Content in Table cell of iOS 8 is not display - objective-c

Everything works well in iOS 9.
But in iOS 8, the content is not displayed, only imageview is showed.
What i did is that I create a view and add label and UIImage to that view. Then that view is added to contentView of table Cell
create View
- (UIView *)getHeaderView:(UITableView *)tableView viewForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
UIView *view = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, tableView.frame.size.width, HEADER_SECTION_HEIGHT)];
[view setBackgroundColor:[[RNThemeManager sharedManager] colorWithHexString:[_themeComponent valueForKey:#"Layer1Color"]]];
UILabel *taskName = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5.0, SECTION_BREAK+3.0, view.frame.size.width-23.0, 20)];
[taskName setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:[[_themeComponent valueForKey:#"RegularFontSize"] intValue]]];
[taskName setText:combinedTask.taskDescription];
[taskName setTextColor: [[RNThemeManager sharedManager] colorWithHexString:[_themeComponent valueForKey:#"textPrimary"]]];
[view addSubview:taskName];
UIImageView *addressView = [[UIImageView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5.0, SECTION_BREAK+28.0, 20, 20)];
addressView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#.png", #"Attr_Pin"]];
[view addSubview:addressView];
UILabel *address = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(35.0, SECTION_BREAK+23.0, view.frame.size.width-35.0, 30)];
[address setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:[[_themeComponent valueForKey:#"SmallFontSize"] intValue]]];
address.lineBreakMode = NSLineBreakByWordWrapping;
address.numberOfLines = 0;
[address setText:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#", unit]];
[address setTextColor: [[RNThemeManager sharedManager] colorWithHexString:[_themeComponent valueForKey:#"textPrimary"]]];
[view addSubview:address];
return view;
}
Add view to table cell
UIView *header= [self getHeaderView:tableView viewForHeaderInSection:section];
cell.taskIdLabel.hidden = YES;
[cell.contentView addSubview:header];
Anyone has any ideas? Thanks much for your help.

This is because iOS 9 Apple handle good autolayout than before.
Let add [cell layoutIfNeeded] before return cell.
Update
I have same problem before. Here is block of code that i use to solved my problem.
- (void) sizeHeaderToFit {
//call in viewLayoutSubView
UIView *myHeaderView = self.tableView.tableHeaderView;
[myHeaderView setNeedsLayout];
[myHeaderView layoutIfNeeded];
CGFloat height = [myHeaderView systemLayoutSizeFittingSize:UILayoutFittingCompressedSize].height;
myHeaderView.frame = ({
CGRect headerFrame = myHeaderView.frame;
headerFrame.size.height = height;
headerFrame;
});
self.tableView.tableHeaderView = myHeaderView;
}
call it at viewDidLayoutSubView. Hope it helps bạn :))

How to set delegate to UICollectionView in NSObject controller

How to add CollectionView in NSObject controller?
I have one NSObject controller which i am accessing on each ViewController. I already added some component on it like image view. Now I want to add CollectionView on it. I have written code as follows:
in AboutMe.h file
#interface AboutMe : NSObject<UICollectionViewDelegate,UICollectionViewDataSource,UICollectionViewDelegateFlowLayout>
-(UIButton *) showAboutMeView:(UIViewController *)id;
#end
and in AboutMe.m file
#import "AboutMe.h"
#implementation AboutMe {
UIView *objMessageView;
UICollectionView *_collectionView
NSMutableArray *arrstrProfileImage;
NSMutableArray *arrstrUsersNameEn;
NSMutableArray *arrstrUsersNameMr;
}
-(UIButton *) showAboutMeView:(UIViewController *)id {
CGRect screenRect = [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds];
CGFloat screenX = screenRect.origin.x;
CGFloat screenY = screenRect.origin.y;
CGFloat screenWidth = screenRect.size.width;
CGFloat screenHeight = screenRect.size.height;
arrstrProfileImage = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:#"male.png",#"female.png",nil];
arrstrUsersNameEn = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:#"Mr. (Corporator)",#"Mrs.(Corporator)", nil];
objMessageView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(screenX, screenY, screenWidth,screenHeight-64)];
objMessageView.backgroundColor = [[UIColor blackColor] colorWithAlphaComponent:.8f];
[id.view addSubview:objMessageView];
UIImageView *objUIImageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 10, screenWidth, 150)];
objUIImageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"abc.png"];
objUIImageView.contentMode = UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit;
[objMessageView addSubview:objUIImageView];

}
#end
I am accessing this in ViewController as:
AboutMe *objAboutMe = [[AboutMe alloc] init];
UIButton *objBtn = [objAboutMe showAboutMeView:self];
[objBtn addTarget:self action:#selector(click:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
A blank white view get loaded.
Here Problem is I am not able to set Delegate to CollectionView.
Please Help me in this.
You're CollectionView delegate won't work unless you change inheritation of your AboutMe class.
So you need to update this line and inherit from UIViewController:
#interface AboutMe : UICollectionViewController <UICollectionViewDelegate,UICollectionViewDataSource,UICollectionViewDelegateFlowLayout>
Also I would make an additional suggestion. When working with method like this:
-(UIButton *) showAboutMeView:(UIViewController *)id {
Try to mantain only that code, that is related to creation and returning UIButton, so for example instantiation and operations with objMessageView could be placed in another method, etc.

How to set UIImageView image added in viewForHeaderInSection and set in another Method

How to set UIImageView image added in viewForHeaderInSection and set in another Method.

- (void)mTableView:(TQMultistageTableView *)mTableView willOpenHeaderAtSection:(NSInteger)section

// UITableViewHeaderFooterView *header = [self mTableView:mTableView viewForHeaderInSection:section];
UIView *headerView = [self mTableView:mTableView viewForHeaderInSection:section];
[[[headerView subviews] objectAtIndex:1] subviews];
NSLog(#"HeaderView :%#",headerView);
for (UIImageView *imageView in [[[headerView subviews] objectAtIndex:1] subviews]) {
if ([ imageView isKindOfClass:[UIImageView class]])
{
imageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"up-arrow.png"];
}
}
}
In your code your header is not a UIImageView so your condition if ([header isKindOfClass:[UIImageView class]]) will never be true. Indeed, you add your UIImageView as a subview of a UIView.
What you can do instead is :
if ([[header subviews][0] isKindOfClass:[UIImageView class]])
{
UIImageView *imageViewChange =(UIImageView *) imageView;
imageViewChange.image = [UIImage imageName#"downArrow.png"];
}
Edit :
According to your edit, I think your best bet is to make your UIImageView a property as follows :
#interface YourViewController () {
UIImageView *imageViewChange;
}
and use it like that :
imageViewChange.image = [UIImage imageName#"downArrow.png"];

ScrollsToTop is not working when UIVeiwController is presented from ios8 extension

ScrollsToTop is not working when UIVeiwController is presented from ios8 extension.
But it is working if we presented it from inside the app. Can anyone help? sample code is shared here.
UIScrollView * scrollview = [[UIScrollView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 300) ];
[scrollview setContentSize:CGSizeMake(320, 800)];
scrollview.layer.borderWidth = 1.0;
scrollview.backgroundColor =[UIColor redColor];
UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"slide1"]];
[scrollview addSubview:imageView];
scrollview.showsVerticalScrollIndicator =YES;
scrollview.scrollsToTop = YES;
scrollview.delegate = self;
UIViewController *a = [[UIViewController alloc] init];
a.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor greenColor];
[a.view addSubview:scrollview];
[self presentViewController:a animated:YES completion:^{
}];
I had same issues & resolved using code bellow.
Some change has done in xcode6. Try this code to make scrollview to top.
[self.ScrollView setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0.0, 0.0) animated:YES];

Horizontal UIScrollView in a UITableViewCell

I'm trying to create a simple scrollView inside a tableview cell. Just like on app store, but with simpler scrolling.
The scrollview is showing up but its not scrolling at all. I've tried whole first page on google and many stackoverflow questions, can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong.
if (indexPath.row==0) {
// Clearing out cell background
[cell setBackgroundColor:[UIColor clearColor]];
[cell.contentView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor clearColor]];
// Imageviews for scrollview
UIImageView *imageview1 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,320,123)];
UIImageView *imageview2 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(320,0,320,123)];
imageview1.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"flash2.png"];
imageview2.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"IMG_2458.JPG"];
// setting up scrollview
self.scrollViewHeader = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,320, 123)];
self.scrollViewHeader.scrollEnabled = YES;
self.scrollViewHeader.delegate = self;
[self.scrollViewHeader setUserInteractionEnabled:YES];
[self.scrollViewHeader setContentSize:CGSizeMake(320, 123)];
[self.scrollViewHeader addSubview:imageview1];
[self.scrollViewHeader addSubview:imageview2];
[cell.contentView addSubview:self.scrollViewHeader];
}
else{
// Normal table cells.
...
}
Thanks in advance for your answers.
In order for a scroll view to scroll, its content size must be greater than its bounds.
You have:
self.scrollViewHeader = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,320, 123)];
and then
[self.scrollViewHeader setContentSize:CGSizeMake(320, 123)];
In this case, they are both the same size, therefore it won't scroll. Do:
self.scrollViewHeader = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,160, 123)];
[self.scrollViewHeader setContentSize:CGSizeMake(320, 123)];

How does autoresizing mask work?

I've found a lot of information on autoresizing but none has been able to solve my problem. I have a ViewController (RAViewController) who calls a view in its loadView method like so:
- (void)loadView
{
// Set Navigation Bar Title
self.navigationItem.title = #"RA";
// Add Background view
self.view = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]];
// Add RAView
RAView *rAView = [[RAView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.frame Controller:self];
[self.view rAView];
}
The view it calls (RAView) looks like this:
- (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame Controller:(RAViewController *)Controller
{
self = [super initWithFrame:frame];
if (self) {
// Initialization code
self.autoresizesSubviews = YES;
self.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight;
self.backgroundColor = [[UIColor alloc] initWithRed:1.0 green:1.0 blue:1.0 alpha:1.0];
controller = Controller;
// Draw Architecture View
[self drawArchitectureView];
}
return self;
}
-(void)drawArchitectureView {
UIButton *button = [[UIButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 10, self.frame.size.width - 20, 50);
[button setBackgroundColor:[UIColor grayColor]];
[button setTitle:#"Overview" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[self addSubview:button];
}
For some reason I can't get autoresizing mask to resize the button width when the device is landscape. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you want it to keep the same height, but just stay fully centered, 10.0 from the left and right, try:
-(void)drawArchitectureView {
UIButton *button = [[UIButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 10, self.frame.size.width - 20, 50);
button.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleRightMargin;
[button setBackgroundColor:[UIColor grayColor]];
[button setTitle:#"Overview" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[self addSubview:button];
}
