Universal App XAML designer not showing - xaml

All I am doing is creating a new blank app: New Project - Windows - Universal - Blank App. Then open MainPage.xaml, and all I see is raw XAML, no Design tab. View Designer (shft-F7) does not help.
This is on Win 10, developer mode on.
It does not seem likely that something is wrong with the VS installation, because I when I open MSDN UWP samples, XAML files in those samples open just fine. I tried reinstalling VC++ 2015 redistributable, as suggested in one of the posts here, did not help.
XAML designer is enabled (Tools - Options - XAML Designer).

The problem turned out to be the fact that my project target version (right click on Project - Properties - Application) was Windows 10 Insider Preview (Build 10563). Changing it to Windows 10 (Build 10240) fixes the issue.

No XAML Hot Reload for WinUI projects in either VS2019 or VS2022

I've tried with both Visual Studio 2019 (16.11.5) and Visual Studio 2022 (17.0.0 P5), but am unable to get XAML Hot Reload working for WinUI projects (both UWP and Desktop types).
WPF project's are unaffected and XAML Hot Reload continues to work.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
I'm running Windows 10 20H2 and have the extension Windows App SDK (Experimental) 1.0.0.50489432 installed, with Hot Reload enabled across all frameworks:

VS2015 EDI very slow with XAML

I'm facing performance issues when editing xaml files (views, styles, app.xaml, ...) in Visual Studio 2015.
If a xaml file is open I got a really nasty delay when typing or scrolling, even in other files. Also my CPU goes up and IntelliSense is not loaded. When I close all xaml files then everything just go back to normal performance, also in other files like .cs or .resw.
After a while I got an error that say "An exception has been encounterd. This may be caused by an extenstion". And yes, I've looked in the ActivityLog.xml file, but I couldn't figure it out. There where 2 errors, 1 with a source of "ClientRights (Client rights determined)" and 1 with "Editor or Editor Extension (System.NullReferenceException)"
I'm running Windows Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.222) and Visual Studio 2015 Update 3.
I have the feeling that it all started when I installed update 3, not quite sure if that has something to do with it, it's been a while when I've been in a xaml project (in this case UWP).
It must be something to do with the XAML designer, although I disabled it.
These are the steps I've already tried:
Disable extenstions (some couldn't be disabled)
Uninstalled Resharper
New install of vs2015 Update 3
Found on stackoverflow (Visual Studio 2015 is extremely slow):
Disable XMAL designer (Options > XAML Designer - uncheck "Enable XAML Designer")
Disable solution analysis (Options > C# > Advanced - uncheck "Enable full solution analysis")
Disable CodeLens (Options > Text Editor > All languages - uncheck "Enable CodeLens")
Clear asp.net caches
Anyone facing the same problem? Any help would be very appreciated
New install of vs2015 didn't help.
Fresh install of win10 + vs2015 did the job :-(
Lost many hours but back running!

Xamarin XAML Intellisense not working VS 2015

I have tried to get intellisense working but no success.
Visual studio community edition 2015 update 2
Xamarin 4.0.4.4
Xamarin.Forms 2.2.0.45
Enable XAML Language for Xamarin.Forms 1.1
No Resharper installed
I have tried suggestions on previous threads. No success.
Any suggestions? Many thanks
Try build project containing xaml file. The InteliSense should then work.
For writing Xaml you can also install any Extension: In menu Tools/Extensions and updates... click on-line node and type xaml xamarin to the Search input.

Visual Diagnostic is either disabled or is not supported by the current application

with VS 2015 Enterprise i get always following message on a solution while debugging: XAML Visual Diagnostic is either disabled or is not supported by the current application
Tools - Options - Debugging - General:
Enable UI Debugging Tools for XAML is enabled
Preview selected elements in Live Visual Tree is enabled
I have tried:
VS Restart
Clean Solution / Rebuild
Fresh Checkout
Curious: If i start the solution without debugging and i attach the debugger to the process, it works ...
Update:
If i select "Enable native code debugging" in project settings - debug, it works !
I needed an additional debugging option to be disabled in order for the tools to work with my projects:
Tools - Options - Debugging - General:
Use Managed Compatibility Mode --> disabled
I also faced this problem for some WPF projects that came to my pc from various sources. In my case the problem was in the project target framework - it was set to .NET Framework 3.5. The Live Visual Tree and the Live Property Explorer in VS 2015 do not work with .NET 3.5:
Inspect XAML properties while debugging
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt270227.aspx
So I just changed the target framework to .NET Framework 4.0 in the project properties dialog (the Application tab) to make these 'live' tools work.
I faced the save issue on VS 2019. It happened all of a sudden on a project which it used to work on. Restarting VS did not help. But it got resolved after PC restart.
If you're having that problem in VS 2017 while debugging on a remote machine, installing the Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64 in my case) made UI debugging work.
I always had this VM where UI debugging worked but my colleagues couldn't get it to work on their machines until I was experimenting with something where I had to uninstall all redistributables. After finishing my experiments I realized I couldn't debug the UI anymore. I reinstalled the 2017 redistributable and the functionality got enabled again.

wpf project to pixelsense application

I'm trying to write a Microsoft surface application for Samsung sur40 pixelsense machine. I have found some sample projects online and run them on the MS Visual C# 2010, but I want to convert these projects into applications so that I can put them into Samsung sur40 and run them in its surface mode. Do you know how I can actually achieve this?
In order to write these type of applications, I am using the following OS, programs and tools.
Embedded Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express Edition
.NET Framework 4.0
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) 4.0
Microsoft XNA® Framework 4.0
Windows PowerShell and DMTF DASH support, and enhanced administrator tools
MS Surface 2.0 SDK(an Input Simulator allows me to develop and test projects on Windows 7 PCs)
Everything is working properly and I can test the sample projects on my PC. I just want to make a Visual Studio project to run in the Samsung sur40 machine. Please help me if it is possible? If you need further explanations to answer my question, please let me know and I try to expand the problem. Thank you in advance.
Menual install !
you can't see the folder "c:\ProgramData"
because the folder's option hide~
so..
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Surface\v2.0\Programs --> copy and paste!! and find!!
you create a shortcut of the ApplicationName.XML in your project for MS Surface applicaion
copy shortcut file and paste --> "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Surface\v2.0\Programs"
and following this steps :
In Windows mode, click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft Surface 2.0, and then click Surface Configuration Editor
In the left pane, click Application Launcher.
In the Application Launcher pane, in the Launcher title box, type the title text you want to appear above Launcher.
The title text will be placed just above the Launcher menu and is left-justified. You cannot change the font, font size, font color, justification, or location of the text.
Click OK to save your setting and close Surface Configuration Editor, or click Apply to save your setting and continue configuring Surface. Restart Surface Shell for your settings to take effect.
