VBA - How to read spreadsheet attached to PDF - vba

I have a series of .pdf's which have Excel files attached to them. I want to extract cells "A2:C" & lastline from this spreadsheet.
How do I command VBA to read the attached .xlsx and ignore the .pdf file it is attached to?
Did a lot of searching and no hits so far...
thanks

Transfer word comments to excel

I needed help transferring word comments to excel in a coherent manner. I've printed the comments to PDF using the print "list of markups" function in word.
I basically needed a macro to convert this PDF to this result.....
Now this is just an example as other documents I have may have more than 1 comment. I needed a macro to convert multiple comments in a PDF.
Thanks

VBA: Copy whole word document to excel

I´m trying to simply copy whole word document into excel and keep the source formatting (and images).
Assuming both documents are open.
I tried this code:
Sheets("Nabídka").Range("A" & 87) = Documents("K4E pila.docx").Range.Text
but it only copies the text without formatting and images. Is there a similar command which includes the formatting?
Even If I copy/paste from word to excel (ctrl+c) the formatting is ruined --> The image overlaps the text.
This is the first step I need to figure out to proceed in my project. The outcome should be: Copy all word documents into excel if the name of the word document matches some excel cells values.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Change Path to Picture Links in Excel

I have manually pasted a large number of linked pictures into a 2010 Excel spreadsheet using insert picture -> select picture location --> link to file. These pictures are part of a report. I update the pictures using R each quarter, and my report automatically updates. Perfect.
I now need to change the directory where the plots are kept, and need to update the links. As there are around 200 of them (its a big report), I want to do this in VBA. Whilst I can loop through the pictures ok (ActiveSheet.Pictures), I can't seem to find the links/address. Any idea how I can see the underlying file location so I might change it - the reference has to be stored somewhere (note - these don't seem to be stored as hyperlinks).

Create a new folder
Paste a copy of the .xlsx or .xlsm excel file
Uncompress the file with a zip tool (i'm using 7-Zip)
Delete the .xlsx or .xlsm file (optional)
Now we have all the component parts of the original file as plain text xml files and folders
Inside the folder xl\drawings\ _rels there are files named as drawing2.xml.rels, drawing3.xml.rels, ...
It seems that each file corresponds to a sheet and stores the paths to images in this format:
Target="file:///C:\Users\myusername\Documents\MyImageFolder\My%20Image%20Name.png"
Change the paths with a text editor
Compress all the contents of the folder to a .zip
Change the extension to the original .xlsx or .xlsm
These steps could be automated with VBA, AutoIt, etc., here some references:

Excel uses the Formula Bar as the link in this case, just the same as it would link between ranges in two different worksheets. When I select a linked picture, the formula below populates in the formula bar:
=[TrialWB.xlsm]Sheet1!$C$3:$E$6
You can access the Shape's formula using the code below and inserting your picture's specific name:
ActiveSheet.Pictures("Picture Name").Formula = "=[TrialWB.xlsm]Sheet1!$C$4:$E$6"
In updating the links, you'll have to change the file path in the formula. This might look like:
ActiveSheet.Pictures("Picture Name").Formula = "='C:\Reports2015\[TrialWB.xlsm]Sheet1'!$C$4:$E$6"
changing to
ActiveSheet.Pictures("Picture Name").Formula = "='C:\Reports2016\[TrialWB.xlsm]Sheet1'!$C$4:$E$6"

Opening .txt file in Excel and keep all cells as Text Format

I am trying to open a .txt file in excel and keep all the cells as "Text" format. This is because there are values such as "Sept03" and it will convert it to "Sept-03" and when you force "Text" format after it has opened it converts it into number form ruining the data.
There is a lot of files and I need it to be automatic. Anyone have a solution or work-around for this? Can I force excel to open files and have all cells be a particular format before it fully opens?
Thanks!

Pasting an Excel chart into a Word document so it is editable but not linked

I'm using VBA to create a series of charts in Excel and then copying them into a Word file.
Up till now I've been pasting the charts as pictures, so in Excel I used
ActiveChart.CopyPicture
and then in Word, after selecting the target location:Selection.Paste.
Now I want to change it so the charts will be editable but not linked to the source Excel file.
I copy a chart from Excel using ActiveChart.ChartArea.Copyand look at the paste-special options in Word, the options "use destination theme/keep source formatting & embed workbook" work fine for me:
the chart is editable (also the data is editable which I don't need but is OK) and there is no link to the original Excel file.
BUT - I can't find how to perform this through VBA code. Trying to record this in a macro only give me Selection.Paste - which pastes a linked chart.
I also tried a different approach - pasting a linked chart, and then killing the link. once again, deleting the links in the link editor doesn't get recorded in the macro at all.
Please help with coding any of these two options or suggesting a different approach.
The Range.PasteAndFormat method should work. This takes a WdRecoveryType Enum parameter that lets you specify what kind of result you want.
Selection.PasteAndFormat(wdChart) 'Enum value 14 in case of late binding
