I am currently learning to develop a watch kit App and I need to display a lot of text. I am using the watch kit label, but it won't show all the text data. It gets cut off. Is there a watch kit object that can display a lot of text and perhaps allow you to scroll through it? I haven't seen this question on stackoverflow so perhaps this question can help others as well.
Set the number of lines for your WKInterfaceLabel to zero. That will allow the label to grow to the size of the content. Also, be sure that the size for the height is set to "Size to Fit Content" in your storyboard.

I am using AVFoundation to take pictures instead of UIImagePicker due to how customizable the user interface presented to the user can be. When using it the aspect ratio that the picture is saved as is the same as the iPhone's video feed. What I want to happen is to have the pictures saved in the same aspect ratio as normal pictures are.
The way that I am currently approaching this is to overlay a black bar in the excess preview display and then just crop the photo after saving it as an image.
However, this feels very crude. I assume that it is a common thing to use the AVFoundation as a way of taking photos and so I assume I must be missing something!
I have used this example code. And I have read through the AVFoundation documentation but can only assume that I am missing a function. I have also read through similar questions to this which describe the process by which I might go about cropping images, but that isn't really my concern.
On the other hand, if there is no standard way to do this, please do let me know so that I can stop worrying that I am approaching it in a convoluted way.
Also, I am using Objective-C so if answers contain code, please could you use the same language?

I'm currently trying to create a view similar to this mockup.
I have put down 3 different screen sizes so you can see the issue.
I have a header background image (grey box) with an angled bottom. On the right I want to display an image, which obviously needs to be positioned.
Positioning it horizontally is no issue but how can I position the image vertically? I have it positioned fixed for one screen size but obviously need to make it flexible.
Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated!

You can definitely use measure as #rajesh pointed out, or you can use Dimensions. As far as getting the layout consistent across devices, using position absolute and measuring the device height should allow you to get consistency across these devices.

I am working on a big demo app in iOS. Now we changing UI for iOS7. i want to reflect font and colour change throughout the app. I want to do it in minimal rework. now i have 15-16 type of font and colour combination which i need to reflect throughout the app.
I know i can create IBOutleCollection. But for each combination creating so many outlet collection is not a good idea.
For ex i have almost 30 customize cell in full app with 3 fix labels and 2-3 extra labels in it. And there are almost 7-8 type of font and colour combination for that 3 fix labels.
This is just an example, count could be more. So creating so many outlet collection does not sound good.
I hope i dont sound stupid.Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

I am designing a simple music app where the user gets to play instruments i.e. Drums, and the problem that I am facing is with resolutions.
The drums are images, which I have converted them into buttons. Everything looks great at the state that I have designed it.
However, when I switch to other resolution states, the button(image) are distorted, e.g. skewed, scaled, and looks nasty.
I have tried designing or arranging them via selecting 'Enable state Recording', but the specific designs for that state are not being saved.
Have you tried the approaches discussed here? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465362.aspx For the actual button sizes, make sure you are not fixing the width/height with pixel values. Use * weighted rows and columns to layout your grids and have the buttons autosize to fill a given cell in the grid. Then match with the appropriate image resource per the article.
Grids are great for dividing up available space but they can't account for changes in aspect ratios. If your items are still set to Stretch (or Fill) then they can end up out of aspect ratio. Another option is to design the entire layout at a fixed size (let's say 1024 x 768 or 1366 x 768) and wrap the entire thing in a ViewBox. ViewBox will scale all elements equally and maintain the aspect ratio, adding letterboxing (or empty space) on the sides / top & bottom if necessary. This might be a better approach for a drum kit.

This time, I put the image inside a specific grid and that made things lot better. :)
I'm working on an iPad app that does a simple display of text similar to iBooks.
I would like to display ONLY full paragraphs on each screen (ie, no orphan/widows on a page). Similar to iBooks, I want to allow the user to change the font and font size and continue to keep all lines in paragraphs together. The user will be able to page forward and backwards (just like iBooks).
I've been researching this and can't find a solution for this. I would think that someone has already done this code, but it looks like I'm going to have to figure out the point size of the font and calculate the size of the TextView and then count how many characters, etc etc etc.
Does anyone have a suggestion where I might start to do this?

Look at the NSString UIKit Addition it has methods for calculating how much space the rendering of string in a give font will take.
