I'm trying to implement functionality in my UITableView where a UITableViewCell's UIImageView expands to fill up the complete view after a user touches the cell.
This is the animation I'm using:
UITableViewCell *cell = [_tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
UIImageView *imageView = [cell viewWithTag:1];
UIView *cellView = [cell viewWithTag:2];
CGRect rectInTableView = [_tableView rectForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.5
delay:0
options:UIViewAnimationOptionCurveEaseIn
animations:^(void)
{
imageView.frame = rectInTableView;
imageView.tag = 123;
[self.navigationController.view addSubview:imageView];
[imageView setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height+64)];
imageView.contentMode = UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFill;
}
completion:^(BOOL finished)
{}];
What happens now, though, is that a UIImageView jumps to the top and then expands. I want it to expand from the cell though. How can I do this?
This might accomplish what you're trying to do:
UITableViewCell *cell = [_tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
UIImageView *imageView = [cell viewWithTag:1];
UIView *cellView = [cell viewWithTag:2];
CGRect rectInTableView = [_tableView rectForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
imageView.frame = rectInTableView;
imageView.tag = 123;
[self.navigationController.view addSubview:imageView];
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.5
delay:0
options:UIViewAnimationOptionCurveEaseIn
animations:^(void)
{
[imageView setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height+64)];
imageView.contentMode = UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFill;
}
completion:^(BOOL finished)
{}];

I want to display label with text on collectionViewCell on long press.
Text which i want to display is coming from array.
Following is my code:
// This code is in cellForItemAtIndexPath method
// attach long press gesture to collectionView
UILongPressGestureRecognizer *lpgr= [[UILongPressGestureRecognizer alloc]
initWithTarget:self action:#selector(handleLongPress:)];
lpgr.minimumPressDuration = .5; //seconds
lpgr.delegate = self;
[collectionViewAlbumImages addGestureRecognizer:lpgr];
lpgr.delaysTouchesBegan = YES;
-(void)handleLongPress:(UILongPressGestureRecognizer *)gestureRecognizer
{
if (gestureRecognizer.state != UIGestureRecognizerStateEnded) {
return;
}
CGPoint p = [gestureRecognizer locationInView:collectionViewAlbumImages];
NSIndexPath *indexPath = [collectionViewAlbumImages indexPathForItemAtPoint:p];
if (indexPath == nil){
NSLog(#"couldn't find index path");
} else {
// get the cell at indexPath (the one you long pressed)
UICollectionViewCell* cell =[collectionViewAlbumImages cellForItemAtIndexPath:indexPath];
globalVariable = [GlobalBrogaard sharedInstanceMethod];
strCellImageName = [NSString stringWithFormat: #"%#",[globalVariable.arrImageName objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]];
NSLog(#"cell %f , %f",cell.frame.origin.x, cell.frame.origin.y);
// Init and add label
lblImageName = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(cell.frame.origin.x, cell.frame.origin.y, 200, 200)];
lblImageName.layer.cornerRadius=6;
lblImageName.clipsToBounds=NO;
lblImageName.text = strCellImageName;
[lblImageName setTextAlignment:NSTextAlignmentLeft];
lblImageName.lineBreakMode = NSLineBreakByCharWrapping;
lblImageName.numberOfLines = 0;
lblImageName.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:14];
lblImageName.textColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
lblImageName.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithRed:0.0 green:0.0 blue:0.0 alpha:0.6];
[lblImageName sizeToFit];
[cell addSubview:lblImageName];
[lblImageName setAlpha:0.0f];
//fade in
[UIView animateWithDuration:2.0f animations:^{
[lblImageName setAlpha:1.0f];
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
//fade out
[UIView animateWithDuration:2.0f animations:^{
[lblImageName setAlpha:0.0f];
[lblImageName removeFromSuperview];
} completion:nil];
}];
}}
but issue is it works only for first collection view cell long press and on remaining cells it will not display any label.
Please tell me what is wrong in my code??
I have solved the issue by changing this line:
lblImageName = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(cell.frame.origin.x, cell.frame.origin.y, 200, 200)];
to:
lblImageName = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0, 200, 200)];
I have two views. How do I transition between them by rotation? I want to rotate the first view to get the second view... Thanks.
I tried using [UIView transitionFromView but it does not have a rotation parameter.
It might be what you are expecting. But, not quite as you expected since it is not using transition animation simply adding or removing the subviews.
UIView *view1 = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 140, 200, 200)];
view1.backgroundColor = [UIColor greenColor];
[self.view addSubview:view1];
UIView *view2 = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 140, 200, 200)];
view2.backgroundColor = [UIColor redColor];
[self.view addSubview:view2];
view2.alpha = 0;
[UIView transitionWithView:view1 duration:2.0 options:UIViewAnimationOptionCurveEaseInOut animations:^{
view1.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(M_PI/2);
} completion:^(BOOL com){
view2.alpha = 1;
[view1 removeFromSuperview];
}];
I need to popup transperant actionsheet above tabbar in my present viewcontroller, but it should not overlap tabbar(i need to see tabbar clearly).
To create a transparant background on a UIActionsheet you have to set the delegate and then you can do:
- (void)willPresentActionSheet:(UIActionSheet *)actionSheet {
[actionSheet.layer setContents:nil];
}
To create a custom UIView that animates in from the bottom you can do>
bottomView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, self.view.frame.size.height, self.view.frame.size.width, 250)];
bottomView.backgroundColor = [UIColor redColor];
bottomView.hidden = YES;
[self.view addSubview:bottomView];
UIButton *testButton = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
testButton.frame = CGRectMake(20, 50, 280, 40);
testButton.backgroundColor = [UIColor greenColor];
[bottomView addSubview:testButton];
[self animateBottomViewIn];
And have the following methods:
-(void)animateBottomViewIn
{
bottomView.hidden = NO;
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.3 animations:^{
bottomView.frame = CGRectMake(0, self.view.frame.size.height - bottomView.frame.size.height, self.view.frame.size.width, bottomView.frame.size.height);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) { }];
}
-(void)animateBottomViewOut
{
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.3 animations:^{
bottomView.frame = CGRectMake(0, self.view.frame.size.height, self.view.frame.size.width, bottomView.frame.size.height);
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
bottomView.hidden = YES;
}];
}
This code does the following: It takes a 'snapshot' of a NavigationController meant to disappear. Then the snapshot is added to the view of a container view controller, slides away and reveals the new NavigationController. To create the 'Pop-Out-Effect' the midAnFrame makes the view a bit bigger than the actual view. After that postAnFrame provides the sliding out of the container view's frame. Works great, the only problem is that the subviews of animationContainer don't resize like their superView during the animation.
- (void)bringUpSettingsNavigationController {
CGFloat gradientWidth = 20;
CGFloat frameIncrease = 10;
CGRect preAnFrame = CGRectMake(- gradientWidth, 0, self.view.frame.size.width + gradientWidth, self.view.frame.size.height);
CGRect midAnFrame = CGRectMake(-(frameIncrease + gradientWidth), - frameIncrease, preAnFrame.size.width + (2*frameIncrease), preAnFrame.size.height + (2*frameIncrease));
CGRect postAnFrame = CGRectMake(midAnFrame.size.width, midAnFrame.origin.y, midAnFrame.size.width, midAnFrame.size.height);
UIView *animationContainer = [[UIView alloc]initWithFrame:preAnFrame];
animationContainer.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
animationContainer.autoresizesSubviews = YES;
self.topImageView = [[UIImageView alloc]initWithImage:[self topImageFromView:self.view]];
self.topImageView.frame = CGRectMake(gradientWidth, 0, preAnFrame.size.width - gradientWidth, preAnFrame.size.height);
[animationContainer addSubview:self.topImageView];
self.topImageView.clipsToBounds = YES;
UIView *gradientView = [[UIView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, gradientWidth, preAnFrame.size.height)];

gradientLayer.colors = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:(id)[[UIColor clearColor] CGColor], (id)[[UIColor colorWithWhite:0 alpha:.5] CGColor], nil];
gradientLayer.startPoint = CGPointMake(0, 0.5);
gradientLayer.endPoint = CGPointMake(1.0, 0.5);
[gradientView.layer insertSublayer:gradientLayer atIndex:0];
gradientView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
[animationContainer addSubview:gradientView];
gradientView.clipsToBounds = YES;
[self.view addSubview:animationContainer];
BYSettingsNavigationController *settingsNavigationController = [[BYSettingsNavigationController alloc]initWithRootViewController:[[BYSettingsViewController alloc]init]];
[self addChildViewController:settingsNavigationController];
settingsNavigationController.view.frame = self.view.bounds;
[self.view insertSubview:settingsNavigationController.view belowSubview:animationContainer];
[settingsNavigationController didMoveToParentViewController:self];
[UIView animateWithDuration:0.2 animations:^{
animationContainer.frame = midAnFrame;
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
[UIView animateWithDuration:.5 animations:^{
animationContainer.frame = postAnFrame;
} completion:^(BOOL finished) {
[self.topImageView removeFromSuperview];
[gradientView removeFromSuperview];
self.topImageView = nil;
}];
}];
[self.currentNavigationController willMoveToParentViewController:nil];
[self.currentNavigationController.view removeFromSuperview];
[self.currentNavigationController removeFromParentViewController];
}
Thanks in advance for your ideas and have a great 2013!

What your doing is not zooming in , your just changing the frame size.
To zoom in you need to change the transformation of the view.
What you need to do is something along this line:
view.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeScale (2.0 , 2.0);
for example to zoom X2
I have this wierd problem with my table
i Have about 20 cells to display
Each cell is about 84px in height
When i click no the cell, i have set a background colour
The first 4 cells are ok, but when i scroll down and click on the 5th cell, the content of each cell starts to overlap with some other content, usually content from 1st 4 cells.
I belive its some cell reusability or drawing issue. Am not sure how to solve it, i have checked through my code, but i am not changing the cell's content on touch.
Here is my code and will add some pics too

I figured it out with some trial and error; if this can help some one
In cellforRowAtIndexPath i tried to clear all the cells subview before drawing the cell
//TRY TO REMOVE ALL CONTENT
for(UIView *view in cell.contentView.subviews){
if ([view isKindOfClass:[UIView class]]) {
[view removeFromSuperview];
}
}
I would be happy if someone can point me to some easier way
Thanks
You can use
[[[cell contentView] subviews] makeObjectsPerformSelector: #selector(removeFromSuperview)];
If the cell in not nil, the above code will reduce the time for using the for loop similar to this
for(UIView *eachView in [cell subviews])
[eachView removeFromSuperview];
I also had the same issue.I also had composed tableView with labels.And when I scroll it down the contents got overlapped.But it got solved simply by editing one statement in cellForRowAtIndexPath.
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:nil];
I think this will solve your problem.
I know this is a bit late, but I had a similar issue where UILabels created for a cell were still part of the cell when it was reused. So each successive update of the tableview created another UILabel on top of the existing one. I moved the creation of the Labels into the if condition as below and it resolved my issue. Hope it helps someone else. Also note no release as I am using ARC.
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil)
{
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
cityText = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 10, 100, 20)];
cityText.font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"Arial" size:20];
cityText.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
cityText.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
regionText = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 40, 100, 20)];
regionText.font = [UIFont fontWithName:#"Arial" size:20];
regionText.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft;
regionText.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
}
Setting nil to label text on UITableViewCell subclass 's method prepareForReuse() solved my problem -
override func prepareForReuse() {
super.prepareForReuse()
self.label1.text = nil
self.label2.text = nil
....
}
Shared if it helps anyone!
