I have seen some providers on internet where you can send Whatsapp messages using an API. Its not official WA API integration.
These providers will spawn a instance for you, show you a QR code. You need to scan the QR code in your WA app. Once scan is completed, that instance is added as linked device in your app.
Now they provide an API which you can use to send messages. API accepts instanceId, mobile number and message as query param.
These messages are send using your WA account and number. You can see those sent messages in your app.
Basically everything is happening from your account via web whatsapp but from a remote setup and using an API.

I want to setup something similar. I searched the Internet on how does this work and how I can create my own similar setup but could not find anything.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.
What all these providers are doing is hosting a running instance of a whatsapp web client using your phone number, this is why they ask you to scan the QR code (same as whatsapp web does).
Users of this kind of services must be crazy to allow running an unattended instance of whatsapp against their own phone account, as on the host there's full access to your whatsapp encryption keys, contacts, history of messages,... but the security implications are for a different topic.
If you want to have a headless instance of whatsapp-web like the one they offer, you should have a look at repos like this one here: https://github.com/tulir/whatsmeow (there are others similar, for different languages).
I want to get generated registration token which generated by a client such as (Web JS, Android/IOS App...) via robot todo automation testing
I'm thinking to use mountebank to add JS SDK but not simple because related to grant notification permission issue (It's required to able to generate registration token)
Anybody have an idea to get that token via robot please share

I'm working on react native push notifications. i'm looking for some answers before i make a purchase to any third party notification provider
Why do third party notifications providers such as OneSignal, Pusher & PubNub are based on Firebase Cloud Messaging?
Can't they send notifications independently without relying on Firebase. why pay more to third party providers when FCM does the work for free?
Firebase is a Brand of Services
First, Firebase is a brand that encompasses more than just 1 thing. For example, there is Firebase the realtime database, and there is FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) which is the current incarnation of GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) which came from the original product, C2DM (Cloud to Device Messaging).
PubNub and others are push gateway providers
Second, third party realtime messaging services are not push notification services, rather they offer push notification gateways to the push services: APNS for iOS and FCM for Android.
PubNub Realtime Messaging & Mobile Push Notifications
In PubNub's case (my employer), we provide a realtime messaging service (publish, subscribe and much more) and if you provide a valid APNS and/or FCM payload, we will not only deliver that realtime message to active subscribers, we will also send a mobile push notification to the devices that are properly registered for them on that channel you published the message to. This allows the message to be delivered when the app on the device is either not active (background) or not running and therefore, no active connection to PubNub unless it is running in a background service). Now you can have an active connection to PubNub in the background with proper implementation and permissions from the owner of the device (easier on Android than on iOS which also has a review process that rejects apps that don't qualify as valid background service apps).
For Your Consideration
If you did not use a service such as PubNub or one of the other realtime messaging vendors or a push notification specific service like Urban Airship, you would have to implement your own server-based push notification service which is possible but might be more work than you would expect especially if it needs to scale, be secure, robust, etc.
The real question you should ask is do you need realtime messaging in your app or just push notifications and to what level of scalability where it is worth paying a third party for all that goodness.
I am in the process of developing a new site and have decided to add progressive web app capabilities to the site. I have set it all up correctly and I can send push notifications to devices with whom I know the endpoint via FCM with a cURL command.
My question is how do you send one to all users who have enabled notifications on my site without knowing a list of all users unique endpoints.
If you are using the Firebase Cloud Messaging Web SDK you should be able to get the Firebase token and subscribe that token a topic using the server side API and then you can message the topic.
NOTE: This requires the use of the Firebase Web SDK to work. This is not supported with the raw Web Push API.
I'm trying to find out how Google Cloud Messaging should be setup for businesses.
Currently I'm using my private Google account to manage the Google Developer Console and create a GCM project for my application. But what if I where e.g. a consultant agency developing an app for a customer, how would GCM be setup then?
I'm trying to answer the following questions:
Is there a way to create a Google account for Business that should be used instead?
Is it still free of charge?
Should the customer have and manage this account or do I as a developer/provider of the app manage this account?

Gcm does not require a special type of Google Account. Once you can create a Project in the Google Developer Console then you can use GCM with that project.
Is it still free of charge?
Yes it is free, even in business use cases.
Should the customer have and manage this account or do I as a developer/provider of the app manage this account?
This is up to you, it would depend on what the future relationship between the developer and the owner of the application is.
