So i'm using Okta to authenticate end users (resource owners) so they can SS0 in to any integrate it application (within okta)..but now i also want to access the API's of the backend resources using Okta(not goint straight to the API of the application). Is there a way i could achieve this?
Taking the basic scope of okta,(having a centralize place where users can SSO to any application)..can i also do this but using the application API's ?(So application A and B can share resources with the same credentials that the user used to sign in to Okta).
Note: I've used the okta API for managing the users in the okta's directory, but im actually trying to access the application(s) that sits in okta using the api(Jira, salesforce, etc)
I have been searching for Google+ API integration with Java. All I got is that there is read-only access to it using Google+ Domain API. Is there any possible way, we can integrate google plus API in Java other than using domain API?
Right now, Google Plus api are restricted to read only mode and you can access them only by domain api.
I am building my own SaaS app and see Logic Apps as a nice way to extend it with functionality like getting files from other sources like Dropbox and Onedrive and also to save data directly to SalesForce or dynamics CRM.
All the examples I have seen so far just authenticate in the Logic Apps designer for these third party services but then it is specific accounts on Dropbox or Dynamics that are used.
What I need is for the currently logged in user in my app to be able to get files from his Dropbox account or push data to his Dynamics account. How would we achieve that? We can not hardcode that stuff anywhere.
Best regards
Is it possible to create "public developer app" for Dropbox (Business Api)?
I created a Dropbox account for "MyOrganisation" and I set up a Developer App (MyOrgApp) and retrieved appId and appkey. This App is using Oath endpoints to get the access token. When I login with MyOrganisaiton admin account credentials, I get the accesstoken which I can use to do Api calls for MyOrganisation. It works fine.
My question is that will I be able to use this App (MyOrgApp) to do Api calls for another organisation "Organisation2"? Or Dropbox apps are more like Private Apps where each Organisation needs to have their own app to make api calls?
The Dropbox Business API doesn't make a distinction between "public" and "private" API apps exactly. You can use your registered Dropbox Business API app to operate on multiple different teams, but you first need to get "production" access. You can find more information about that here:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/teams#production
Referring to the document https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OAuth2ServiceAccount, was able to obtain an access-token.The above mentioned document doesn't provide any details regarding the API's that can be accessed using Service Account. Can anyone list the API's which can be accessed using access-token obtained from Google service account?
Unfortunately, we don't have an exhaustive list of the support in this area. In general, you should be able to access a Google API if that API does not require the user to do something in a web interface to configure their account before doing API access. Service Accounts can't log in. So if the service needs some interactive input from a user on a Google wesite, often their APIs will not work with Service Accounts. Hope this helps.
