SQL, Link to Element Feature - sql

I have two classes. One Attribut of class1 is connected to another attribut of class2. This was done with the help of the context menue of the connector in the proximity of one class, it is called Link to element feature. The same is done on the other side of the connector to select the other attribut of the other class. So the connector directly connects two attributes and not the classes itselves. I havenĀ“t found the tables, where this infomation is stored, so I dont find the appropiate SQL to find connected (or not connected) attributes.

Here's the way for notes using Link to..
PDATA1 = 'Attribute'
PDATA2 = t_attribute.ID of the attribute
PDATA3 = name of the attribute
PDATA4 has 'Yes' (I don't recall what that's used for so you can probably ignore it
First SQL:
SELECT PDATA2 FROM t_object WHERE Object_Type='Note' AND PDATA1 = 'Attribute'
will give you the ID. Just put that in another SQL:
SELECT * FROM t_attribute WHERE ID = (above SQL)
and you have the attribute details. Or if you want to find the unmapped one just build a dissection with the found IDs from the first with the existing attribute IDs.
For associations using Link to... it's a bit more tricky. First off, any such connectors have the relevant information stored in t_connector.StyleEx like e.g.

<dir> = S or E meaning Start (source) or End (target) <guid> = ea_guid of t_attribute or t_operation
<pos> is the edge (L or R) where the connector had been attached to in the moment when the link has been created. This is a superfluous information since the renderer will attach the link to whatever place is relevant.
There can be one LFSP, one LFEP or both be present in one StyleEx property

Now you can filter that information with a SQL or (what I prefer) with a little script, since doing complex SQL string operations are not my expertise.

What is the right way to save the process instance id(s) created?

Using Camunda as the tool for orchestration of the microservices. At later time, I find the process_instances_id generated necessary for continuing a particular process by using it in messageEventReceived(). Code as follows:

As of this moment the processid is saved and then retrieved from the database using the getProcessID(...) function when necessary. Is this proper?
Does camunda already have the list of process_ids in its own database? If so, how do I retrieve a particular process instance id just giving composite key(s)? Is that even possible?
It is the common way. You can also use the public api to get the process instance and his id via the process definition key.
See the following example from the documentation:

For your given example there is also a simpler way. It is possible to correlate the message via the runtime service.

runtimeService.createProcessInstanceQuery().list();
the query supports fluent criteria for filtering, for example on process_key, variables, businessKey ...

Is there a way to apply a filter to a treestore that includes a property that does not exist on one of the models specified?

I am trying to populate a treegrid with user stories and defects, but one of the parameters that I would like to use in the filter is a property that does not exist on the defect model.
If the filter includes that property, no results are returned. Is there a workaround or special filter definition?
The treegrid/treestore request data from the artifact wsapi endpoint. There is a hidden queryable field called TypeDefOid that you can use to limit a filter to a specific type, like so:
((TypeDefOid != <defectTypeDefOid>) OR ((TypeDefOid = <defectTypeDefOid>) AND (DefectField = "value")))
You can obtain the defectTypeDefOid from the model once the treestore is built:
var defectTypeDefOid = treeStoreModel.getArtifactComponentModel('Defect').typeDefOid;

That example is for story, but very similar. Just below that in the code is also a more complicated defect specific filter as another example.

Native Query Mapping on the fly openJPA

I am wondering if it is possible to map a named native query on the fly instead of getting back a list of Object[] and then looping through and setting up the object that way. I have a call which I know ill return a massive data set and I want to be able to map it right to my entity. Can I do that or will I have to continue looping through the result set.
Here is what I am doing now...
List<Provider> ObjList = (List<Provider>) emf.createNativeQuery(assembleQuery(organizationIDs, 5)).getResultList();
That is my entity, the List (my entity is the provider). Normally I would just return a List<Object[]>
and then I would loop through that to get back all the objects and set them up as new providers and add them to a list....

As you can see I commented that section of the code out to try this out. I know you can map named native queries if you put your native query in the entity itself and then call it via createNamedQuery. I would do it that way, but I need to use the IN oracle keyword because I have a list of ID's that I want to check against. It is not just one that is needed. And as we all know, native queruies don't handle the in keyword to well. Any advice?
Sigh, If only the IN keyword was supported well for NamedNativeQueries.
Assuming that Provider is configured as a JPA entity, you should be able to specify the class as the second parameter to your createNativeQuery call. For example:
List<Provider> ObjList = (List<Provider>) emf.createNativeQuery(assembleQuery(organizationIDs, 5), Provider.class).getResultList();
According to the documentation, "At a minimum, your SQL must select the class' primary key columns, discriminator column (if mapped), and version column (also if mapped)."

Entity Framework 4.1 Dynamically retrieve mapped column name

I am trying to construct an SQL statement dynamically.
My context is created dynamically, using reflection finding classes deriving from EntityTypeConfiguration and adding them to DbModelBuilder.Configuration.
My EntityTypeConfiguration classes specify HasColumnName to map the Entity property name to db table column name, which I need to construct my SQL statement.

From What I have researched, it seems I can get access to this information through MetadataWorkspace, which I can get to through ObjectContext.
I have managed to retrieve the the entity I am interested in with MetadataWorkspace.GetItem("MyDomain.TestEntity",DataSpace.OSpace), which gives me access to Properties, but none of the properties, of Properties, give me the name of the mapped db column, as specified with HasColumnName.
Also I am not clear what DataSpace.OSpace is and why my model is constructed in this space.
If Anyone can shed some light on this I would be grateful

Further to #Ladislav's comments. I discovered I can get the information as follows
For the class properties

So given that I only know the type MyDomain.TestEntity and Memeber "Name". How would I go about to get "dbName". Can I always assume that my mapped class will be created in CodeFirstDatabaseSchema, om order to dynamically construct the identity to retrieve it from SSpace and how would I get to the correct Member in SSpace. Can I do something like

MetadataWorkspace contanis several containers specified by DataSpace. Interesting for you are:
CSpace - description of conceptual model (this should contain properties)
CSSpace - mapping of conceptual model to storage model (this should contain how classes / properties are mapped to tables / columns)

EF: How to do effective lazy-loading (not 1+N selects)?

Starting with a List of entities and needing all dependent entities through an association, is there a way to use the corresponding navigation-propertiy to load all child-entities with one db-round-trip? Ie. generate a single WHERE fkId IN (...) statement via navigation property?

I've found these ways to load the children:
Keep the set of parent-entities as IQueriable<T>
Not good since the db will have to find the main set every time and join to get the requested data.
Put the parent-objects into an array or list, then get related data through navigation properties.
var children = parentArray.Select(p => p.Children).Distinct()
This is slow since it will generate a select for every main-entity.
Creates duplicate objects since each set of children is created independetly.
Put the foreign keys from the main entities into an array then filter the entire dependent-ObjectSet
var foreignKeyIds = parentArray.Select(p => p.Id).ToArray();
var children = Children.Where(d => foreignKeyIds.Contains(d.Id))
Linq then generates the desired "WHERE foreignKeyId IN (...)"-clause.
This is fast but only possible for 1:*-relations since linking-tables are mapped away.
Removes the readablity advantage of EF by using Ids after all
The navigation-properties of type EntityCollection<T> are not populated
Eager loading though the .Include()-methods, included for completeness (asking for lazy-loading)
Alledgedly joins everything included together and returns one giant flat result.
Have to decide up front which data to use
It there some way to get the simplicity of 2 with the performance of 3?
You could attach the parent object to your context and get the children when needed.

Edit: for attaching multiple, just iterate.
I think finding a good answer is not possible or at least not worth the trouble. Instead a micro ORM like Dapper give the big benefit of removing the need to map between sql-columns and object-properties and does it without the need to create a model first. Also one simply writes the desired sql instead of understanding what linq to write to have it generated. IQueryable<T> will be missed though.
