Is it possible to upload Lumia Living Images to OneDrive, instead of just the static image? - windows-phone

I have a windows phone and I am trying to upload the Lumia Living Images taken with Lumia Camera. Looks like there is no option to upload the Living Image directly to OneDrive, but only the static images.
So wondering if there is any api available so that I can create an app to upload the images to OneDrive.

Looked everywhere, at this point of time there is no api to upload Living Images to OneDrive. I guess this will change soon. In the new windows 10 mobile insider preview, they recently added support for gif images support for photos app. Probably at some point when Windows 10 Mobile comes RTM we might have native support for Lumia Living Images.

There is no special API to do this, as the living image portion is tacked inside the JPG file, which is then viewable using the Photos app on Windows 10 (or any other capable client).

Download video with sony remote api

I am working on a project which needs to record and download a video with "HS120" movie quality using Sony HDR-AS50. I only see transfer image from the API but there is no transfer for videos. Is there any way to download the video file form the camera via wifi?
I am using C# for this project.
The Image Transfer API works for videos as well as images so you should be able to use it for your purpose.

Windows 8.1 dropped Camera App from filepicker

I am developing a LOB web app using jquery mobile for Windows tablets. I was going to use the feature that was available on Windows 8 which is to take a picture on the file picker. and send the image in a form. However, since I updated yesterday my computer to win 8.1 there is no Camera App in the file picker anymore. I don't know if there is a way to have it back there. Or if there is another photo app that implements the filepicker contract.
Thanks

Show .ico Files in Windows Phone 8 App

I'm building an app for Windows Phone 8 that will be able to show the favicon of a website, but the problem is that, when the image is an icon, I get an exception telling me that the image type isn't supported.
I've tried to convert the image to png in the WCF service that my app uses, but it seems that both Azure and my other hosting service don't support the System.Drawing.Image namespace.
Now I'm looking for a way to convert ico to png in the app, even if it means having a native lib, but I cannot find any lib that would do it.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I don't care if I have to do it in the app or in the service...
If I could make it work with Windows Phone 7 either would be better, but just Phone 8 would solve the issue...
Thank you all in advance!

How to upload a photo image using Sencha Touch without phonegap

Is it possible to upload an image created by the phone using Sencha Touch but without any dependency on PhoneGap? Basically my app will be accessible via the web, and not installed natively on the device. I want to be able to select an image from the phone storage and then be able to upload it to the service. I effectively want the same functionality as you would get with the file upload control on a normal desktop browser.
Is this possible, and if so how?
There is a current solution in its infancy, but it works. I tested it on my Nexus 7 using Chrome. Here is the list of compatibility:
Android (4.0 up) browser support as regular
Google Chrome for desktop and mobile
iOS Safari browser support from version 6.0 (not tested on mobile)

Desktop webbrowser and mobile browser are different in lot many cases. To access file upload option you need to access the OS API which is not possible using javascript only. Phonegap provides us option to connect js with device API. If you can find a way to do this, without using Phonegap, then may be you can fix, or else its not possible.

Can you build a Windows 8 Live Tile that Launches A Website Instead of a Metro App?

Live Tiles are the "front door" for metro apps on Windows 8. Can you instead launch a website instead of a Metro app?
Could you write an app that just does one thing, and that is to launch the browser with the specified Uri:
Launcher.LaunchUriAsync(new Uri("http://my.website.com"));
That has the advantage that it is represented as a traditional app rather than a pinned site, so you can style the tile as you wish.
The closest thing I could find is pinned sites or site tiles.
It doesn't look like you can customize the look and feel of these site tiles, but you can update them with notification counts.
