I have an app that stores a players name and score inside the variables
"CurrentPlayer" and "CurrentPlayerScore". this works just fine. but when I switch to another view, which displays the name and their score (which works fine.), and then I switch back both my variables lose their value. any help is appreciated and i'm pretty new to swift so the clearer the better. thanks. (also I have used the prepare for segue method, which works for passing information to my next view controller but not back)
You can use a global variables. There are defined in the global scope and can be accessed from everywhere in your project.

I recently switched to Java 11 for a rather big project, and would like to switch to using var class = new Class() instead of Class class = new CLass().
I tried using Intellij Structural Search (and replace) for this, but its turning out to be more complex than expected.
My first attempt was $Type$ $Inst$ = new $Constructor$($Argument$);, which also matches global variables (which don't allow var).
My second attempt is:

Use your first template
$Type$ $Inst$ = new $Constructor$($Argument$);
But add a Script modifier on the $Inst$ variable with the following text:
Inst instanceof com.intellij.psi.PsiLocalVariable
Alternatively you may want to try the Local variable type can be omitted inspection that is available in IntelliJ IDEA.
I am using objectbox and attempting to force recomp on my lazy column with information from the viewModel.
I currently use a method that has been state hoisted to the view model but can't seem to retrieve the value in the view model and force recomp.
In my view model (DataFieldsViewModel), I've obtained all the Data Fields like this:

and the data fields object removed with

_dataFieldsBox.remove(deletedDataField.value)
}
the reference for deletedDataField is kept so that it can be restored from a snack bar.
The delete works, the restore works, it's just that the lazy column does not update until I click another view that forces recomp. I've even mocked up a simple button with state hoisted increment and decrement methods and a value in the view model to test out recomp and got that working pretty quick, just don't know how to do it for these ObjectBox DataField objects

Tried using mutableStateOf

and then attempting to collect the value with
val fields by viewModel.dataFieldsBox
and then deleting with
_deletedDataField.value = event.dataField
_dataFieldsBox.remove(event.dataField)
only fix right now is the two hacky ways which i don't like. I read something about despite the values in a mutable list changing because the reference is the same the recomp doesn't happen to save on recomps.
So tried to amend the list and then duplicate with new values which also did nothing.

_dataFieldsBox.remove(event.dataField)
val newList = _dataFieldsBox

Not worked on ObjectBox. With your current code, here is the thing.
Composable function will recompose when it is able to listen to changes. For normal variable it does not listen to changes. You can make them listen in several ways.
You can do it with mutableStateOf(). You can have mutableState variable which takes type of _dataFieldsBox . And so can access it by viewModel._dataFieldsBox.value.
private val _dataFieldsBox = ObjectBox.get().boxFor(DataField::class.java
var _dataFieldsBox = mutableStateOf(_dataFieldsBox)
And then in view model,
_dataFieldsBox.value.remove(_dataFieldsBox) // This will remove the value in the state variable and composable function will recompose.
You can also use LiveData and observe for the changes and it will recompose.
I'm trying to use a single controller to list multiple similar collections so I can call different templates with the same controller. In fact, right now I have 6 controllers for listing and another 6 for forms but they're all duplicates.
I've made a non-functional plunker just to show how I intend it to work. I've avoided declaring routeProviders because knowing it wouldn't work I tried to make it as straight to the point as I could.

I've seen on stackoverflow how to declare a class with a dynamic name:

But as I have not been able to find where it's stored I'm not able to retrieve it.
Does anyone have a hint on how to do this?
You can use Angular's injector to return the service instance you want. For example:

looking for some help with accessing variables from outside a Corona OOP class. Here's the bare-bones code:

self is coming back as nil when I try and call getHour and getMin from outside the class. What syntax should I use instead to return my theHour and theMin variables?

I tried out your code and there's nothing wrong with it. The problem is probably in the way you're accessing this module. Here's my main.lua that works with your code (I gonna guess your file is named picker.lua):

Also, The module(..., package.seeall) command has been deprecated, see this blog post for a better way to make your module. If you use this method to create your module and still call your file picker.lua, the first two lines in my main.lua would change to:

local picker_obj = picker.new()
Here's the simplest way I would modify your code to use the new way of creating modules. Only the beginning and end change, everything else stays the same:

picker.__index = picker
... -- all the functions stay the same
return picker
when using a cellbrowser and adding that widget to a flowpanel (to be placed wherever, downstream), for some reason the end result is dead (a blank screen)...vs if I add directly to the rootpanel (or layout panel)
Also had the same problem. I had to use a <g:HTMLPanel> as the parent of the CellBrowser (as seen in the GWT Showcase).
Do you have some sample code that will reproduce this?
below is the code for the composite...essentially, what I'd like to do is in another class, attached this composite to a flowpanel and do whatever with it...but, the reality is, I have to attach is directly to the RootPanel (or RootLayoutPanel)...any other abstraction causes it to bail
