How do you declar the Button in Xamarin Forms to be a pill button regardless of the width/height of the button? Is there a way to do this without resorting to native custom renderers? I would like to do this 100% in XAML.
You can specify the BorderRadius property on the Button to round the corners to look like a pill.
It's not possible without custom renderers. But here's a nice article about it: http://www.wintellect.com/devcenter/jprosise/supercharging-xamarin-forms-with-custom-renderers-part-2

I'm developing a Universal Windows App in VS2015 (C#, XAML).
I have an AppBarButton on a RelativePanel, The panel's background is black.
When I move the mouse over the button (Hover), it turns black with a darkgray background, which is not visible on a dark background:
Please tell me how to change the colors for the button in all mouse states: hover, mousedown,...etc.
Thank you
You need to create custom style template for button to overwrite the hover effect and behaviour.
Please open the button in Blend by using Edit A copy and then edit its template! you might need to remove some element.
Mostly it shall be a button as the property of changing color is exhibited by a button control
I'm referring to the Safari 8's tabbar control (which looks almost exactly the same with Xcode 6's tabbar + the horizontal scrolling, if I'm not mistaken)
Is it available somewhere? How do I proceed?
P.S.: If the answer is something along the lines of "It's a custom control. But you can do it very easily by subclassing... everything there is to subclass", I'm prepared for it! lol
It is a custom control: ScrollableTabBarView. You can inspect it using F-Script
The closest visual match is the Yosemite style of MMTabBarView. This control however does not implement scrolling.
Also check out LITabControl and KPCTabsControl
It is just a Segmented / Tab bar with customized Radio buttons with added NSButton(this is for closing the tab).
You could check this using Accessibility Inspector.
And there is no straightforward control to achieve this, as you mentioned in P.S., you should go with customizing the controls.
I'm trying to create a simple animation example on the Windows Phone 8, but I imagine this should apply for WPF, WinRT, etc. anywhere XAML is used.
How do you animate the opacity of an to change from 0 to 1 when a 's click event is fired?
I've seen many examples of animations, but the button is always animating it's own properties, not the properties of a different control. I know I'm missing something small but I'm stumped -- no matter what I try I get XAML parse exceptions. I can get this to work with C#, but not with XAML.

In my Xcode project, I have a few buttons in the main window that I would like to replace with another type of button. In this case, there are a few rectangles and a rounded rectangle button. Is there an easy way to replace the buttons with another style, or am I stuck with deleting them and settings them all up again? Thanks in advance!
You can select button type custom and use your own special background as the button in Interface Builder.
If you want to further customize your button, I suggest making an outlet of it and customize it programmatically.
Good Luck!
Do you know anyway to change the style and theme of a scroll bar in a vb.net application? I need code or program that changes all scroll bars of the form.
I've been searching the web and found programs to change color of scroll bar but they were mostly designed for websites and written in CSS or JavaScript code. I would be so thankful if you have a solution for it.
Thanks
There isn't any property or feature to change the style of scrollbar of WinForm control. You should have to choose WPF instead of WinForm.
