I need to find temperature from certain points in an cylinder through thermocouple. From DAQAssistant I can read temperature for every 1sec and make a wavegraph at a particular point.
Is it possible
to save realtime temperature values(T) in Database for every 1sec. ( eg: in table) ??
to take obtained realtime temperature values from that database or table and use it in an function ( eg: x= YZT) and save the calculated value(X) in
another database and make a graph. (eg: T vs X).

I have a disk image. I'm able to see partition start and end values with gparted or another tools. However, I want to calculate them manually. I inserted an image , which showing my disk image partition start and end values. Also, I inserted $MFT file with link. As you see in the picture, my starter point for partition table 2 is : 7968240. How can I determine this number with real calculation ? I tried to dived this value with sector size which is 512. However, results are not fit. I'll appriciate for a formula for it. The information about how a hard disk has been partitioned is stored in its first sector (that is, the first sector of the first track on the first disk surface). The first sector is the master boot record (MBR) of the disk; this is the sector that the BIOS reads in and starts when the machine is first booted.
For the current partition system (gpt) you can get more information here. The MFT is only a part on the NTFS in question, which is calculated via GPT or MBR.
I am trying to build an automatic feature for a database that takes NOAA weather data and imports it into our own database tables.
Currently we have 3 steps:
1. Import the data literally into its own table to preserve the original data
2. Copy it's data into a table that better represents our own data in structure
3. Then convert that table into our own data
The problem I am having stems from the data that NOAA gives us. It comes in the following format:
Station Station_Name Elevation Latitude Longitude Date MXPN Measurement_Flag Quality_Flag Source_Flag Time_Of_Observation ...
Starting with MXPN (Maximum temperature for water in a pan) which for example is comprised of it's column and the 4 other columns after it, it repeats that same 5 columns for each form of weather observation. The problem though is that if a particular type of weather was not observed in any of the stations reported, that set of 5 columns will be completely omitted.
For example if you look at Central Florida stations, you will find no SNOW (Snowfall measured in mm). However, if you look at stations in New Jersey, you will find this column as they report snowfall. This means a 1:1 mapping of columns is not possible between different reports, and the order of columns may not be guaranteed.
Even worse, some of the weather types include wild cards in their definition, e.g. SN*# where * is a number from 0-8 representing the type of ground, and # is a number 1-7 representing the depth at which soil temperature was taken for the minimum soil temperature, and we'd like to collect these together.
All of these are column headers, and my instinct is to build a small Java program to map these properly to our data set as we'd like it. However, my superior believes it may be possible to have the database do this on a mass import, but he does not know how to do it.
Is there a way to do this as a mass import, or is it best for me to just write the Java program to convert the data to our format?
Systems in use:
MariaDB for the database.
Centos7 for the operating system (if it really becomes an issue)
Java is being done with JPA and Spring Boot, with hibernate where necessary.
You are creating a new table per each file.
I presume that the first 6 fields are always present, and that you have 0 or more occurrences of the next 5 fields. if you are using SQL Server i would approach it as follows,
Query the information_schema catalog to get a count of the fields in
the table. If the count= 6 then no observations are present, if 11
columns ,then you have 1 observation, if 17 then you have 2
observations, etc.
Now that you know the number of observations you can write some SQL
that will loop the over the observations and insert them into a
child table with a link back to a parent table which has the 1st 6
fields.

I'm currently working on a shiny app, but I've got some problems with a slider input. I've got 500.000 variables called 'duration' which all correspond a specific 'price'. However, the range of the duration is between 1-around 50000, so min - max isn't working properly. Therefore I want to address the duration based on my own data duration data set(skipping duration numbers which don't exist) and match the corresponding price with that duration. As there are many durations with different prices, a histogram seems to be most logical.
So my question, how do I customize these sliders with my own data?
I want to store GPS coordinates from any device into a DB on a SQL SERVER, and check it in real time on a web, that will ask constantly for positions.
I saw others questions and answers (on StackOverflow and Google), and everybody want to add new rows (with the coordinates) on a table, where there were already stored previous coordinates.
In my case, I don't want to store previous coordinates, I just want to know where are they NOW, so I think it has no point to add new rows.
Therefore, the numbers of rows will remain constant.
Since I had two tables: DEVICES(idDevice, device) and COORDINATES(device, long, lat), everytime a device send a new position (let's say every 1 second), it value will UPDATE the row existing with its previous value.
My question: Is that the best way (the "continuously auto-replacement" technique) I can do that? or is there a more optimal way to update positions?
And, like a 2nd question: that's the best way to build the tables for what I want to do?
If you are definitely storing only one set of coordinates then I would suggest you remove COORDINATES and use DEVICES(idDevice, device, long, lat). You must already be handling making sure that a DEVICES row exists so now you can simply UPDATE DEVICES SET long = xxx, lat = yyy WHERE idDevice = deviceId.
I'm have a MS SQL database for storing raw data on utility usage (electric, water, and gas), which I have implemented to compile data from four disparate automated collection systems. The ultimate goal is to generate invoices from this data.
Different customers have one of a dozen different rate structures, which all may-or-may-not use a non-linear function to calculate cost per usage based on peak demand and total usage.
It is not unheard of for a particular customer to change from one rate structure to another, or for the rate calculation for a particular rate class to change from year to year, so I would like to put these formulas into new tables within my database where they can be easily referenced and modified.
Ideally, I would want to run one of these dynamic functions as part of a query without relying on the front-end having to do them, but I have no idea how that would work.
By request, an example formula of the type I am talking about:
All current customer with Electricity Rate Structure A pay $0.005/kW-hr for the first 2,000 kW-hr consumed, $0.004/kW-hr for 2,000-15,000 kW-hr, and $0.003/kW-hr for all consumption above 15,000kW-hr. Additionally, any customer who has higher than 50kW demand will be subject to a $0.002/kW-hr surcharge on all consumption. The values for these coefficients, thresholds, the number of thresholds, and whether or not the customer even gets charged for peak demand can and do change from year to year and from rate structure to rate structure.
The formula for this (if I was programming it) would be:
