React Native iOS simulator only performs fetch on click - react-native

I have a weird bug in my simulator. iOS / React Native does a call, but it waits until I click inside the simulator to actually display the data (and show the result actions from Redux in my console.log).
Has anyone experienced this behaviour before?

If you're using remote JS debugging (in Chrome for example), try disabling it.
Update: Rather than disabling JS debugging completely, you can instead deactivate breakpoints and remove Pause on exceptions, which usually means you don't have to click to nudge the code to progress.
To do so in Chrome click the Sources tab in inspector, followed by the relevant file, then on the right ensure the two options are disabled. One looks like a bullet with a line through it (you want this to be blue), and the other looks like a pause icon in a circle (you want this to be grey).

SwiftUI navigationLink not working after dismissing destination from the stack

I haven't noticed this before, so it may be a bug with the new release.
When I click on a NavigationLink, everything works as expected. Then I can click the back button (which I have done with the default back button as well as a custom back button) and it still works. If I try to click the same NavigationLink again, it does not trigger the destination. I can click on a different NavigationLink, and it will work, and when I go back the first link is functional again. Only the last link is unavailable.
This seems to be the case in lists, forms, and free navigation links.
Has anyone encountered this functionality? Is there a fix for it?
Working on Xcode Version 11.3 (11C29)
Thank you for your help.
After a lot of searching and testing, this appears to be a bug specific to the simulator in the new release. When running the app on my phone it works perfectly. Hopefully it is fixed soon, but for now I can run testing on the phone.

How to restart application after sometime when we minimize it from home button and open it again

I have created Mobile application in React native.
My problem is that whenever i open my app from launcher icon and minimize for sometime (eg: 10 minutes) then if i re-open my application from recent apps or else on clicking launcher icon again it should restart the application as it opening for the first time.
But doesn't matter how much time i minimize the application when i open it again it will open as a previous state.
How to solve this issue.
What Navigation module are you using? Depending on it, you need to call a method to init the app and that method must be called again when you switch back to the app.
Normally, application has their inherent state as snapshot when it go to background if the user do not close directly.
If you are testing on android, pressing backbutton on top of the navigation makes close the application. (you can control this if you want.)
In iOS, pressing home button always send the application into background instead of close.
I am not sure what OS you are using for development. But refer it.

Remove buttons from Panel

Is it possible to remove or customize the Panel (PROBLEMS, OUTPUT, DEBUG CONSOLE and TERMINAL buttons/bar)? I think the bezel is too big.
The tab UI elements mentioned are baked into the current VS Code aesthetic and interface, and cannot be disabled.
If you wish to see a feature added allowing the disable of the tabs, please start an issue on the VS Code GitHub Issues page.

NSMenuBar apps influencing (disabling) each others views (NSMenuItem's) ? BUG

I'm working on a NSMenuBar application and another NSMenuBar app seems to influence the display behaviour of my application!? More precisely: Adobe's Creative Cloud Application. When I click on that (creative cloud) Icon, the popup-view appears. Afterwards, when I click on my StatusBar Icon, my Menu appears, BUT, all the NSMenuItem's that should be Enabled are suddenly Disabled, and not interactive anymore.
Some observations:
When I log the enabled-state of the NSMenuItem, it logs correctly as being Enabled, but it is clearly not displaying as enabled (see screenshot), and clicking on it simply closes the Menu without performing the associated action. I do the logging with the following code:
-(void)menuWillOpen:(NSMenu *)menu
{
dispatch_after(dispatch_time(DISPATCH_TIME_NOW, 1 * NSEC_PER_SEC),
dispatch_get_main_queue(),
^{
NSLog(#"preferences menu-item is enabled: %hhd",[self.preferenceMenuItem isEnabled]);
});
}
The NSMenu I use is set to setAutoenablesItems:NO.
Also, Adobe's Creative Cloud uses a popup-view. And when it is opened, It clearly hovers over the screen-real-estate that my NSMenu is using.
When I try to reproduce this with other NSMenuBar applications (e.g. Apple's Wifi or Bluetooth) it all works. No problem. Then again, those applications don't use Popover-views, and they don't completely overlap the space of my app.
Please see these screenshots as illustration:

What Am I missing here? Apps should not be influencing each other like this right? I'm slowly but surely losing my mind over this. Any help MUCH appreciated! Thnx!!
I have found the solution to my own problem. So I hope I will help anybody else struggling with this.
I was using my main xib file menu (with the status-bar) and referenced that menu to open when clicking on the statusbar icon. This caused the app to get in focus and to display two times the same menu (although not open at the same time), one under the statusbar-icon as intended, and one on the left side next to the apple symbol. Whenever the statusbar-menu was somehow getting deactivated, the left menu was still working, as if the focus was shifted to that one.
For me the solution was to decouple my referenced menu from the xib's menu, by dragging it outside the parent-menu. It's weird because somehow it's not visible anymore in InterfaceBuilder, but it's definitely still there. See screenshots:

changed product name in build settings, now app won't launch in simulator

I wanted a different title to be displayed in the sub-title under my iPad app's icon and changed the Product Name for my app under Build Settings.
This worked but has had a strange side effect. Whilst the app continued to work perfectly on a connected iPad, on the emulator it now behaves in a similar way to that described in [this question].1
Namely, it says it has finished running <my app> on iPad 6.0 Simulator
I tried changing the Product Name back but the problem persists.
I also tried some of the suggestions on the other question (e.g. removing armv7 frfom Required Device Capabilities) but nothing worked.
This isn't a showstopper at the moment as I have a real iPad to test on but I'd still like to understand what is going on, if anyone knows.
Sounds like time for a reboot of the Mac. Restarting Xcode might suffice. One other thing to try is to delete the app from the simulator.
I have seen this on iPhone simulator 6. Many a times, when you click "Run" again - it runs without problem.
However if that doesn't work, you may try one of the following:
Project->Command+Alt+Shift+K - a choice will appear saying something like clean folders. Do it.
In organizer, go to derived data folder (finder) using tiny arrow just at the right of your project. Try deleting your project from finder. If it doesnt delete at once, try it often.
Try resetting iPhone or iPad simulator.
Exit XCode and reopen project. Do the same with iPhone / iPad simulator.
If you are wondering why this is happening, no one really knows! It's just some flags gone bad, restored once you re-do everything for it to work, that's it.
Have you tried switching off the Debugger?
So Edit Schemes -> Debugger -> None
Also restarting the Simulator and Xcode and cleaning the project may help
Use another way: click on the azure icon of your project, keep the trackpad pressed until you see it allows to edit the name. Choose the name that you want, then a sheet like this will appear:
Click "rename" and you're done with it.
