Error encountered with migration to cpanel - cpanel

I was running my webserver on Plesk platform before moving to CPanel due to my perceived perception of Plesk's over-sensibility to threats to security.
After the migration, my site runs quite alright but a sister site that has my IP in its A records couldn't connect through me anymore. It only brings a default website CGI page. Please, I need help.

Have you created your second site on your cPanel server ? If yes, then there is an issues with the IP, Please check your domain IP and httpd configuration file on cPanel server and try update that IP in your DNS zone which are you using on cPanel server. Most of the time this type of issues occur due to wrong IP.

All i did was to create a wildcard subdomain which was attached to the subdomain already created on the other server i was trying to point to. That did the magic. Sorry my response seems belated.

I bought a domain, I configured Apache server on Windows but shows my IP instead of the URL

The title is quite descriptive, I bought a domain using Google Domains. I mount an Apache Server 2.4 in Windows 7. The problem is when i access the web url it shows the ip instead of the URL. I asked Google for this problem and they referred me to Apache configuration. But i don't find nothing in the Apache configuration to show the URL instead of the IP. Anyone can help?
I already solved. The problem was in Google Domain configuration in the DNS configuration. Ask Google they are really kind if you have the same issue.

Domain name and Dynamic IP Addresse

I have recently acquired a domain name from GoDaddy. At home i am trying to setup a nextcloud server. Since my ISP serves me a dynamic IP addresse i had to create another domain name on no-ip website. Furthermore, i want to forward http requests to https. The following questions rises:
Do i create the ssl certificate (with let’s encrypt) for the godaddy domain or the no-ip domain?
What is the correct forwarding sequence here? Assume godaddy is foo.com and no-ip bar.dyndns.me and the user types foo.com, my server apache settings would forward foo.com:80 to :443 but this i guess should be corrected to my dyndns. I am confused.
I would appreciate any help - thank you.
you are making it too complicated. Instead of using a redirect you should request a static ip from you isp. this costs money varying by your provider but then you only need one domain. you then apply the ssl certificate to that domain and enforce ssl only with your hosting server (i.e apache, iis).
You can write a simple app/script to manage the Dynamic DNS from your server using the GoDaddy Api, thats what i have been doing for ~3 years now as my ISP want a stupid amount for a static IP. I have mine pinging out every 10 mins to check if my IP changed (ISP sucked for a while and mine would change several times a day)
Here are some links to various implementations of the GoDaddy API
BASH
Python
Powershell
So I think I have a fix for this, before I give you my answer I will outline problems with other solutions.
Static IP from your ISP. The problem with this is it may cost too much. (However if it’s cheap I’d probably do this solution)
Script and update godaddy DNS. This is okay however only if you can allow for some outage time between changes. (The DNS will take time to Propagate up to 24 hours)
Upgrade your noip account to a plus managed DNS it costs $29.95 a year. However it will allow you to bring your own domain name from another provider like go daddy. Depending how often your noip client is running there could be a very small outage between changes.

Protect home (webserver's) dynamic ip from reverse DNS issue

this is my first question here =)
I'm setting my webserver at home (trying both apache and nginx) and I've found that you can easily get and use free dynamic dns (sub) domain to make your server available not only with your home ip that would be changed next time after disconnect and connect to the internet. Actually I've made it working and it's great..
But the problem is that my personal unique data (account id/machine name) could be retrieved with reverse dns look up and I can not hide my real ip that is attached to server.
You can use proxy while browsing the internet, but how to proxy your web server (apache) that have free dyn dns (sub) domain?
I've already tried to create VirtualHost configurations, also with the use of proxy modules (mod_proxy, mod_proxy_http, mod_proxy_html) and additionally with proxifier tool, but no luck.
Some people say that it is possible to hide ip with nginx, but I never used to work with nginx. Still believe it is also possible with Apache, just can't figure it out.
I'm using private proxy in format [proxyip:port]. I must attach it everytime to my home ip to make it work. Maybe it's better to get login/password auth proxy, but at first I should find the way how to use it with web server.
Is there anyone who have luck with it? Can you explain, please, the proper config for apache? Currently I'm using version 2.4.
Many thanks and have a good day!

Redirecting web traffic in a server hosting both an Apache and a Glassfish web

I am hosting two web pages in my server. One is running on Apache and the another one on Glassfish. By now I solve the redirection problem making the Glassfish server to listen on a port distinct than the 80. The problem is that I think my web users have a firewall blocking those ports so they can´t access the GlassFish web. Which way would you recommend me to take in order to make a URL request-based redirection? I want to make the glassfish web a subdomain of the Apache one, being both running at the same IP.
If I have not been sufficiently clear with my question, please let me know
Thank you for your time.
Have you tried modifying the domain or using subdomains? If one application is eg. at http://subdomain1.yourdomain.net and another at http://subdomain2.yourdomain.net it should do the trick without any problems. Or try http://yourdomain.net for your main program and http://yourdomain.net/somecontext for sub program. That looks meaningful also for the service user.

404 SysVol entries in webserver's logfiles

Our 404 error logs show a lot of /SysVol http requests on our Windows Web Server 2008 for our website. It only has a webserver role and I believe that SysVol requests are meant for Domain Controllers? What's causing this and what would be the best solution to deal with these 404 requests?
I'm using code that access employee records via Active Directory (ldap) and the server is not trusted for delegaton in case this is related to the problem.
Are these requests coming from external IPs ? They are probably trying to p0wn you
The sysvol share generally gets created and shared out when a server is promoted to a domain controller. I'm assuming that your web server is not a DC and not in an Active Directory domain?
As for how to deal with it, if you're behind a firewall, you could block everything except ports 80 and 443 for instance. I hope that your webserver is behind a firewall. Seeing traffic like that isn't all that unusual considering it's on the internet.
