Still can't handle with issue in non-responsive bootstrap3 http://getbootstrap.com/examples/non-responsive/
If you'll resize window to less then .container width you'll see 1px width space in this example too. I also got it on my iOS devices. And this kills me!

High all.
I have a site that works ok on MOST devices.
However, I'm having a problem with resizing when the screen is for an iPhone 13 mini.
I have the screen size set at 650X1315.
All is fine until the phone is in horizontal. At this point my css fails to do anything.
I have:
#media screen and (max-width: 650px) and (orientation:landscape)
I've tried changing lots of properties, but neither the div form will increase to contain the textarea, or will the textarea reduce to stay within the form div.
I've tried MANY css rules but nothing works for me in
#media screen and (max-width: 650px) and (orientation:landscape)
Everything else works with width fit-content
Can anyone suggest anything please?
I've included an image to show this.
try to add text-area: max-width:80%
also try to use other simulation's tools for iPhone
may it has bug
I have problem with my nav bar on a theme I am developing. http://astanmedia.com/blog All is ok at full screen, but reduce the screen size so the the menu collapses and when you click / touch the toggle button, the dropdown refuses to break over the slider, no matter what z-index is set, or positioning used. on scroll I have the nav change to fixed at the top, and it displays fine once the slider has passed it. The dropdowns also function fine over the slider at full screen. Have tried to paste code here for 15 minutes, I must be doing it wrong, so I have linked to a paste bin of the code here http://pastebin.com/6war9TGu. Thanks in advance
I think I see your problem. It's not the z-index, it's the navbar-collapse style.
You have:
.navbar-collapse { max-height: 50px; }
You need something like:
.navbar-collapse { max-height: 275px; }
According to the Google Chrome developer tools, you can find the .navbar-collapse style on line 106 of your style.css. In your Pastebin it looks like it's on line 94.
As a note, once you fix the .navbar-collapse max-height, you'll also need to add a background color to your .navbar .navbar-nav class so that the drop down menu doesn't have a transparent background.
I'm seeing a few other little things on your style that may need adjustment, but I'm going to assume that you'll ask specifically about these issues as you go. To fix the question you asked about, the navbar-collapse should help.
Long time lurker, first time asker! I'm unable to find what I want after a few nights of searching.
I'm looking for very standard bootstrap behavior.
Greater than/equal to 760px width resolution, I want fixed width.
Below 760px width resolution, I want the two lists to stack and take 100% width.
The problem is that above 1200px there is a different fixed width. I tried to fix this by making setting the .container class a fixed width, but then the sub 760px is also fixed --- no longer fluid. I've also tried using media queries.
Here's the code I'm working on: http://travelprobiotics.com/
Any suggestions?
thank you,
Evan Jerkunica
If you are hosting bootstrap yourself, you can't go wrong using bootstraps customization tool found here.http://getbootstrap.com/customize/
Look under the 'Media Queries Breakpoint' section and changed the screen-sm to 760px. (it is already defaulted to 768px so if you're OK giving away the 8 pixels, skip this step and use the code snippet below by itself.)
After that, add this snippet below in your own stylesheet, set the container to whatever width you want to be 'fixed'
#media screen and (min-width:760px) {
.container {
width: 960px !important;
}
}
I have the plugin working on a slideshow of images here:
http://samsweet.info/
I've uploaded all the images at the desired full size; all fall within 600 X 500 px. If I don't specify the height/width in the shortcode, the images are stretched and blown out to fill the entire content area. But when I specify the height and width in the shortcode, the images are not responsive and do not "shrink down" when the window is resized. Can someone guide me on how to get these images to (a) show up as they are at full size, centered and (b) resize properly in a smaller window/mobile device?
Any help appreciated!
If your slider is wrapped in a div, try just resizing the div with css. That way your images will keep their aspect ratio, but you can still use percentages (and max-width).
.slider-div{
width: 80%;
max-width: 600px;
}
This boggled my mind for a year and today I finally figured it out. It is the transition that is stretched. When I changed it to effect="none" it still worked and no more stretching. But the quick click buttons below the images no longer work. Ahhh...always something. But there's a clue at least.
I'm trying to make a rounded button using -webkit-border-radius
This gives me this button (in Safari):
You can see that the background color overflows in the rounding. I tried changing border size and radius, but it doesn't help. Is this a rendering bug with Safari or something?
It's addressed here on http://tumble.sneak.co.nz/post/928998513/fixing-the-background-bleed?d1dc0f00 Mike Harding's blog:
-webkit-background-clip: padding-box;
Looks like this is a rendering bug with WebKit. Adam Betts on Twitter:
We're at Safari 5 and border-radius
artifacts is still here. Why isn't
this fixed already?
