenshot), and clicking on it simply closes the Menu without performing the associated action. I do the logging with the following code:
-(void)menuWillOpen:(NSMenu *)menu
{
dispatch_after(dispatch_time(DISPATCH_TIME_NOW, 1 * NSEC_PER_SEC),
dispatch_get_main_queue(),
^{
NSLog(#"preferences menu-item is enabled: %hhd",[self.preferenceMenuItem isEnabled]);
});
}
The NSMenu I use is set to setAutoenablesItems:NO.
Also, Adobe's Creative Cloud uses a popup-view. And when it is opened, It clearly hovers over the screen-real-estate that my NSMenu is using.
When I try to reproduce this with other NSMenuBar applications (e.g. Apple's Wifi or Bluetooth) it all works. No problem. Then again, those applications don't use Popover-views, and they don't completely overlap the space of my app.

What Am I missing here? Apps should not be influencing each other like this right? I'm slowly but surely losing my mind over this. Any help MUCH appreciated! Thnx!!
I have found the solution to my own problem. So I hope I will help anybody else struggling with this.
I was using my main xib file menu (with the status-bar) and referenced that menu to open when clicking on the statusbar icon. This caused the app to get in focus and to display two times the same menu (although not open at the same time), one under the statusbar-icon as intended, and one on the left side next to the apple symbol. Whenever the statusbar-menu was somehow getting deactivated, the left menu was still working, as if the focus was shifted to that one.
For me the solution was to decouple my referenced menu from the xib's menu, by dragging it outside the parent-menu. It's weird because somehow it's not visible anymore in InterfaceBuilder, but it's definitely still there. See screenshots:

Im using PDFtron on a windows store app project.
I have a page with a back button and a pdf viewer where i can edit the pdfs.
When im editing a pdf i have a tool bar with options like the ones in the samples, but i have a issue when i choose a Free Text tool and start writing on the pdf, if i press the back button while the Free Text tool is active ( the cursor is bliking) the text i wrote appears in the screen on the next page i navigate to.
How can i solve this?
The TextBox in question is part of the PDFViewCtrlTools that are used to create annotations. It is shipped with the sample application and is fully open source.
The TextBox is inside a popup, positioned to align itself on top of the PDFViewCtrl in the position where you tapped.
This TextBox needs to be closed before you go back. It is quite easy to do so by calling ToolManager.CreateDefaultTool(). In general, I would recommend taking a look at the samples and see what they're doing when the user tries to navigate away from the page.
Everytime you navigate away from a page with PDFViewCtrl, the ToolManager should call CreateDefaultTool so that whatever current tool is active (in this case the FreeTextCreate tool) can close itself and clean up.
I built a small wxFrame GUI, originally on Linux using CodeLite+wxCrafter, but on Windows the controls are not visible until I click on a notebook page and back, or resize the form, or hover the mouse over a control. I created a new Windows CodeLite+wxCrafter project and it does not display this issue. I tried comparing all the details between the two projects to see what differences there were, but couldn't find any that fixed the issue. I'm puzzled.
For example, this is what I see when I run the app:
After clicking on the Advanced Page and then back to the Run Page or resizing the form, this is what I see:
Or if I hover my mouse over say a wxButton (Open) it shows up:
This is what it should look like, after I click on the Advanced Page and back to the Run Page or resize the form, and then hover my mouse across all the text controls.
Any ideas what the display issue is?
