unable to install intel HAXM for windows 7 - virtual-machine

i want o install Intel HAXM. unable to install it. following error pop ups as shown in screen shot.
I have turned on VT from bios.
VT is turned on, is showing.
Still i get this error. kindly check and reply.

What matters is the CPU - must be Intel processor that supports VT and NX bit (XD) - you can check your CPU # at http://ark.intel.com
Also make sure hyperV off bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
XD bit is on bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOn
Use the installer from https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager
If you're using Avast, disable "Enable hardware-assisted virtualization" under: Settings > Troubleshooting. Restart the PC and try to run the HAXM installation again

I needed to disable "Hardware-assisted virtualization" in Avast Premium to install support for HAXM/VT-x in Android Studio.

React-Native installation on Windows 11 machine

I'm trying to get React Native installed on a Windows 11 virtual machine.
I keep getting Intel® HAXM installation failed. To install Intel® HAXM follow the instructions found at: https://github.com/intel/haxm/wiki/Installation-Instructions-on-Windows
I've tried installing Intel Haxm manually but I get
As this is a virtual machine I'm unable to access the bios to enable virtualization, so I've been following https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/nested-virtualization
Set up a WSL development environment.
Windows Subsystem for Android™️.
Install Hyper-V on Windows 10.
From the document linked above, I've tried all of them, restarted the machine and still I get the above error.
Can someone recommend any steps I may have missed to get Intel Haxm installed?

Cannot start windows phone emulator in visual studio 2015

My machine is HP EliteBook 8540w which supports Hyper-V as far as I know and I have enabled it in BIOS. However, I am receiving the following error when trying to start emulator for Windows Phone apps in Visual Studio 2015:
Windows Phone Emulator is unable to start because the hypervisor is not running.
The more detailed screen shot follows:
According to my i7-720QmCPU specs, it supports VT-d
So what is the reason for it being unable to start the emulator on my machine?
Update:
I also checked using the BIOS settings using coreinfo tool with the results as in the following picture:
Update:
Following stijnvangaal's comment, I ran the following command as administrator and rebooted.
'bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto'
But, in the wake of next run I faced the following Window ("Virtual machine service not running")
Then, I started this (by clicking the link on the message box):
Under, action menu, I clicked "start service" and then ran the application again in visual studio. Success? Not yet unfortunately, ending up in this (feeling desperate):
I had the same issue :
1 - I disable the Hyper V mode in the Windows Feature :
Go to ‘Programs and Features’.
Select Turn Windows Features on or off.
Deselect Hyper-V and click OK.
2 - Restart the computer
3 - Enable Hyper V again in the Windows Feature.
And it works !
Hope it help :)
Just disable Hyper-V on "Programs and Features" (if it is enabled). Then restart computer and turn it on again. Problem solved for me

Setting up desktop environment on NetBSD 6.1.5

I have installed NetBSD 6.1.5 with full installation setting. However, when I run startx it says no screens could be found. So i tried "X -configure" and then "X -config ~/xconfig.conf.new" and I was brought to a very generic screen with a black x crosshair, but I was unable to exit this using the suggested ctrl+alt+backspace, so I had to force power off and check if my keyboard was recognized in the conf file generated, which it was. I have installed xdm, xterm, Xorg, and other X programs.
I am not familiar with setting up desktop environments from scratch. I am a newb who is used to Ubuntu esque installers doing that stuff for me.
Would someone be able to walk me though the installation or point me to a link which explains a step by step process?
What happens if you rename your xorg.conf.new to /etc/X11/xorg.conf? Does startx or xdm work then?
Are you running this inside a VirtualBox or other emulator?
I have NetBSD on a Thinkpad T420 which I occasionally boot into Windows, and I've setup VirtualBox to be able to run the same NetBSD install when I'm in Windows. The key difference in the xorg.conf file is in the Device section:
Section "Device"
Driver "vesa"
EndSection
Also I've found the free version of http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/ very handy - I use it to ssh into the virtual NetBSD box and then run X apps and have them display on the Windows desktop.
Final note - you might want to look out for the NetBSD-7 RC1 which should be out 'Real Soon Now', as there are some very handy improvements, including better support for most modern display hardware :)
I found that running startx from any directory with a .xinitrc file gives strange behavior in amd64 6.1.5 and 6.1.4. Delete (or rename) any .xinitrc files and try
xinit /path/to/windowmanager
Please read Chapter 9 of NetBSD Guide:
http://www.netbsd.org/docs/guide/en/chap-x.html
Section 9.9 discusses installing various Desktop Managers/Environments.
It turns out that I could run "X -config xorg.conf.new" as root on host and then ssh using putty to manually launch windows.

Emulator cannot run because of Hyper-V Error

I have this error message:
The windows phone emulator requires Hyper-V. Your PC is missing the
following pre-requisites required to run Hyper-V:
I cannot run my project on windows 8 phone emulator since days. I searched on internet, still I couldn't solve my problem. Everyone says open Control-panel, then click turn-off or turn on windows features, then choose hyper-v option. When I clicked turn off or turn on windows features there is no option about Hyper-V. Can anyone help me?
My computer features:
windows-8 Professional (64Bit)
intel core i7 processor
8Gb ram
First step
1- turn on hyper-v from bios
read this :
http://blogs.technet.com/b/canitpro/archive/2014/03/11/step-by-step-enabling-hyper-v-for-use-on-windows-8-1.aspx
2- turn on hyper-v from windows
At the Start Screen, swipe the right hand side of the screen and select the Search Charm.
Type turn windows features on or off and select that item.
Select and enable Hyper-V.
If Hyper-V was not previously enabled, reboot the machine to apply the change.
I formatted my os from windows 8 pro to windows 8 enterprise and I solved my problem easily.I know it is not a logic solution but it worked.
In order to run Windows Phone 8 emulator you need to enable Hyper-V technology in the BIOS of your PC. See the detailed article on how to do this.
First you must turn on hyper-v from bios and then turn hyper-v from windows featured list restart and then will work ..

Check if Execute Disable Bit is enabled

The RTM version of Win8 needs Execute Disable Bit to be enabled from bios in order to install itself. My current bios doesn't show any option to enable/disable this function and unless i burn a DVD to test the installer i won't know if Win8 will run on my laptop (my CPU is an i5-2430M that supports XD Bit), if XD Bit has always been enablet or if HP removed the option to enable it from the bios.
There should be an instruction/system call that let the user know if his/her machine is running with NX Bit enabled (or any other implementation, like XD Bit, Enhanced Virus Protection etc.), since the Win8 setup does this trick, but i can't find on google. Any info?
If you're using Windows now you can go to
My Computer->Advanced System Settings->Advanced (tab)->Performance (settings button)->Data Execution Prevention to check if it's enabled.
That sounds great I hope is gonna fix my problem with Windows 7 and Im tryng to installl in Vmware Windows 8 but i have a dude it also works if you reboot your system with a booteable image W8 and try to install removing your windows 7?
