Htaccess with special character - apache

I would like to do a redirection through the htaccess :
Old URL :
http://www.website.com/?p=5729
New URL :
http://www.website.com/jmsblog/notrevie/18_charlie-raconte-les-chaussettes-qui-puent.html
So I do this in htaccess :
redirect 301 /?p=5729 http://www.website.com/jmsblog/notrevie/18_charlie-raconte-les-chaussettes-qui-puent.html
But it doesn't work, probably because of special character.
Someone as an idea?

Here is the htaccess file :

You can not Redirect Querystring using Redirect directive. You need to use the following Rule :
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /\?p=5729
RewriteRule ^$ http://example.com/path/? [L,R]
Don't forget to include the ? at the end of the destination url as it removes the old querystring.

.htaccess without matching ifmodule?

I am trying to deploy a laravel api with apache, but I am constant getting "internal server error".In errorlog, error is defined with "C:/Apache24/htdocs/ErenA/public/.htaccess: without matching section". I tried changing .htaccess file, delete the ifmodule element in httpd.conf and keeping only "directory index index.html index.php" but nothing seems to working
so here is my .htaccess code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^public
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
# Handle Authorization Header
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} .
RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]
# Redirect Trailing Slashes If Not A Folder...
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (.+)/$
RewriteRule ^ %1 [L,R=301]
# Send Requests To Front Controller...
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
</IfModule>
And Also I will add httpd.conf ifModule:
<IfModule dir_module>
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html
</IfModule>
All AllowOverride is All and require all is granted in config file.
Can someone please help me?
You have 2 IfModule closing (</IfModule>), but only 1 opens <IfModule dir_module>
So your content should be like this:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^public
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
# Handle Authorization Header
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} .
RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]
# Redirect Trailing Slashes If Not A Folder...
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (.+)/$
RewriteRule ^ %1 [L,R=301]
# Send Requests To Front Controller...
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
</IfModule>
See that I have removed the middle </IfModule> and because you continue using Rewrite module (RewriteCond and RewriteRule), I just put those inside...

Redirect urls with .php to urls without .php extension (.htaccess)

Duplicate
The redirect using .htaccess doesn't redirect links with .php to without .php
.htaccess
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
# browser requests PHP
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /([^\ ]+)\.php
RewriteRule ^/?(.*)\.php$ /$1 [L,R=301]
# check to see if the request is for a PHP file:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^/?(.*)$ /$1.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress
Even then I could see that the example.com/example.php redirects to 404.
Any ideas or suggestions?
You must change the order of directives. Use:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
# browser requests PHP
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /([^\ ]+)\.php
RewriteRule ^/?(.*)\.php$ /$1 [L,R=301]
# check to see if the request is for a PHP file:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^/?(.*)$ /$1.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

.htaccess file accessing issue to a specific file

=> This is my folder structure
There is a file present name deploy_email.php
This is my .htaccess code
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/webm .webm
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z](3,)\s([^.]+)\.php [NC]
RewriteRule ^%1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*?)/?$ $1.php [NC,L]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s/+(.*?/)?(?:index)?(.*?)\.php[\s?/] [NC]
RewriteRule ^ /%1%2 [R=302,L,NE]
</IfModule>
The problem is i want the deploy_email.php file to be access with extension and rest of the file extensions should be hidden.
If i use the above .htaccess code while inspecting, i found that the data is not get by deploy_mail.php as you can see here => This here
Please provide some solution.
POST data gets lost while doing external redirection using R flag. You should skip all POST requests from redirect rule not just one file.
Replace all of your shown code with this:
RewriteEngine on
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/webm .webm
# redirect only all requests except POST
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} !POST
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s/+(.*?/)?(?:index)?(.*?)\.(?:php|html?)[\s?/] [NC]
RewriteRule ^ /%1%2 [R=302,L,NE]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.+?)/?$ $1.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.html -f
RewriteRule ^(.+?)/?$ $1.html [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.htm -f
RewriteRule ^(.+?)/?$ $1.htm [L]
Clear your browser cache and retest.

redirecting homepage without affecting other rules

My current .htaccess is given below.
# Make sure directory listing is disabled
Options +FollowSymLinks -Indexes
RewriteEngine on
# Send request via index.php (if it's not an existing file/folder)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule !mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
I want to redirect my homepage to another domain, but maintain all the /sub/directories.
So changed the rules as below.
# Make sure directory listing is disabled
Options +FollowSymLinks -Indexes
RewriteEngine on
# Send request via index.php (if it's not an existing file/folder)
#RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
#RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
#redirect
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/$
Rewriterule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/ [L,R=301]
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule !mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
Now all the /sub/directories are getting internel server error. Logs suggesting it's going on loops.
Any idea?
RewriteCond is only for the next RewriteRule.
Use that:
# Make sure directory listing is disabled
Options +FollowSymLinks -Indexes
RewriteEngine on
#redirect
RewriteRule ^$ http://example.com/ [L,R=301]
# Send request via index.php (if it's not an existing file/folder)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule !mod_php5.c>
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

Redirect www to non-www not working

I'm trying to redirect from www.mydomain.com to mydomain.com but I keep failing. I used default Laravel htaccess file and I modified it to remove www from my links.
Can someone tell me what's wrong here:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
# Redirect Trailing Slashes...
RewriteRule ^(.*)/$ /$1 [L,R=301]
# Handle Front Controller...
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_deflate.c>
<FilesMatch "\.(html|php|txt|xml|js|css)$">
SetOutputFilter DEFLATE
</FilesMatch>
</IfModule>
