Trac: users not visible - apache

I'm new to Trac (and to stackoverflow ;-) and I've finally managed to install the latest version of Trac (1.2.1) on my Ubuntu 16.04. It runs on Apache with a MySQL databse, and I installed it with the help of this tutorial: https://www.hiroom2.com/2016/08/06/ubuntu-16-04-install-trac/
I changed one thing in the trac.ini: restrict_owner: true, in order to get a "assign-to"-drop-down list with all the registered users.
When I create a new user with htdigest /var/lib/trac/test/.htdigest "test" newusername, I can normally log in with that user on Trac. The problem is that this user does not appear in the drop-down list. I tried to give the user all permissions (like create ticket, modify ticket etc.), but this doesn't help.
Does anyone has an idea how to solv this? It would help a lot!

Cannot get past Login screen in Modx Revo 2.7.0pl

My problem: Users don't get further from login screen. They show up as logged-in in the manager log and Whos online, but the login screen just shows an empty login-form after submit login.
It all worked for several days after last upgrade to 2.7.0.pl, and then suddenly stopped.
Error log: (ERROR # /home/verkejml/public_html/core/model/modx/moduser.class.php : 362) PHP warning: session_regenerate_id(): Cannot regenerate session id - session is not active.
Tried:
Delete all files in core/cache.
Delete browser cache and cookies.
Different browsers and different users with different permissions, up
to admin.
Reading all forum questions about the same problem, no luck.
I have one admin user logged in, and I'm super afraid to log out that user, if I'm not able to login again, and therefor can't access the manager again.
My setup:
Modx Revo 2.7.0pl.
Just a few "standard" extras installed, all updated.
PHP 7.0.33
Question: Is there anything I can do without reinstall everything, and by that be forced to log out my only logged in user?

Well, there are any problems with MODX 2.7 + PHP 7.* nowadays.
Here are other possible steps which may help you:
Disable anonymous_sessions setting and relogin again
Remove modSessionHandler value for session_handler_class and relogin again
I have one admin user logged in, and I'm super afraid to log out that user, if I'm not able to login again, and therefor can't access the manager again.
Honestly I don't know how to test without logging out ((

SonarQube: Can't Create Technical User

I am trying to create a technical user (one that is authenticated locally and not against our LDAP). I have added a user name to the conf/sonar.properties file and restarted SonarQube. But, when I log in (as an administrator), the new user doesn't show up in the Administration | Security | Users list. We have two previously defined technical users (including admin) which do show up.

Is there another step needed to create a technical user?
You need to manually create the user in SonarQube, it won't be automatically at startup.
Note that the SonarQube version you're using is no more supported, you should migrate to the latest LTS version 5.6.X => local users (previously known as technical users) are better managed :
- No more need to update sonar.properties
- You just have to create a user from the web server, this user will automatically be considered as a local user.
I've updated http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Authentication in order to remove the "Technical" word.

Setting Up Neo4j Database Authentication on Windows Azure

I set up a Neo4j database on Azure following this guide. The set-up process went fine. The issue I'm having is that the database is not asking for a username or password when I access it though the public port. In other words, anyone can access and edit the database by simply navigating to the URL. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to set up authentication?
First: That's a fairly old walkthrough, with the v1.8 version of Neo4j running on the preview of Virtual Machines. And that image had a pre-set username and password. Look closely at the login box:
"The server says neo4j graphdb"
Those two will be your username and password.
Note: This is not the case if you use the latest 2.0x image in VM Depot.
I was able to get this working by modifying the /conf/neo4j-server.properties file and following the instructions at the github repo.

[Couchbase-server]Adding user/Changing password?

I am a newbie getting started with couchbase-server.
I simply want to browse the data present in a couchbase server using UI at http://www.dataoncouchbase.com:8091/index.html.
The password for the account "Administrator" is unknown. But I need to login to see the data.
One technique for changing the administrator password on couchbase-server is the following command (I do have access to the machine via command line)
$$ /opt/couchbase/bin/couchbase-cli cluster-init -u Administrator -p old_password -c 127.0.0.1:8091 --cluster-init-username=Administrator --cluster-init-password=new_password
BUT...only works if you know the old password(which I don't have).
I also tried modifying the local.ini file present at : /opt/couchbase/etc/couchdb/ and restarting the server. I added a new line(username=password) under [admins] section in the file. However I am not able to log in with the new user as well.
It would be great if someone can give me a way to add a new user(with read/write permissions) or change password for Administrator OR point me to some resource to do the same.
cbreset_password - it'll reset Administrator password w/o need to know the prior.
Have you looked in "config.dat" according to this it may appear there in plain text. (granted, they are talking about web console).
It seems like you may have already seen this but I'll reference it just in case. The format they use for password stored in local.ini includes spaces -> "username = password" Also they recommend running the command 'ls -alR /opt/couchbase-server/etc' to help figure out where your problem might be. Perhaps you can post your output for that command here if the last two suggestions don't work out.
I had the same problem. Seems like there's no way to reset the password, but it is visible in the config.dat file. The other thing that caught me out is the username...it's case sensitive, so Admin != admin !!!
If you know the old password ( I know this is not your case, but I want to write the solution to help someone who knows old password), you should read:
I changed with this command ( although it has thrown error --> ERROR: option cluster-init-ramsize is not specified);

I use OSX but I guess the way will be simular.
I went into the CouchbaseServer.app in orde to view the content.
then you open the folder Content/Resources/couchbase-core/bin
and theres programm called cbreset_password :)
Then it asked you to change the admin password.....there you go.
I feel with you it took me 2 hours :)
Using couchsync with couchbase you can change all users password using the administrative REST API.

Using your command go to your Couchbase bin folder. For mac, this is
/Applications/Couchbase Server.app/Contents/Resources/couchbase-core/bin
In that folder, execute this:
./couchbase-cli reset-admin-password --new-password test123.
Your new password will be changed to test123.

You may be trying to login with username "Administrator" but you will see error sometimes. Because in some clusters "Administrator" may not be the default hard coded admin, to see the admin name see the below file (as follows):
$ ls -lrth /opt/couchbase/var/lib/couchbase/isasl.pw
$ cp /opt/couchbase/var/lib/couchbase/isasl.pw /tmp
$ cat /tmp/isasl.pw

Getting login failed for sa when I haven't changed the password

I've been developing a winforms app tied to sql server. I haven't rebooted in a while. Today i rebooted and now I can't log into sql. I used every account I know and their passwords including one that was working just before i rebooted and i get a 'Login failed' . I did take the database I use offline just before starting and I do have backups before then.
thoughts on what happened? Is there a way to bring the database back online OR somehow find out what passwords are? I even tried using windows authenication with me as an admin on the box AND sa (Yes, bad) and still no dice.

Have you checked to make sure that the service is actually running? Also are you trying to connect using IPC, TCPIP or named pipes? Whichever way make sure it's enabled in the configuration tools.
Since admin's on the box are SQL admins the only thing I can think of is that the service is not running.
