Expired time for acquiring lock pentaho - locking

I'm using pentaho BI (spoon) and I have a problem with it.
At each action (open job/transformation or save for example) it show this window
http://i.stack.imgur.com/bqmZQ.jpg
now I can't open existing transformation. Does anyone know this issue?

I know this is an old post, but the problem is still current (version 8.2 CE), and I was unable to find any help (other than the workaround to delete the .lock files, but this only solves it for a few minutes, possibly even less).
I had exactly the same problem, it basically rendered Spoon useless. In my case, the culprit was the antivirus program. I noticed it only because I installed the AV after I used Spoon for some time. I just removed the AV (and installed another one) - no more problems.

It seems that your repository is having some issue in connecting.
Try checking the repo. connection and also check for the permission of accessing the repo.

I faced a similar issue and was able to resolve it by deleting the lock file under
D:\Pentaho-ce\file-repository\ETL\.meta\metastore\.lock
(local-repository root)\.meta\metastore\.lock
Kettle - Spoon version 5.4.0.1-130

I was also facing a similar issue and was able to resolve it by deleting the lock.
Pentaho tool creates .pentaho directory in the home directory.
inside .pentaho delete .lock from
.pentaho/metastore/.lock
and also delete .lock file
/home/pdi-ce-9.1.0.0-324/data-integration
restart your pentaho tool.
hope above solution works for you.

I faced a similar issue and was able to resolve it by deleting the lock file under C:\Users\myuser.pentaho\metastore

AMPPS - The file /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/includes/enduser.php is corrupted

I've had this issue twice now, just randomly happened.
When I try to view the Ammps 'Home' Dashboard I get the following error:-
The file /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/includes/enduser.php is
corrupted.
I had to re-install to fix this last time but since then (a few days ago) this has happened again?
Anybody know why this is happening and how to fix it?
I am using Version: 3.8
Update
I've done another clean install (backed up www and all the databases beforehand). I noticed there isn't even the directory /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/includes/.
Seems to be another effected file as well:
/Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/includes/main/functions.php is
corrupted.
Upon opening these files, it appears a massively long string of characters as been added after the closing PHP tag. Deleting this string had no effect, the same errors persist.
Anyway, I've uploaded the files of Ampps for Mac which you can download here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/18nA-ldR5BamLLqnEU0nC4Gx-PmzWSwt0/view?usp=sharing
Going to see if I can get it back working once I merge the files together (except the www folder)
Update 2:
You can now download Ampps 3.9 from their official website:
https://ampps.com/download
1.+ don't forget to save database (/var) and domains information (/ampps/data/domains) before replacing files
Doing a clean install of Ampps 3.8 will rectify the problem which is what I had to do. Frustratingly, some people including myself have experienced the issue coming back after a few days. Until there is a permanent fix for this either by an update/patch from Softaculous, a way to rectify this without having to reinstall Ampps is by doing the following:-
Take a backup of your /Applications/AMPPS/www directory
Download the Mac files from a clean installation here;
https://drive.google.com/file/d/18nA-ldR5BamLLqnEU0nC4Gx-PmzWSwt0/view?usp=sharing
Replace the existing Ampps directory with the files from the
download link
Move your /www/ folder back to the same location
You should then be able to access the Home dashboard and everything should work as normal.
As Nika mentioned, don't forget to save database (/var) and domains information (/ampps/data/domains) before replacing files (/www)
Edit 1:
Seems my version of Ampps 3.8 got updated to 3.9, I've not had any issues since this has happened.
Please create a backup first!
Shutdown AMPPS. I have fixed mine locally by replacing the enduser.php with the one from here https://files.ampps.com/5.3.2.zip.
Then after that I have replaced all the IonCube loaders with the ones you can download from here: https://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php. Source and how-to: https://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=13497&title=Ioncube_Loader_Error
Start AMPPS.
To check if you need to replace another corrupt file check error_log in your logs folder.

Docker build fails always with error hcsshim::PrepareLayer - failed failed in Win32: Incorrect function. (0x1) Windows Containers

Steps to reproduce are very easy.
Create a Dockerfile.
My Dockerfile has many more lines, but I have trimmed them so we can focus in the source of the problem.
Said that, these two lines alone (without anything more) show the problem.
FROM microsoft/iis
SHELL ["powershell", "-Command", "$ErrorActionPreference = 'Stop'; $ProgressPreference = 'SilentlyContinue'; $VerbosePreference = 'Continue'; "]
Run docker build . and you get hcsshim::PrepareLayer - failed failed in Win32: Función incorrecta. (0x1).
Windows 10 Pro 1909 (but it happened too in 1903)
Docker version: 2.1.0.5
Engine: 19.03.5
Machine: 0.16.2
I have found the solution to the problem.
Reading all the https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/3884 bug, some have found a simple solution: rename C:\windows\system32\driver\cbfsconnect2017.sys so it isn't loaded the next boot.
Disabling that driver enables me to do a docker build for the first time in windows containers in almost a year.
In my case Box Sync was the one using that driver.
EDIT: #GustavoTM have found that pCloud raises the same problem.
EDIT2: #VonC have noticed that some people in the issue in GitHub has solved it deleting this other file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\cbfs6.sys. I haven't tried that, but i put it if it helps others.
The good thing is that I don't need to uninstall Box, but only rename that file.
This is still an issue (still open) with Win10.
Looks like uninstalling cloud storage providers with file system filters like Dropbox, Box, etc. as a workaround is an option for some users.
Deinstall cloud storage providers or virus scanners; if you identify which one is not working please share in https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/3884
In my case was the problem similar but the file cbfs6.sys was placed somewhere in the rest of uninstalled application Jungle disk, somewhere in the folder c:\Program files\Jungle disk .... It's part of Callback File System signed by EldoS Corporation.
The folder could be rename only and not delete directly. So I could delete its immediately after the PC restart, before running the Docker. So it could be delete during the Docker service restart too.

Unable to delete Snapshot from Snapshot Manager in Virtual machine

I have a Virtual Machine with many snaps.
When I am going to delete any of the snap from the snapshot manager it shows error as The Virtual machine is a Template and does not allow me too delete the snap.
Can any one tell me why this has been happened?
There is also one problem, in Snapshot manager if we check the checkbox for the Show AutoProtect Snapshots it shows too many hidden shapshots.
How I can delete those Snapshots?
any type of suggestion or help can be appreciated.
I happened to stumble over this issue today and tried to head over the VMware KB article but the page is not there.
Updating the original question in case someone encounters this same issue.
Presuming the VM in question is already shutdown when you try to delete the snapshot from snapshot manager. Go over and open up the VMX file of the VM in your editor and remove the line which says templateVM="true" . Save the file.
The following kb should assist you in changing from a template vm http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1004538

Is it safe to delete Selenium.log from my CentOS server?

It seems that I've run out of room on my Master node and I need to clear some space in order to reboot my daily tests. Selenium.log is taking up a lot of space and I'm convinced its not currently being used. Would it be safe to delete?
Edit: I deleted the file and upon starting a new build Selenium created a new log file. I didn't experience any issues during this new build either.
You don't say what creates the file, or where it is, but assuming that you can already see the important details from each build in the Jenkins UI (e.g. in the console log, or in test results etc.), then you shouldn't need to keep any files that are sitting in the workspace or elsewhere.

Build Fail : aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319

I have a build step that is part of my deployment configuration. My coworker told me it had worked once in a blue moon
I kept on getting this error consistently when I ran this build step:
Deleting dirPath (qa.comedy.net\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319). [15:22:22]:
[VSMSDeploy] C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.\We
\Microsoft.Web.Publishing.targets(3588, 5): Web deployment task failed.((3/28/2012 3:22:22 PM) An error occurred when the request was processed on the remote computer.)
Attempt to perform an unauthorized operation on file '4_0_30319'.
It seems that it is trying to delete the folder
aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319 , but has no permission to.
we run this build on a virtual machine.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I had this issue deploying as site with msdeploy and teamcity. I resolved it by deleteing these folders from my website aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319
Yes you can delete this folder and the next deploy will work, but with the next windows update that runs the asp.net registration tool as part of it's install will add this folder back to all asp.net sites on IIS (with the incorrect permissions) - so your deployment will fail again. You can avoid this by
Giving the deploy user elevated privileges (not a great solution for
obvious reasons)
Add the folder structure to your SC so it gets
deployed instead of the deployment trying to delete it (not ideal, but easiest)
Stop automatic windows updates (not sensible)
You might be able to do
something like this
http://blog.richardszalay.com/2012/12/18/demystifying-msdeploy-skip-rules/
to ignore the folder in deployment (I've not tried this)
As MemeDeveloper mentions in their answer, one way to fix this is to simply ignore that directory. Indeed, this is the easiest fix and doesn't require adding anything to your source control repository or build output. Just add the following to your msdeploy.exe command:
-skip:Directory="aspnet_client"
I wasn’t using TeamCity but I think I also had this issue. I was trying to deploy to Discount ASP.NET using VS2010 WebDeploy. After reading what doglin and Dan posted, I found I could workaround this problem by checking the “Leave extra files on destination (do not delete)” box. That may not be an option for everyone but it worked for me.
I faced the same problem during WebDeploy in TeamCity. I end up elevating privileges for WebDeploy account under which I do WebDeploy task. So the account have enough power to delete those folder (local admin role).
