Connecting Google Adwords with QlikView 11 without using the QVSource Connector - sql

I'm working on a project to connect Google Adwords with QlikView 11, i want to know if there's another way to do that without using the QVSource Connector which is not free.
I did some research and i found Adwords API, but i don't know how to use it.
If you have an idea please help me.
Thank you,

You need OAuth2 to authenticate against Adwords. Qlikview support only very simple authentication method (against web sites). Also QV doesn't support data in JSON format.
For this reasons you are unable to connect to Adwords directly from QV. You will need some tool/service that connect and extract the data in format the QV can load.
QVSource is working on this principle. Taking the authentication, extraction and transformation (if needed) of the data to csv format.
So you need to go with QVSource or write an app that will "link" QV with Adwords.

How to create my own API and connect it to Power apps?

I really hope you can help me. I have a project to create an app. I will use Power apps, Python and JavaScript. I need to be in it, because I am not. So my first step is create an API, I have decided to use Azure Function I can explain why. It helps connect my Power Apps(frontend, where i am going to use JavaScript) to backend(Python).
So I have absolutely nothing and I have decided to create an API with Azure Functions, the truth is i dont really know how it works. I can connect it with VScode, but the main question how to create own API? I dont need to pay for servis because I have an Azure Functions which is paid. But I dont really understand how API has too look. I have find a lot information but i cant connect it with what I need.
I need to write my own code for API? Like from empty file? Can do it in VS code and connect it with Azure Functions? What has to be in API I mean my own piece of code or something another? Have anyone created his own API in Azure Functions?
thank you for answering my stupid questions
You can create the Http Trigger in Azure Function if your own API works on HTTP protocol and modify the default Http Trigger API Code according to your requirement.
If your API contains 3rd party APIs, you can create the Http client inside the function code for sending HTTP requests on to the available 3rd party APIs in your function code.
There are plenty of articles on connecting the Azure Functions to Power BI Apps where you can write your own AP code using REST API signature following swagger and add that custom API in Power Apps.
Refer to this article that provides the use case of connect the Azure Function with custom API Code to Power App, given by Carlos Aguilar.

How can I connect a community connector (apps script) to a GA4 property so that it functions like it did with Advanced services and UA?

I am currently trying to connect a community connector (apps script) to GA4 in order to retrieve data and modify it before sending it to data studio. I have done this for Universal Analytics properties easily with advanced services; However, Since the Advanced services Analytics option does not work for GA4 properties I have been looking into retrieving data from analytics using fetchUrl. I am wondering if this is the best/only way to connect to GA4?
I have received input for my current code (basic fetchUrl code) which suggested that I would need to access the cloud api for authentication. Now I am wondering if I actually have to do these extra steps to connect to a google source from app script? The reason why I am unsure is because supermetrics has a GA4 connector which does not require any extra steps and of course connects to a GA4 property with a simple authentication method. I would like to essentially create that same connection in app script. Any advice would also be appreciated.
Also I would love to hear if there is any information on when we can expect advanced services to work for GA4.
Currently you will need to use the new Google Analytics Data API (GA4), however in this moment it is an early preview version of the API and is subject to change.
I don't know what the supermetrics plugin does specifically, however i recommend to link the automatic export of GA4 data in BigQuery and connect to it.
Google has not released any deadline for the release of this advanced service. I believe that before this it will have to make this whole new system stable since every week it undergoes updates and adjustments.

Connecting to an API using Power Bi

I am trying to connect to an API using Power BI. I am doing this by clicking on the Get Data then choosing Web, typing the URL address of the site. It comes with the list of API links created when I drill to any of them I cannot see anything. Is this the correct way of doing it? Many Thanks for your help
For querying REST APIs, that's the correct way of doing it yes. But in your case, it might be an issue with the API itself or that you need more details in the query? It's hard to troubleshoot without vieweing the API documentations.
If you then press on Advanced, you can then include further details for your request if needed.
I will include some screenshots below of how to choose the Web connector.

Integrating QlikView with SimPro

Has anyone ever tried to integrate QlikView BI application with SimPro business management software? If so, would be interested to know if you were successful and if so how?!!
Dorey.
Jonathan from simPRO here.
I'm not aware of any clients that have an integration with QlikView but it is a well respected reporting platform with a myriad of ways to extract data from other systems.
A quick scout around their documentation tells me that the easiest option for integration would using their QVSource API connector.
Details are here: http://www.qvsource.com/Connectors-For-QlikView/General-JSON-XML-SOAP-Web-API-Connector-For-QlikView
For simPROs API you would use this in "POST" methodology - ie: supplying the post data as per our API docs at: http://api.simpro.co . Our API uses OAuth authentication and there is dome detail and examples on using that with QVsource at: http://wiki.qvsource.com/General-Web-Connector-For-QlikView.ashx
Whilst we may not be able assist technically with setting up the QlikView system our technical support department can assist with any queries you have in regards to our API calls etc...
Hope that is of some help!
I am going to try and respond to your dilemma, while being a QV expert for the last 8 years I am not too familiar with simpro, however I did quickly browse through their API docs here -> http://api.simpro.co/
I have noticed that they support 3 formats, namely soap, json and xml. For qlikview you would choose xml. I have also noticed that they support 2 authentication methods namely basic auth and O Auth. IN this scenario you would be using basic auth (so you can pass a username and password via the url) as this will also work perfectly with Qlikview.
In your Edit Script, you will notice a "Data from files"-> Web Files, then in the popup you can enter the url from where you would retrieve your information from.
Note you need to pass format=xml to the url, along with your basic auth username and password to the relevant url (which you will find in simpro's docs), for any other format you will need QVSource which has a fee attached.
I hope this has pointed you in the right direction.

Is there any quick and easy way to upload a Google Doc from SAP?

We're creating a custom table in SAP comprising all of the information we need and the customer needs the report from this table uploaded to Google Docs. We do not use Business By Design. Is there any other quicka nd easy way to upload our report?
I don't know much about SAP but the Documents List API has methods to programmatically upload a document to Google Docs: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/documents-list/.
For instance, if you can export the SAP table as a csv file, that can be automatically converted into a Google Spreadsheet during the upload process.
You could also go with a no-programming required solution and install the Google Drive app on a machine with access to the files for automatic sync up to Google Drive:

suggest you take a look at the SAP Developer Network (SDN) / SAP Community Network (SCN) where there is a project called ABAP2GAPPS that has done this.
Note the ABAP2GAPPS example is a bit difficult to figure out (but you can learn a lot from it), and it also uses the OAuth2 'authorization code flow" OAuth2.0 flow/pattern, which requires an end-user 'consent' in an browser pop-up...so if you want to push up a file from ABAP automatically from a background job without end-user interaction then ABAP2GAPPS is not the full answer (but again, ABAP2GAPPS is a great example, suggest you look at it.)
We recently were able to achieve an interface from SAP ABAP to the Google Fusion Table API using OAuth2, with only about a 100 lines of ABAP...and the techniques we employed could be used on any of the Google API's...here's a link to the video:

hope you find this helpful
