Get Nike API Access Key - api

I am trying to make requests to the Nike+ API to get information but I do not know where to get a long-term access token from.
I know that I am making the actual request correctly (using AJAX) because I send the same request that Nike+ send when using their test console (I take it from the Chrome network tab when the test console sends). This request works for about an hour before saying the token has expired.
How do I get a long-term token? I have looked around the API and can't find it which makes me think I am missing something pretty obvious here.

I need to have a client id to start making the implicit flow requests. I took one from the network tab of the chrome browser (from when I logged in) and used it as a parameter(as well as other things) for the first api call but it said it couldn't load partner details.
Any ideas? Am i even allowed to do what I want to do?

Nike+ API uses OAuth 2 for authentication. In his API there is no long-term token, but you can use refresh_token (30 days) to get new access_token (bound with expired_in) when your authentication expires and get unauthorized response. You can read more at Nike+ API documentation.

What is a __cf_bm cookie?

First off, I apologize if I use any incorrect terminology. I'm familiar with calling internal apis, but this a side project and new territory for me.
I've been using chrome debugger and powershell to write some scripts against the api of a public site. I was able to retrieve the JWT token, however after a few minutes my calls will start to fail with a 403 error. To get around this I've been exporting all the request headers from chrome and storing those locally for my script to pass whenever my call to the api fails. I narrowed it down to 4 headers that must be present, the one that is most suspect seems to be "cookie".
I then removed all key value pairs in the cookie header until I found the one that makes it fail. It's named "__cf_bm". A quick google says it's some kind of cloudflare bot management data. I don't see any of the data present in the __cf_bm cookie being sent in a response during authentication, I only see it in request headers. Is it not possible to construct this value? Does this essentially prevent me from interacting with the site's api?

JMeter: Record n play, also gives API access

I have recorded a login flow of an application and found some URIs like below:

When I am hitting above in sequence via JMeter I am getting 200 response. Just like JMeter I tried recording in Postman and it worked same, but instead of JSON it gave response in XML format.
It doesn't generate a access_token, it works via session cookies.
My question is - Do I really have API access or it is just browser record n play? If Yes, Does this mean I can get access to any API, if I am a registered user of that application? For ex: Facebook, YouTube or any startup website.
JMeter works on the protocol level. This means that whatever request you are generating. Say a simple browser request or an API call, you can do that easily.
Now the thing is replicating requests. You don't need to record the requests necessarily using the browser. You need to analyze the few things that are required. Say Postman is generating a request. You specify the things you want to send and you use the API Token there. The same things can be specified there as well. It all depends on how you are understanding the concept of request generation.
You simply need to replicate the samplers and the parameters. And the request headers in postman can be replicated here in the same way.
For each HTTP Request Sampler make sure you add a corresponding child HTTP Header Manager config element.
Headers basically tell the server that what client we are using and in what form data is being sent and then server responds accordingly with the information.
What you're recorded is OAuth2 flow and you won't be able to replay it without correlating the dynamic values.
You can have access to Google API or Facebook Graph API given you have proper access_token but I don't think you should be testing them directly, you should focus on solely your application.

Exact online REST API: POST call not working

I am trying to make a post call in Exact Online REST API. I'm trying to create a SalesInvoiceLine. I can perfectly do a GET call via my browser. I am logged in in Exact Online so I don't need authentication since this should be passed via a cookie. I tried POST via a browser. The browser prompts me to login, when I do nothing happens. I've also tried this in Postman:
I am 100% certain these initials are correct, I can login with them in Exact Online. What am I doing wrong?
If this is not the way, how can I post data to Exact Online? There are not that many concrete examples to find online.
You can't log on to the Exact Online REST API with Basic authentication, the mode you are using now.
The web service uses OAuth as authentication mechanism, meaning you have to acquire a token first. The steps to do so are outlined in the official documentation.
It will need some work on your end to register an app, get the flow up and running. Depending on your business needs, you might be helped with one of the apps for Exact Online by the company I work for.
You need to retrieve the CurrentDivision through GET Request https://{Base Uri}/api/v1/current/Me only from OAuth then you need to assign
CurrentDivision to whatever may be the API call .../api/v1/{CurrentDivision}/../....
Without authorization by Auth 2.0, neither is impossible.
To authorize the ExactOnline API calls you have to do the following:
Register the app in the developer portal. Bear in mind that you have to do a separate registration for French, UK or Dutch version of ExactOnline (this is indeed a pain).
In case you want your application to be used by other accounts than yours, you have to submit the app for validation, this usually takes 2-3 weeks.
EO uses standard OAuth 2.0 schema (very similar to what Google is using with their services). You have to use endpoint GET /api/oauth2/auth for building an authorization link and endpoint POST /api/oauth2/token for obtaining both access and refresh tokens.
Please bear in mind that many Auth 2.0 services are proving long-lasting refresh token. This is not the case of EO. The refresh token is invalidated every time when the access token is requested (endpoint POST /api/oauth2/token). With access token new refresh token is supplied, so make sure you update you refresh token as well.
The access token is placed in HTTP header as "Authorization: Bearer {{ACCESS_TOKEN}}"

How to keep a user signed in on an Electron app using Auth0?

There seem to be no complete explanations of how to do this, or even enough fragments for me to piece together what I have to do. After about 16 hours of studying, I am at wit's end.
It seems like I can't use SSO, and I also can't use PKCE because there is no working example anywhere on the web. There is a github repo with an example implementation, but it does not function and after 2 hours playing with it I cannot determine what I need to do to move forward this way.

You can add offline_access to your scope (e.g. "scope": "offline_access openid something:else",) and this will yield you a refresh_token.
Auth0 currently supports unlimited refresh_token usage, so when your access_token expires (you either can track expiration time manually using "expires_in": 86400 value in respones or react on 401 response from api) - you can send your refresh token to OAuth2 api endpoint and receive new access token back. They have few descent articles about this matter and what you need to configure for your clients and API as well as what not to do (depending on your client security assumptions).
Take a note - you must secure refresh_token properly - store it in some reliable store and prevent any external scripts from accessing it. I assume with electron app you can do it more reliable than with a public website.

How to get user data from Google API with OAuth remotely from a server?

I've been reading lots of documentation about Google API access and OAuth flow using it but I don't seem to get it working in my mind, so I want to get some help first in order to have a clear idea about how it works then I can code it using the corresponding API.
What I want to achieve is feed a Java application running in a PC with specific Google user data, like localization through Google Latitude API. In order to get this, OAuth must be used, so I need getting the user consent, then access the user data from the application running in my computer, and I don't know how to manage this.
I've already registered my application with the Google APIs Console and enabled the Google Latitude module. I've also tried the Latitude console application here and it works properly (a browser tab opened asking for a Google user; I entered it and I got the location data), but I'm having problems when trying to adapt the program flow to my needs.
In my application, the 'remote' user is supposed to send a request (a custom JSON message) to the server asking for service enable/disable, like allowing the server to track his/her position through Latitude. Then, AFAIK, the server should send to the user a URL so the user can give the consent, but I don't know how to get this URL and how the server realizes about this consent and gets the token (automatically? Google tracks this authorization process?). Once my server gets the specific user token, then I should be ready to get service data for that user using the received token.
As I said before, I've tried according to different references, but as the documentation seems to be really scattered and much of it is already deprecated, I've been unable to get it working.
Judging from your description, the installed app OAuth2 flow seems to be the right one for you.
At some point, presumably when a user is installing your desktop app, you should fire up a browser - either embedded one in your app or the default browser - and sent them to this Google OAuth2 endpoint. In your request, fill out all the parameters as required by the doc: Latitude API scope, client_id, etc. Google, as an authorization server, will take care of user authentication, session selection, and user consent. If the user grants access to her data to your API, you will receive an authorization code either in the title of the browser window or at a localhost port.
Once you have the code, you can exchange it for an access token and a refresh token. The access token is what you need to call the API and access the user's data. It is short lived though - check the expired_in parameter in the response, I believe it is 3600 sec. - so you will need to periodically ping the token endpoint with your long lived refresh token and exchange it for an access token.
