I am following this simple MVC tutorial (Visual Studio) and there is no database created in App_Data. I think it might have to do with my installing mySQL, but I uninstalled it and it still doesn't work.
This message pops up when I reopen my Visual Studio
The Web project "project" requires SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB, which is not installed on this computer. To upgrade the project datbase to use latest SQL Server Express LocalDB...
I tried googling that message and tried a lot of different things, I even reinstalled Visual Studio. I have Visual Studio 2015.
This is the error message when I try to run the page "/movies"

I am having more than 50 forms in my application and most of the times there is no error. But sometimes, there is an error like this and when I am trying to connect sql its works fine.
I need help with SQL server in visual studio. I can't seem to connect my visual studio with internal SQL server. I had created a database with visual studio earlier and it was working fine but now i'm getting an error saying:
The attempt to attach to the database failed with the following
information: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred
while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not
found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct
and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.

I have tried to create a new database file in a new project but then i get the error:
A network related or instance specific error occurred while
establishing a connection. The server was not found or was not
accessible. (Provider:Named Pipes Provider, error:40- could not open a
connection to SQL server.
I have tried different things but can't seem to get the hang of the problem. I reinstalled visual studio too but that didn't work either. what can i do to get rid of this error and get my database back online?
If you are running Visual Studio on your local machine, you have not any problem with firewalls and enabling of TCP/IP.
Try this four solutions may fix your problem:
SQL Server Express LocalDB add-on, get it from this link.
Make sure that your SQL service is running.
Use SQL Server Authentication.
Make sure you have typed .\sqlexpress in Server name in Add Connection window. You should use a backslash \ as the separator, not a forward slash.
Was able to connect to my SQL Server 2012 database using localhost with no problem storing it in the App_Data folder. My connection string was...
Data Source=(LocalDB)\v11.0;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\bookingsandpreorders.mdf;Integrated Security=True
However when I hosted my site on another/remote server I got the following error:
Server Error in '/' Application.
The system cannot find the file specified
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the file specified
I thought it may be the connection string after looking at connection strings.com so I tried...
Server=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\bookingsandpreorders.mdf;Database=bookingsandpreorders.mdf;
However now I just get another error...
Server Error in '/' Application.

I've watched and read a seemingly endless amount about this error mainly involving configuring firewall, tcp port... all of which have made no difference.
I think I've made a rookie error as I've not got much experience with SQL Server Express. any suggestions?
I hope someone can help me with this. I have differente projects (websites) in Visual Studio 2010. Today when I try to expand one of the databases in the data connections of the server explorer, I get a window with this error:

The situation occurs in ALL my projects. I suppose this happens because I installed Kaspersky 2012 yesterday. Please I need help.
May be installing Kaspersky stopped SQL Server service.
Type services.msc in run dialog box to open services panel .
Make sure SQL Server service has status as Started .
If not , right click on SQL Server and select start.
Of course this is if you are using Windows .
I think the problem is with your firewall. Here is something you can do to remove this error:
