how can I extract recurly account management url into my e-commerce website? - api

I am using recurly (recurly.com) to run a subscription business, we need to extract the customer account management url and put it into our website so the customers can manage subscriptions by themselves. Can anyone give me some advice about how to use recurly API to realize this ?

When you create an account, the hosted login token (which is used to build this URL on your side), is returned in the success response. It looks like this:
<hosted_login_token>71c122cb16fc90252ff845eacf5d7814</hosted_login_token>
At any time, you can also do a GET request on the account details to obtain the login. It is recommended, however, that you store this value locally as soon as the account is created, so you are not constantly polling the API.
See https://dev.recurly.com/docs/create-an-account for more details.

Is It Possible To Use An External Database For User Data & Login Credentials With Shopify?

Our client has asked us to build a Shopify site that ties into their in-house customer db (with or without using Salesforce). Is this even possible? Does Shopify support any method of cross-site database querying?
The only thing I can think of to accomplish this is to write a webhook on their in-house server with a simple read-only mini DB query API. However, as that I'm not super familiar with Shopify's more obscure capabilities (and having already spent quite some time sifting through their docs and running google searches on the matter with absolutely zero results), I'm not even sure if this is possible.
Are we barking up an impossible tree, or is this something that can actually be accomplished?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
What I have understood from your description is you already have an external database with user login details and you want to use the same for authentication in Shopify. If yes, then it is possible with Shopify Multipass feature. This feature is only available for Shopify Plus plans. From the Shopify Multipass docs
Multipass login is for store owners who have a separate website and a
Shopify store. It redirects users from the website to the Shopify
store and seamlessly logs them in with the same email address they
used to sign up for the original website. If no account with that
email address exists yet, one is created. There is no need to
synchronize any customer databases.
For your particular scenario, you would have to validate user credentials with your external database, generate multipass url and redirect.
Yes your requirement is quite possible. But the method i am going to mention is a hack basically. Below are the steps:
Create Login page/Account creation page in Shopify
When the user does a login/create account you send the information to your server via below methods
JSONP request
Creating a iframe of your domain and passing the information in the iframe
Now, you validate the user credentials at your server
After validating you check if the user is present in Shopify. If not you create the user with a password. API Link
Make sure you save the user password you push into Shopify at your end also.
Now when you have completed authentication of the user, return back Shopify username and password
Create a hidden form in Shopify liquid file and pass the credentials in the respective fields and submit the form and user should be able to log in with the existing password they have!

Another account access my Analytics API

I want to build a dashboard to my clients access your respective website analytics. But, after some research, I'm stuck.
Let's imagine the scenario:
My Analytics Account:
Client X - websitex.com
Client Y - websitey.com
In my dashboard, when the cliente Y log in, the data (pageviews) of websitey.com is shown on graphics.
But, there's a way to do that? By the moment, the only thing i got is retrieve information for my logged account (my analytics ID), not the information about another account.
There's a way to use the Google API, or, I'll have a "separate database" to save data each website?
Sorry, I'm really lost at the moment.
You can only view Google Analytics Accounts that you are authorized to view. For some reason this is a source of major confusion (seeing that your are not the first to ask), although it should be fairly self-evident.
If you want to see data from your clients account you have to ask your client to add your Google email to the GA account. If an email address is added to multiple accounts you can, via the API, choose between the accounts. Clientside authorization (OAuth2) will only work as long as somebody is logged in via a client application (usually a browser). The practial effect is that everybody who is authenticated via OAuth against Google will see only his own GA accounts, not other peoples data.
If you want a serverside application to pull data from various GA accounts you need a service account. But even the service account needs to be added to the GA accounts.
You can use the core reporting API, but the API will not give you access to accounts that you are not authorized to look at; your client needs to authorize you (or your applications service account).

How can I recognize when user has added account in Yodlee Fast Link?

How can I recognize when user has added account in Yodlee Fast Link (for example an investment account) by going to the link.
What I want:
I am creating a link to "Fast Link";
User are following by this link;
He is adding a their account;
And in this point I wanna know that he has added something (for example by callback url). How?
Thanks!
Yes, this can be done. You can have a page hosted that can count the hits and use that page as callback URL in extra params for FastLink.
You can get more information on this at
https://developer.yodlee.com/Fastlink_2.0/FastLink_Integration_Guide_for_Web
The extra parameters that needs to be passed for achieving this is as below
callback=http://google.co.in where here google.co.in is your callback page

Vijay
Yodlee have introduced a new event subscription service using webhooks. It is part of their YSL (Yodlee Service Language) product.
It can trigger events for following –
the MFA information is requested by the provider site to log in for
aggregating data
the Yodlee system has performed the login on the provider site
successfully
the Yodlee system has retrieved the account summary information from
the provider site successfully
the final status of account addition or update account APIs
Details -
https://developer.yodlee.com/apidocs/index.php#!/cobrand/eventSubscription
Please NOTE that Webhook event notifications will work only when you try to add the account using YSL APIs (manually). It doesn't work with FastLink. I have been informed by Yodlee Support. They also informed me that till date they don't have any client using webhook service, which was bit scary to know.

Paypal rest api express checkout with no shipping field (WebProfile handling)

I'm using Paypal rest api to make payment
the workflow is:
Create payment
Redirect to approval Url
User approved (return back to my site)
Execute payment
But there's one thing that I don't want users re-filling shipping address again because it was filled in my website.
So I change the workflow to:
Create web profile (set no shipping field)
Get web profile ID
Create payment with experienceProfileId given
Redirect to approval Url
User approved (return back to my site)
Execute payment
But I found this will create a lots WebProfile every time user request payment.
I think it is crazy to do:
create and delete it later again and again
attempt listing WebProfiles and check which is the one I want to use every time while creating payment
store experienceProfileId as a constant
What is the best practice for handling WebProfile or does there any solution just hiding shipping address while user approving payments?
Maybe this is not the answer regarding this "WebProfile". As a fact, I dont know what exactly "WebProfile" does or is.
I worked on the same Workflow these days. As you wrote I needed to predefine some address. For me it was obvious, that I have to do the database-stuff on my Website. Then I exactly define the order, shipping_address, etc. and send the users to Paypal.
If you predefine the new ShippingAddress() to your ´new ItemList()´ by
$itemlist->setShippingAddress($shippingaddress) the user cannot change it within the Process.

Maybe this helps you a little.

Ebay API: Get All Transactions By Seller

I am trying to use the Ebay API to get completed transactions for a seller(s) that is using a different account from my developer account. I've looked into GetSellerTransactions and GetOrders. Unfortunately, I am not sure if it's possible to specify a User ID different from mine. Could you point me to working example of how to do this?
To get transactions for a user you should be first authorized by that user.
You will need a developer account for that.
This links will guide you
http://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/XML/docs/WebHelp/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=eBay_XML_API&file=GettingTokens-Getting_Tokens_for_Applications_with_Multiple_Users.html
http://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/XML/docs/WebHelp/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=eBay_XML_API&file=DevAndTestApplications-Testing_Applications.html
Once you get the user token for a user you need to send them along with your developer credentials to make the getOrders API call for that particular user.
