No bean named 'cxf' is defined even after importing cxf.xml - apache

Question

I tried to expose one of my method as REST webservice using Apache CXF. When I try to access the webservice at http://localhost:7080/CXFwithMaven/services/book/abc i get the following error.

I tried searching on the internet and found that this usually happens when you don't import cxf files such as
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf.xml" />
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf-servlet.xml" />
Although i have imported the files, i am still getting the same error.

Please help me out as I am a newbie to Apche CXF and tried searching everywhere but wasn't able to find a solution for this.

Turns out, adding these two lines was the problem
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf.xml" />
<import resource="classpath:META-INF/cxf/cxf-servlet.xml" />
Removing them did the trick.
