How to install Apache Directory Studio in Eclipse Neon - ldap

I cannot find how to install Apache Directory Studio under Eclipse Neon. It looks like this project requires an update. Do you have more information about this?
Regards
Ignacio

Well,
I installed Neon alongside Luna, then, as usual I did a File -> Import -> From existing installation. That installation failed for almost all packages. Then I tried to find Apache under the Eclipse Installer window and could not see anything. Finally I decided to add a new site and use the URL http://directory.apache.org/studio/update and that worked fine.

Adding .jar Files in Visual Studio Code

First and foremost, I really appreciate your help. I am trying to build an application by using an external library Apachi Poi. I know I need to add jar files to the project; however, I don't know how I should do that plus I have been searching on the Internet for a solution, but I could not find one even I checked this. My OS is Linux and I am running 1.33.1 version of VSCode.
[UPDATE]: I have fixed my problem. What I basically did was to install maven command to my
Linux machine and now I am using mvn command along with pom.xml to add my .jar files to
the project.

Can't install practically macro on eclipse

I can't install practically macro on eclipse.`
Error:
Communication with repository at
http://puremvcnotificationviewer.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/PracticallyMacroGoogleUpdateSite
failed.
Read Timeout
Tried to install from here https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/practically-macro-0 dragging and dropping
And tried to install it from eclipse marketplace, both said the same thing.
I have eclipse luna 4.4.1.
I want to be able to do key shortcut for run cofiguration. Apperently i need this plug-in but can't install it.
Go to https://sourceforge.net/projects/practicalmacro/?source=typ_redirect and download PracticallyMacro_x.x.x.jar.
Then create a directory "PracticallyMarco" inside the eclipse/plugins directory.
Extract all files from PracticallyMacro_x.x.x.jar into eclipse/plugins/PracticallyMarco.
Restart eclipse. (Maybe you should restart eclipse with the -clean option.)
Then you can use the PracticallyMacro from the main toolbar:
See also the file eclipse/plugins/PracticallyMarco/Instructions.txt for more details.
There is a GitHub fork that seems to work:
https://github.com/EmteZogaf/practicalmacro-site/
If you browse the repo you can find the following update site:
https://github.com/EmteZogaf/practicalmacro-site/raw/master
I tested it on latest eclipse PHOTON and it seems to work.

How do I resolve a plugin conflict in Eclipse?

I'd like to upgrade my Helios installation of Eclipse to Indigo. When I do, I get the following message:
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed: Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 1.4.2.20120213-0813 (epp.package.jee 1.4.2.20120213-0813)
Software currently installed: Oracle GlassFish Server Tools 1.6.1.201009290929 (oracle.eclipse.tools.helios.glassfish.feature.group 1.6.1.201009290929)
So my first thought was to simply uninstall GlassFish. For the life of me, I can't figure out how and where to go to do this. I went to Help->About Eclipse...->Installation Details. The only place that it looks like I can uninstall stuff is in the "Installed Software" tab. I do not see the Oracle Glassfish package anywhere. If I go to "Feature" or "Plug-ins", I can find it just fine, but there is no option to uninstall.
So my next thought was to upgrade Glassfish. So I put the indigo repo in there, but I still get the same message when trying to update. Any ideas?
There is no mechanism within Eclipse to permanently and physically uninstall a feature and its plug-ins. The process to physically and permanently remove an undesirable feature and its plug-ins is a manual process that should be done when Eclipse is not running. In order to do, you will have to manually remove the files there associated with the feature from the eclipse/features directory and its plug-ins from the eclipse/plugins directory.

How do I install a plugin from a local .zip or .jar file in Aptana Studio 3?

I have a locally packaged plugin that isn't available from any update server (I built and exported it from source code, using Eclipse.) The plugin installs and works in the Eclipse environment.
Now I'd like to use it in my standalone Aptana Studio 3 installation. Is there a documented method of installing a .ZIP or .JAR file containing a working Eclipse plugin into Aptana Studio 3?
If this is well-documented elsewhere, a URL is all I need! :D
Edit: I realize there may be many reasons why the plugin doesn't work in Aptana; the issue here is that I can't find a simple way to install the plugin from within Aptana. I've tried "Add Repository -> Local" and "Add Repository -> Archive" but neither method recognizes the packaged plugin. I've also tried dropping the jar file into the Aptana 3 'plugins' dir and restarting -- no love. But there are no error messages or log entries to help understand why I can't install the plugin.
Might be a dependency issue. In some cases, a plugin may depend on another plugin that is missing from the product (e.g. Aptana Studio, in this case).
What I suggest is to install Aptana Studio as a plugin into a classic Eclipse 3.7 installation. Then, install your plugin just like you tried before.
Hope that helps.

eclipse scala plugin, scala project type missing

After installing the scala eclipse plugin on helios the scala project type is missing, there is no scala options in the preferences and no other indication that installation has worked. Then when I check 'what is already installed' in the install new software window I can see that the plugin is there....
I can replicate the same problem across several machines in the office however I'm able to install on my own machine at home without a problem....
anyone got any ideas/tips on how to troubleshoot this ??
thanks in advance
Looks like not everything was installed properly.
Before figuring out what is going on, try answering these questions:
In preferences, look for JDT Weaving. Is it enabled?
Any errors in your error log?
What version Eclipse are you running?
For your office machines is Eclipse installed in a read-only directory or C:\Program Files?
