I am trying to install and setup MobileFirst. SO i was able to install WAS ND, create a server, Install Mobilefirst Server, Install database, Create database and now i am trying to create a runtime with the configuration tool.
Below is the Database screenshot which proves that the database exist
This is a screenshot of the creating admin configuration and also it show that the port number is ok
This is a screen shot of the database additional extra setting which is checking for the database WLADM70 which i have given, validation happened without problem but its always in the checking for the database state.

I am trying to installing RCU for Oracle Repository Creation utility however everytime I try to install the development repository it runs on error.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
I run rcu bat file
Create repository/system load and product load
3.Choose oracle as database type/hostname localhost, port 1521 servicename xe, username sys and the password (I am able to login into oracle database with this login information) (I am using oracle 18c express
I am using the prefix dev
I am adding password for schemas, supervisor, and for the repository user.
I am not touching the tablespaces
I start the install and several error messages are dropping. like
Ora-65096 invalid common user or role name
Ora-01917 DEV_STB user does not exists
Ora-00955 The name has already been in use by another object.
My question what could be the problem with the installation of RCU and How can I resolve the issue ?
Funny thing is I am trying to install odi and RCU based on step by step video still something went wrong...
The issue here is you are logging to CDB with the service name XE. You need to log into the PDB (Plugable database).
Just change the service name from XE to XEPDB1 while connecting to the DB through RCU and your issue should be resolved.
I am installing pentaho 8.1 CE on ubuntu 16.04
have made change of bd from HSQLDB to Mysql, tables have been created, jackrabbit, hibernate and hibernate.
When starting the server, not login, I imagine that the users are missing or not created. ??
the error that throws me in
catalina.out

Database Jackrabbit no created tables..
any idea?
When changing the back-end database, there's a few things you need to make sure you check.
repository.xml
quartz.properties
hibernate-settings.xml
[your-database].hibernate.cfg.xml
context.xml (in WEB-INF)
You'll need to confirm the settings for the connection to the new database has been properly configured in all of these different config files. Some additional details on how to config these files for MySQL specifically can be found in the documentation here: https://help.pentaho.com/Documentation/8.1/Setup/Installation/Archive/MySQL_Repository
Past that, make sure that you delete the "repository" directory inside of /pentaho-solutions/system/jackrabbit as this is an index of the repository. If you change your database back-end, then this index needs to be rebuilt. The index is rebuilt automatically if the server sees that "repository" directory doesn't exist at startup.
I've found the same issue on Windows Server 2016 and MySQL8.0, with Pentaho 8.0.2.
Starting Pentaho server from the start-pentaho.bat command, everything was fine.
The problem arise when I was using Tomcat.
The solution was to be sure that Tomcat service was running with the LOCAL SYSTEM account.
If the Tomcat service runs with lower privileges, maybe it can't access to the pentaho-solutions directory and it cannot load the required java beans.
if everything as per the document is configured correctly, then You might be missing the connection change in applicationContext-spring-security-hibernate.properties, please check that.
I am trying to create a default instance of SSMS to run through a few quick tutorials on my local machine. However, everything I am reading is telling me that this default instance should have been created during the wizard. Welp, I have now installed and uninstalled SSMS 2016 three times and am yet to be prompted by anything other than a simple request to install and a notification that the request is complete.
I have read online that I should use the SQL Server Management 2016 Application to create this instance, but every time I try to open that application I get this wonderful error "Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable".
I have tried running the command referenced in this article to fix the error:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/956013
But had no luck.
I've also tried to attempt to connect to what might be the default value for the instance:
-localhost
-myip
-(local)
etc..
But when I ran osql -L earlier, it showed no SQL databases on my machine and since my most recent install this command isn't even working.
You dont create instances with SSMS. SQL Server Management Studio is to query and manage existing instances.
You use the Installation media to create an instance.
Look for the Configuration manager to see what instances you have installed.
The default instance is always called MSSQLSERVER.
According to the article you linked to, you probably jacked the installation between the 32 and 64 bit versions of SQL Server.
I suggest to use the setup program and reinstall it.
I am trying to deploy my SSIS package and stepping into the error create master key in DB or open the master key in the session
I have changed the password sensitivity to be 'Dont save sensitive' for the project and package
Right Click on Projects(Integration Services Catalog ) and run through the wizard, this errors comes in the last step.
Ok I figured out how to solve this.
Drop the master key and create a new one if there are no other packages in your SSISDB. If there are other packages you should find a way out.
Save the master key in a back up location on the server and copy the password for later use.
The next is create service accounts with permissions to mitigate the keys across domain controllers.
Use the service account and change the logon for the SSIS,SQL Server Engine and Sql server Agent in the Windows services GUI.
Restart all the services mentioned above.
This will resolve the issue.
I am trying to create a Worklight application that uses SQL adapters to retrieve data. In development it all works well but when I deploy it onto the server it can't connect to the server as it has an incorrect server URL.
I then have to go to the iOS settings and update the Custom Server URL field and set the flag to use this and then it all works.
I can see that this set in the Settings.bundle -> Root.plist file. However if I change this value it gets overwritten each time I rebuild. Where can I set these values so that the WL studio will set this value correctly each time it builds?
From reading your question, this has got nothing to do with adapters.
You really need to describe how exactly you've built the application, in steps.
Right now it sounds to me like you may be doing the following:
Build for Remote Server
Run As >> Build All and Deploy / Run As >> Xcode project
These actions currently overwrite each other.
If you are using Build for Remote Server, then do not use Build All / Xcode project afterwards; this will overwrite the connection details again with the local ones instead of the remote ones.
