I have a website where two users (user15 and user16), user 15 creates a voucher which gets approved by user16. So in the home screen of user15 a voucher number is generated which is dynamic as shown in image below.I need to capture this voucher number generated for the one whose status is ""Processed" and then put it into the search filter of user16 homepage screen.How can i capture this dynamic voucher number ?
voucher number image
Your table template looks static. It is only the rows that are getting changes so you can write an xpath like below which would directly get you the voucher name:
//td[text()='Processed')]/preceding-sibling::td[colnumber of VoucherNubmer]
Please follow following steps mentioned below:
First select all elements from the table within the list.
Then using foreach loop compare the status of the element.
After that if(status=="Processed") then using getText() method print the value of the vochure number.

I am trying to show images for products inside a basic report. The image needs to be dynamic, meaning the image should change based on the SKU value.
Right now I am inserting an image into a table, setting to external, and i've tried:
=Fields!URL.Value
=http://externalwebservername/sku= & Fields!SKU.Value
="http://externalwebservername/sku=" & Fields!SKU.Value
I do not get any images in my table.
My stored proc has all the data, including a URL with the image I wan't to show. Here is a sample of what the URL looks like:
http://externalwebservername/sku=123456
If I enter the URL in the field without "=" it will show that ONE image only.
How should I set up the expression to properly show the external image based on a dynamic URL? Running SQL 2016
Alan's answer should work, but in our environment we have strict proxy/firewall rules, so the two servers could not contact each other.
Instead we are navigating to the file stored on our storage system.
We altered the URL column to point to file path in the stored procedure. Insert image, set Source to External and Value set to [URL].
URL= file://server\imagepath.jpg
As long as the account executing the report has permissions to access the URLs then your 3rd expression should have worked.
I put together a simple example as follows.
I created a new blank report then added a Data Source. It doesn't matter where this points, we won't use it directly.
Then I created a dataset (Dataset1) with the following SQL to give me list of image names.
SELECT '350x120' AS suffix
UNION SELECT '200x100'
UNION SELECT '500x500'
Actually, these are just parameters for the website http://placehold.it/ which will generate images based on the size you request, but that's not relevant for this exercise.
We'll be showing three images from the following URLs
http://placehold.it/350x120
http://placehold.it/200x100
http://placehold.it/500x500
Next, create a table, I used 3 columns to give me more testing options. Set the DataSetName to DataSet1 if it isn't already.
In the first column the expression is just =Fields!suffix.Value
In the second column I added an image, set it's source property to External and the Value to ="http://placehold.it/" & Fields!suffix.Value
I then added a 3rd column with the same expression as the image Value so I could see what was being used as the image URL. I also added an action that goes to the same URL, just to check the URL did not have any unprintable characters in it that might cause a problem.
The basic report design looks like this.
The rendered result looks like this.
I have this textarea where anyone can type/paste in multiple phonenumbers, with only one phone number entered per line. When this is saved, the numbers will then appear in a table listing all phone numbers for that user.
I am trying to create a test where I can count the number of phonenumbers that the user entered. I will use this number to compare the total number of phonenumbers before and after the user added them in the textarea
For example a user might type in 2 phonenumbers in the textarea:
123456789
102563987
StoreCSS and xpath count won't work in this case since the characters that a user types in won't be saved in the html.
I have tried storing the value that is typed in the textarea and splitting the lines, but I'm stuck there and not sure what to do next.
Any help will be most welcome. Thanks!
You can do this way. Say for example, stackoverflow's comment area is of textarea. Its css is:
textarea[name='comment']
I could able to do this:
String commentText = driver.findElement(By.cssSelector("textarea[name='comment']")).getText()
Then you can split the string using \n, like this:
commentText.split("\n").size()
is giving me the number of lines entered by the user.
I have a form on one page which prompts a user to enter their email address. When they click "next" I want Apex to redirect the user to a different page which shows them a report which selects the records from the users table where the email address matches the one that they entered.
E.g.
SELECT *
FROM USERS
WHERE EMAIL_ADDRESS = (the email address that they entered on the previous page);
Can someone please explain the easiest way to do this?
I have only in the last 5 seconds heard about 'Apex' Lol ... But I think I found what you need to do.
You need to define a 'Branch' which will allow you to POST to whichever page you need to.
Here's some documentation on 'Branches': http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B32472_01/doc/appdev.300/b32469/pdf_report.htm#BABICIJG
Also this snipet may help:
It's [The 'branch'] in the middle (page processing section) of the
development page at the bottom. The branch will be executed whenever a
post submission occurs but you can put conditions on the branch.
Which I found at: http://dbaforums.org/oracle/index.php?showtopic=8139
The "Next" button should not redirect but should submit. The value of the page item has to be pushed to the session state for it to be available in the (apex) session. On submit you can then define a branch which will take you to the page with your report. Your report can then reference the page item by using bind variable notation in the region source:
SELECT * FROM USERS WHERE EMAIL_ADDRESS = :Px_EMAIL_ADDRESS
So I have this piece of code below which will sucessfully pull a product and give the XML data for my magento store...
http://mywebsite.com/api/rest/products?type=rest&filter[1][attribute]=name&filter[1][in]=test%20product%20name
However, it will ONLY pull up the product info if I make the product name perfect. If I try to just put in
http://mywebsite.com/api/rest/products?type=rest&filter[1][attribute]=name&filter[1][in]=test
It will not bring ANY products. It was my understanding that if I used the "[in]" filter that it should bring up all products containing the "test" word but it doesnt...
in - "equals any of" - returns items that are equal to the item(s) with the specified attribute(s)
Try to use 'like' ...
http://mywebsite.com/api/rest/products?type=rest&filter[1][attribute]=name&filter[1][like]=%test%
I have asked this question in the Opencart forums but have yet to receive any responses, so i thought i might ask the experts here #stackoverflow :)
I am trying to see exactly how i can pass the 'quantity' of the items ordered to the success.php page so i can then pass that to another php script that will generate an array based on the quantity.
This is my goal:
Customer Buys 5 items
Customer checks out and processes CC through Paypal Pro
Paypay returns a successful transaction
Now i want the success.php page to pass a variable($quantity) to
myNewScript.php page
myNewScript.php page will generate some random strings and then i
want to attach these random strings to the confirmation email that
opencart generates and sends to the customer.
Where should i start.
You will need to do this in checkout/success controller. Get the $quantity and use redirect function to redirect to your custom page:
$this->redirect($this->url->link('checkout/myNewScript','quantity='.$quantity));
