Android Studio 2.3 emulator freezes / crashes - crash

I updated from studio 2.2 to 2.3 and here the emulator appears showing "Android is starting" and at various numbers of for example
"Optimizing app 22 of 45." it freezes.
Restarting is not possible as I can not terminate "qemu-system-i386.exe" (access denied).
I already uninstalled the emulator version 26 (version 25 had the same problem) with SDK manager
(even undeleted ...\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\emulator) and reinstalled it and did a lot of other things
but nothing helps. Any ideas how I can debug the problem (can I set a longer timeout anywhere if that would be the reason) ?

Since, even after re installing SDK is causing you problem. Download 2.3 Freshly again and tell if it's working.
Updates may have created problem, just to be sure do this and post your result.

VS Code Platform-IO configuration

I had been using Platform-IO up to 2019 but when I reopened a project things started getting worse and worse. Tasks disappeared and it took a while to be able to compile again. Now Platform-IO has disappeared completely and I was getting deprecation warnings in the "Toggle developer tool' console.
Now after a complete reinstall of VS, Platform-IO etc. the IDE is still not functioning and I regret ever using it. It is like you jump into your car begging it to start. For professional use (able to restart your car every day without a mechanics) this solution needed to be solid and reliable which it does not seem to be. I will have to switch to another IDE I guess. The name Microsoft should have make me hesitate ...
I am using Windows 7 Professional and NO I WILL NOT UPGRADE THE OS.
Is there any means to install a functioning VS-Code / Platform-IO on Windows 7 or is it just an idea of an IDE ?
Sorry to appear mean but "Making you more productive" sounds like a scorn.
I recently tried installing Platform IO on a Win 7 PC of a colleague and experienced similar issues like you. Seems like current Platform IO versions / builds are not compatible and therefore not runnable on Windows 7.
Only idea comes to my mind is using legacy / previous releases of VS Code and Platform IO (manual plugin installation with a legacy release) to get a runnable environment on Win 7, but I didn't test it since I ended up installing a recent Ubuntu next to Win 7. (Seemed like a better solution to me).
Here you can find all of the older releases of VS Code & Platform IO:

Good luck ;)

httpd.exe-The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Fix?

First of all, im running a Windows 64bit OS. I was having WAMPServer 2 and all of the modules were running good. I knew about WAMPServer 3 and decided to upgrade to it. As of its documentation, we should uninstall the old version , requires all updated Visual C++ Redistributable Packages and i did it as it said.
Checked WAMPServer 3 requirements and also checked with their check_vcredist tool and the result was good. I installed WAMPServer 3, all other modules were working but Apache is not opening and throwing a error message-"The Application was unable to start correctly(0xc0000005)". Apache worked properly in WAMPServer 2.
If anyone's got a solution, please respond to the topic!

Developer unlocked windows phone gets locked for no reason

I have 2 windows phone devices on my account that I use for testing. But they get locked for no reason.. I have to unlock it almost everyday. It even happened twice in one day. I haven't figured out what is causing this...
Is anyone experiencing this same issue?
**** UPDATE MESSAGE ****
This is the latest bizzare update on this bug... I've pasted my post in Microsoft Forum below:
I'm experiencing a very strange bug that I don't know if it is on the Windows Phone SDK or in Visual Studio.
I have 2 WP 8.1 devices to test an app that I'm developing. This was the sequence of events that led to this lock down:
Suddenly one phone that I used the most started to ask, almost everyday, to develop unlock the device...
Then the other phone started to do the same.
Now everytime I make a release version and run it targeting Device in Visual Studio, VS 2013 crashes... And the phone gets developer locked again.
Then I found a workaround that was to use the Application Deployment tool from the SDK only to test the release version. (Debug version it deployed without any problems on the device)
Today I forgot the manually deploy the XAP and clicked run in VS. VS crashed... Then I tried to deploy using the SDK tool it said that phone was locked... I unlocked it and clicked on the Deploy button again. Then the error: The maximum number of developer applications on this phone has been reached appeared.
I've uninstalled the app from the Windows Phone device manually and tried again and the same error occured.
I tried the other test device and had to register it again and got the same error.
Now I can't deploy any release version and I don't know how to fix this issue.
Do you know how can I fix all this Visual Studio bugs? I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem as I'm having.
No, i have three unlocked devices in my account but one wp8.1 and other two win10, if you can upgrade your wp8.1 devices to windows 10 do that using that app because windows has inbuilt feature to developer unlock device, so your device won't get locked again automatically.
if you don't want to upgrade to and need assistance go to this link
this link requires you to login with your outlook account or may require you to login with your windows developer account.
and extra information if don't have windows developer account and want to publish your app go to this link from your windows mobile device or directly search for "Dev Share" App in windows store.

PHPStorm crashes for no apparent reason

I am using PHPStorm 9 and crashes all the time.
I checked for logs but it does not report anything.
What can I do to debug it?
Edit 1
The app is fresly installed, on freshly formated PC, with fresh installed and updated java.
Also I tried to increase the allocated RAM but each time the app starts returns my values to default.
Edit 2
I am using the 64bit version which demanded an external jdk since there wasn't provided by the app.
I installed the 8.60 X64 java and add to my user and system vars on windows 10.
Edit 3
I am using Eset's nod32.
This is a notice that shows when I load the app.

No error, but program won't start on WIn 8?

I have written a program in VB.Net and run it for a few years on Vista and Win 7 without issue. It is a requirements management tool front end to an Access or SQLServer backend database.
A few months ago I installed it on Win 8. It is a 64-bit version of my program running on a 64-bit laptop. It installs fine and runs OK initially. However, after a few weeks it stops running. This has happened twice, the last time after 28 days.
When I try to run the program nothing happens - no splash screen, no error message, no entry in the Applications Log in Event Viewer - just nothing happens. The only solution has been to re-install the program and then it starts working again.
I have tried: turning off all malware, firewall and anti-virus programs; running the program as Administrator; running in various compatibility modes. Nothing happens.
I also tried removing the license file from the program directory. When I did that I did get an error message in the Application Log in Event Viewer, so the program is trying to start. But when I returned the license file it still won't start and there is no error message in the log file.
Program was written in VS 2008 under .Net framework 3.5. I don't think this is an issue, since it runs fine for about a month after install. Also, it is not the license file. The license is perpetual, and anyway if it fails the license there is a splash screen that comes up, and that is not happening.
Can anyone suggest where I might look in Win 8 to try and work out what is going on when I try to start the program?
UPDATE: Through using the Reliability Monitor I have just noticed that at 2:30pm on the afternoon of the problem Windows Installer reconfigured my application. I had the app open all afternoon. but when I shut it at around 4:40pm, then tried to open it again, the problem above emerged.
Description
Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Capability Architect. Product Version: 1.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: SDG. Reconfiguration success or error status: 0.
The reason for the reconfiguration was:
Detection of product '{221672D4-9B64-4550-8B8A-A13C4BE20780}', feature 'DefaultFeature', component '{4F120286-6AE1-5DFE-65E4-A4495CA3F296}' failed. The resource 'C:\Users\Public\Desktop\SDG\Capbility Architect Template v2.0.accdb' does not exist.
Now, that file is installed by default with the product. However, I had deleted it earlier that day because I never use it and that seems to have triggered the reconfiguration. Is that normal behaviour?? And why should a reconfiguration stop the program from running? And is it possible to see exactly what the reconfiguration actually did?
EXTRA UPDATE: If this is the problem then I can't replicate it :( I tried deleting the folder again but it has not affected program start up at all.
Thanks
Ian
