New to logstash and following the tutorial posted https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/advanced-pipeline.html
Trying to set up my first-pipeline.conf where in i need to specify the input , filter and the output configurations
When i specify these configurations , and try
logsstash -f first-pipeline.conf -configtest i get a RuntimeError
RuntimeError : translation missing : en.logstash.runner.configuration.file-not-found>, class=> RuntimeError : backtrace => ["C:/ELK/logstash/vendor/bundle/jruby/1.9/gems/logstash-core-2.3.2-java/lob/logstash/config/loader/rb:58 in 'local_config" and bunch of other stack trace
Here below is the snip of stack trace
looks like im missing some files in my logstash installation direcotory..
BTW here is what my first-pipeline.conf file looks like
Also , i commented out the filter portion of my first-pipeline.conf as was not sure if grok was causing this issue and still the same error is reproducible
The error "io/console not supported; tty will not be manipulated" seems a jruby bug:
https://github.com/jruby/jruby/issues/3550
And It seems to be fixed on version 1.7.24. In Logstash 2.3.2 jruby version is 1.7.23 that the bug opened for. So you can try to download jruby 1.7.25 and replace it with the one under vendor/jruby.
For the other error, you are running Logstast from bin folder. Is your configuration (first-pipeline.conf) file actually in that folder? If not specify it from where it is.

I done all steps to install orocommerce on azure CentOS and nginx.
So now i got the following error after
$ ./bin/console oro:install --env=prod --timeout=900
"In ParameterBag.php line 102:
You have requested a non-existent parameter "web_backend_prefix".
Have anybody an idea?
How exactly did you get the source code (if GitHub - what repository, tag/branch, if download - what website and version)? Based on the error text it seems like it might be OroPlatform or OroCRM application, not OroCommerce.
I'm trying out casperJS to run some automated tests. On windows. I followed this installation guide but am stuck.
when I try to run a simple test from the command line like this:
casperjs.bat smoketest.js
I get the following error:
Error: Cannot find module 'C:/code/base/main/Shared/casperjs\modules\cli.js'
I checked, and the file cli.js does exist under the specified path.
I thought the problem could be the mixture of forward and backward slashes in the path, but I edited the bootstrap.js casper code to hard code the path and it made no difference - it still the cannot find module.
I'm have tried this using phantomJS version 1.9.0, and 1.8.2.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Has anyone had success running casper on Windows?
This is due to a bug in PhantomJS 1.9.0 that does not allow for absolute path loading in Windows. Afaik, this should only be apparent if you are using a master build of CasperJS (v1.1).
This bug has been fixed, but is not yet in the Windows binary. You can compile it yourself if you'd like, but that can take quite a bit of time.
I was using the master build of casper. With the latest released version, 1.0.2, it works fine.
I am using CI and facing a problem while uploading file.
It gives a message mentioned below.
==================================================
Severity: Warning
Message: escapeshellarg() has been disabled for security reasons
Filename: libraries/Upload.php
Line Number: 1066
In some answers, I found that it is a server issue and CI has nothing to do with it. Now, is there any way to upload file bypassing the escapeshellarg() or is there any libraries I can use that doesn't require escapeshellarg()?
Please help.
I'm not sure which specific version of CI you're using, but the latest version does a check for that function before using it.
Take a look at the code here:
$cmd = function_exists('escapeshellarg')
? 'file --brief --mime '.escapeshellarg($file['tmp_name']).' 2>&1'
: 'file --brief --mime '.$file['tmp_name'].' 2>&1';
I'd say either upgrade or update the code manually.
Every time when I try to start my mapreduce application (in standalone Hadoop), it tries to put stuff in the tmp directory, which it can't:
Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Failed to set permissions of path: \tmp\hadoop-username\mapred\staging\username-1524148556\.staging to 0700
It ties to use an invalid path (slashes should be the other way around for cygwin).
I set hadoop.tmp.dir in core-site.xml (in the conf folder of Hadoop), but it seems that the config file is never read (if I put syntax errors in the file, it makes no difference). I added:
--config /home/username/hadoop-1.0.1/conf
To the command, but no difference. I also tried:
export HADOOP_CONF_DIR=/home/username/hadoop-1.0.1/conf
but also that does not seem to have an effect....
Any pointers on why the configs would not be read, or what else I am failing to see here?
Thanks!
It's not that the slashes are inverted, it's that /tmp is a cygwin path which actually maps to /cygwin/tmp or c:\cygwin\tmp. since hadoop is java and doesn't know about cygwin mappings, it takes /tmp to mean c:\tmp.
there's an awful lot of stuff to patch if you want to get 1.0.1 running on cygwin.
see: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/User:Fkorning/Code/Hadoop-on-Cygwin
I found the following link useful, it seems that the problem stands with newer version of Hadoop. I'm using version 1.0.4 and I'm still facing this problem.

UPDATED: in Mahout 0.7 and for the ones who use the "Mahoot in Action" book example, you shoud change the example code as follows:
File outFile = new File("output");
if (!outFile.exists()) {
outFile.mkdir();
}
Path output = new Path("output");
HadoopUtil.delete(conf, output);
KMeansDriver.run(conf, new Path("testdata/points"), new Path("testdata/clusters"),
output, new EuclideanDistanceMeasure(), 0.001, 10,
true, 0.1, true);
Whenever I run any jython program in Eclipse, I got the following error in the beginning of the output:
" Failed to
get environment, environ will be
empty: (0, 'Failed to execute command
([\'sh\', \'-c\', \'env\']):
java.io.IOException: Cannot run
program "sh": Crea teProcess error=2,
The system cannot find the file
specified')
First, my environment is:
Windows 2008
JDK 1.6.0u10
jython 2.2.1
I did some digging, and I realized that this message is produced in the function javaos.getenv().
Whenever I call the javaos.getenv() function, it throws the following error:
C:\jython2.2.1>java -jar jython.jar
import javaos
print javaos.getenv("user.name")
Failed to get environment, environ
will be empty: (0, 'Failed to execute
command ([\'sh\', \'-c\', \'env\']):
java.io.IOException: Cannot run
program "sh": Crea teProcess error=2,
The system cannot find the file
specified')
This is strange, because I'm currently using a Windows machine, not an Unix.
Try to uncomment and change the os setting in the 'registry' file
(it is in the same directory as your jython.jar / i hope)
# python.os determines operating-specific features, similar to and overriding the
# Java property "os.name".
# Some generic values are also supported: 'nt', 'ce' and 'posix'.
# Uncomment the following line for the most generic OS behavior available.
#python.os=None
python.os=nt
# try nt or dos
Interesting. Well, I seem to have found the relevant code here:
http://www.koders.com/python/fid4B7C33153C1427D2CE19CE361EA9519D1652F802.aspx?s=self
If you look towards the bottom, it seems when setting the environment command jython thinks your os is posix. You say you're using "Windows 2008". I'm not sure what that is. Do you mean Windows Server 2008? If so, it's quite new and if you look at the _getOsType function in the same module, it looks like it might be too new for that module. You may need to upgrade to the most recent version of jython or Eclipse. But it's quite possible they haven't yet released a version that supports this OS. If that's the case, you may need to just report the bug to them.
I'm running on Windows 7.
I'm running Jython as a script in the Websphere wsadmin tool.
I encountered this same error.
I cut-n-pasted these lines from javaos.py into my script:
os or sys.registry.getProperty( "python.os" ) or \ java.lang.System.getProperty( "os.name" )
and it returned "Windows Vista".
So I performed the same surgery as suggested above, ie., add Windows Vista to javaos.py and that solved my problem.
I ran into the same error, using Windows Vista, and Jython 2.5.1, under Eclipse/PyDev By editing javaos.py, to include "Windows Vista" in the OR statement in getOsType,;
I fixed the error. (I've filed a bug with the fix under the PyDev Tracker at SourceForge.)
Details:
I installed the full version of Jython, and that did not help.
I also tried editing the "registry" file in the Jython tree. That did not help either.
Then I looked at the files in:
C:\eclipse-platform-3.5-win32\eclipse\plugins\org.python.pydev.jython_1.4.8.2881\Lib
to find "javaos.py" and added a bit of code to read:
def _getOsType( os=None ):
os = os or sys.registry.getProperty( "python.os" ) or \
java.lang.System.getProperty( "os.name" )
_osTypeMap = (
( "nt", r"(nt)|(Windows NT)|(Windows NT 4.0)|(WindowsNT)|"
r"(Windows 2000)|(Windows XP)|(Windows CE)|(Windows Vista)" ),
( "dos", r"(dos)|(Windows 95)|(Windows 98)|(Windows ME)" ),
( "mac", r"(mac)|(MacOS.*)|(Darwin)" ),
( "None", r"(None)" ),
( "posix", r"(.*)" ), # default - posix seems to vary mast widely
)
for osType, pattern in _osTypeMap:
if re.match( pattern, os ):
break
return osType
I've used this hack from Dave Brands blog: http://dbrand666.wordpress.com/2010/04/08/fix1/
try:
import javaos
if javaos._osType == 'posix' and \
java.lang.System.getProperty('os.name').startswith('Windows'):
sys.registry.setProperty('python.os', 'nt')
reload(javaos)
except:
pass
