What is the procedure to update virtualenv installation of tensorflow? - tensorflow

I am currently using the virtualenv intallation of tensorflow version r0.7. I would like to upgrade to r0.9 in virtualenv. What ia the procedure to do it?

The following should work :
# Once inside your virtualenv
(venv) $ pip uninstall -qy tensorflow
(venv) $ pip install -U https://storage.googleapis.com/tensorflow/linux/cpu/tensorflow-0.9.0-cp27-none-linux_x86_64.whl
That is, assuming you want the cpu version and using Python 2.7. Look here for other versions of the pip packages.

Can't install Rasa on Ubuntu 18.04 + Python 3.7.5?

I have succeed to install Rasa NLU on my Win 10 with python 3.7 but couldn't do this on Ubuntu 18.04.
Please help.
Here is the error I get:
pip3 install rasa-x --extra-index-url https://pypi.rasa.com/simple
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement
tensorflow~=1.15.0 (from rasa~=1.5.1->rasa-x) (from versions:
1.13.0rc1, 1.13.0rc2, 1.13.1, 1.13.2, 1.14.0rc0, 1.14.0rc1, 1.14.0, 2.0.0a0, 2.0.0b0, 2.0.0b1) No matching distribution found for tensorflow~=1.15.0 (from rasa~=1.5.1->rasa-x)
Please advise what is the difference to my Win10 machine?
Please advise how can I install it.
I had followed these following steps and it's working fine for me for ubuntu 18.04 + Python3
Firstly create directory name of your choice and get inside of it
mkdir rasaprojects #directory name of your choice in place of rasaprojects
cd rasaprojects #get inside that directory
Now create virtual environment of python3
virtualenv rasaenv -p python3 #write your environment name instead of rasaenv
Now activate the environment
source rasaenv/bin/activate
Now you are good to go with rasa installation
pip3 install rasa
Updating your pip version should solve the issue. I believe TensorFlow and your current pip version don't go well together.
Do this:
Download pip installer python script from here.
Run it using python get-pip.py
Another thing is that TensorFlow was not supported by python3.7 untill recently. So if the first solution doesn't work you can try downgrading python to python3.6
Upgrade pip before instaling rasa.
pip3 install --upgrade pip

Tensorflow installation error (could not find the version that satisfies the requirement tensorflow)

When I run :
pip install --upgrade tensorflow
This message pops up:

This is probably happening because you are using a pip version below 8.3.
In that case, you can install tensorflow using
For CPU version - pip install --upgrade https://storage.googleapis.com/tensorflow/linux/cpu/tensorflow-1.7.0-cp27-none-linux_x86_64.whl
For GPU version - pip install --upgrade https://storage.googleapis.com/tensorflow/linux/gpu/tensorflow_gpu-1.7.0-cp27-none-linux_x86_64.whl
These binaries are for version 1.7 and Python 2.7. You can get the latest wheel URLs from the official installation guide.
This worked for me
conda install pip
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
pip install --ignore-installed --upgrade tensorflow
This is what worked for me on Windows 10. Currently, Tensorflow only works with 64-bit windows, not 32-bit. So, you could create a new 64-bit environment and install tensorflow in it:
set CONDA_FORCE_32BIT=
conda create --name name_of_your_created_environment python=3.5
activate name_of_your_created_environment
conda install -c conda-forge tensorflow
Note:
CONDA_FORCE_32BIT=1 sets to a 32-bit environment whilst CONDA_FORCE_32BIT= sets to a 64-bit environment.

I am not able to update tensorflow installed with anaconda

I have been trying to update tensorflow from 1.2.1 to 1.3.
I did the following on my terminal:
pip3 install tensorflow --upgrade
After this, I tried checking the version
python3 -c 'import tensorflow as tf; print(tf.__version__)'
This outputs 1.2.1 but not 1.3.0
All this had been done in an anaconda environment.
Operating system: macOS Sierra
I would like to know how one can perform this update.

The solution that I found was to install pip inside the conda environment and use that instance of pip to install the packages. Please refer here
The reason I got the above error was that the python3 and pip3 paths were different.
This became evident when I ran the below commands inside the conda environment.
which python3
/Users/SMBP/anaconda/envs/tensorflow/bin/python3
which pip3
/usr/local/bin/pip3
Also, I think it is better to use virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper if you wish to work with tensorflow as it is the recommended way.

Unable to install Tensorflow cpu version in Ubuntu16.04 using anaconda

I am facing a problem while installing Tensorflow in Ubuntu 16.04. I was trying to install Tensorfilow CPU supportable version using Anaconda. This is the error I got
'tensorflow-1.3.0-cp34-cp34m-linux_x86_64.whl is not a supported wheel
on this platform.'
Can any one help me to solve this problem.
Try following steps:
First (if you haven't already) install Pip
For Python 2.X
sudo apt-get install python-pip python-dev python-virtualenv
For Python 3.X
sudo apt-get install python3-pip python3-dev python-virtualenv
Switch to your Conda environment:
source activate your_environment_name
And install TensorFlow using Pip:
For Python 2.X
pip install tensorflow
For Python 3.X
pip3 install tensorflow

pip3 is trying to access /usr/bin/ for which you need superuser rights. Try
sudo pip3 install --upgrade ...
It appears that TensorFlow depends on a newer version of the setuptools package than you have installed. As Maximilian points out, pip needs root access to upgrade setuptools and install TensorFlow and Keras in your machine's Python distribution. You can either use sudo as he suggests, or it may be safer to install TensorFlow into a Virtualenv. For example, to create a Virtualenv in the directory ~/tensorflow, execute the following commands:
$ sudo pip install virtualenv
