I'm working with several fellow classmates on a simple mobile app in Titanium. I'm running into a problem though, as when I pull the files from github as a new project it isn't classified as a mobile project, just as a blank project. Basically, this keeps me from being able to run the project for any reason, the option to do so is just grayed out. The code works in a new project I create as a mobile app, but for some reason Titanium doesn't recognize the pulled project as something that can be run. I've confirmed that the deployment targets in the pulled project are checked for Android and Mobile Web, is there something else I should be looking for, or a command I need to enter?
Okay, figured it out. I had to go into properties and under project natures I had to put a check next to 'Mobile'. Kind of painful how simple that was, but maybe my question/answer will help anyone else caught by this

I'm having a real difficult time setting up React Native on Visual Studio Code on my mac. I have read multiple tutorials and watched youtube and Lynda videos on how to do it - follow the steps exactly as they are presented, but still it doesn't completely works. It seems like every other terminal command I run gets an error.
I have managed to get it running on my physical iPhone and in the Android emulator. But when I try get it up and running on my iOS simulator using the appropriate terminal command, it won't work. The simulator opens, but then the terminal seems to get stuck loading and the app isn't showing in the simulator. There's no error, but it doesn't run.
Another thing is that I don't seem to find the index.ios and index.android files respectively - just a single App.js file.
I guess what I'm asking for is a good thorough guid on setting it up. Most guides I come across seem to leave out or under-explain certain steps, assuming that you already understand certain concepts. Please post a link if you know any super guides :) Thanks!
I followed all instructions on this link https://fabric.io/kits/android/crashlytics/install but I still cannot see my app in the dashboard. This was never an issue for me before.
Clicking on the +New App only brings me to selecting which kits to use.
Then when trying to distribute it says project is inactive..
The project is definitely not inactive..
How do I fix this?
I am currently working in a team developing a react native IOS application, we are all doing this for the first time. I am unable to find any information on development setup with many people working on the same code and we are running into many issues requiring each member to have their own project, and one person with the master project is having to copy and paste code over, any pointers much appreciated!!
Initial project build is successful, the problem occurs when someone else clones the repository and attempts a build. Too many errors to go over and different with each machine. Is there some setup in X-Code or something I am missing with regards to working in a team environment with react native?
Because React native use many libraries like module to help build app fastly and reuse.So, I suggest this workflow to build mobile application with RN.
- Use GIT as system version control
- Use IDE (Android Studio, Xcode) to help auto build and fix a lot build error when your team install new libraries and use `react-native link` (ex: react-native-router-flux,...)
- Just push js file to repository and other member can pull it and reload js file.
- Do it and take a look some repository on github with tutorials

Using Yarn rather than Node package manager resolved a majority of the issues.
I'm trying to run an app made on Titanium in my cellphone. At first it was working fine, until i decided to debug my code. After that whenever i try to run it on my cellphone, it gets stuck # the powered by titanium screen (that red one).
I tried to delete my build folder as some people said after a bit o research but it won't work.
How can i solve this?
What I would try to do is:
clean the project (it also deletes the build folder, but I think it also cleans some more stuff in there).
when the app starts try to set an alert in app.js as the first thing - see if this alert shows, and if it does - move it to the next step until you find a place where it is no longer shown which might indicate that this is where you problem is.
Look at the device logs - if it's an android device open ddms and look at the logs while you run the app - see if anything pops up. If it's an iPhone on xCode you have some sort of console viewer for the phone (sorry - can't remember the name right now).
make sure you are not still running under debug mode.
BTW - you didn't mention if it happens on iPhone or Android? does it happens on the simulator as well?
I was having the same issue. From digging through Appcelerator's Jira I found we weren't alone, and also got a workaround that allows us to get past the splash screen. Check to see if there is a deploy.json file located in your application's directory on the device. If so delete it!

It's rated as a high priority to be corrected for the 3.3.0 SDK release.
I used DW5.5 to build a PhoneGap application before, and it was easy to access all of the files within the app to integrate such things as native API functionallity etc...
But now I am using DWCS6, I cant seem to locate the whole app folder structure. All it does is compiles the app to an .apk file (android) and you download it. Am I missing something here?
I am using jQuery mobile and PhoneGap within Dreamweaver CS6 and just tried to test the native API from phonegap, and just cant seem to get it to work. The examples online show the usage of a cordova.js file (which I know is what used to be called phonegap.js or whatever) but the native fiunctionallty doesnt seem to be working.
Any thoughts?? I have been on it all day now so its likely im missing something simple as my head is fuc***.

I suspect it is Adobe's way of forcing users to pay for their compilation service. AFAIKT, the ability to compile native apps using external programs like Xcode or Eclipse has been removed. I use Dreamweaver 5.5. The issues with mobile app development have been fraught with problems, but, at least, you could find work arounds. I'm hoping that some enterprising CS6 user will find a good workaround for those of us who don't have $$$$ of dollars to buy adobe products, and then more $$ per month to compile the code. Personally, I'm looking for other options. I saved for months to buy cs5.5 and it has never operated as advertised. I found workarounds for Xcode, but nothing for Android. I do like some things about the design/code piece of Dreamweaver, but all in all, I've been disappointed in the product for mobile development.

Have you tried copying the Site files from Dreamweaver Source Folder to Eclipse www/assets folder and running it on Android Emulator. This worked for me, at least for simple Hello World index.html file, but it is not working for 5 page - HTML site developed in Dreamweaver CS6.
