Installed qtile x manager on ArchLinux OS. Got it from repository. Installed needed packages:
pycairo-xcb-git
xorg-xpyb-git
qtile-git
Qtile started. Show information on bottom panel (version of config, time, etc.)
But there is no reaction on default keybinds (for example open XTerm).
Qtile have any log files, or any?
you need to mention the log file like if you are using .xinitrc to start qtile:
exec qtile >> ~/.qtile.log
this will open qtile as well as write the output to .qtile.log; you will not originally have this file, so create one :
cat > ~/.qtile.log

Steps to reproduce are very easy.
Create a Dockerfile.
My Dockerfile has many more lines, but I have trimmed them so we can focus in the source of the problem.
Said that, these two lines alone (without anything more) show the problem.
FROM microsoft/iis
SHELL ["powershell", "-Command", "$ErrorActionPreference = 'Stop'; $ProgressPreference = 'SilentlyContinue'; $VerbosePreference = 'Continue'; "]
Run docker build . and you get hcsshim::PrepareLayer - failed failed in Win32: Función incorrecta. (0x1).
Windows 10 Pro 1909 (but it happened too in 1903)
Docker version: 2.1.0.5
Engine: 19.03.5
Machine: 0.16.2
I have found the solution to the problem.
Reading all the https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/3884 bug, some have found a simple solution: rename C:\windows\system32\driver\cbfsconnect2017.sys so it isn't loaded the next boot.
Disabling that driver enables me to do a docker build for the first time in windows containers in almost a year.
In my case Box Sync was the one using that driver.
EDIT: #GustavoTM have found that pCloud raises the same problem.
EDIT2: #VonC have noticed that some people in the issue in GitHub has solved it deleting this other file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\cbfs6.sys. I haven't tried that, but i put it if it helps others.
The good thing is that I don't need to uninstall Box, but only rename that file.
This is still an issue (still open) with Win10.
Looks like uninstalling cloud storage providers with file system filters like Dropbox, Box, etc. as a workaround is an option for some users.
Deinstall cloud storage providers or virus scanners; if you identify which one is not working please share in https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/3884
In my case was the problem similar but the file cbfs6.sys was placed somewhere in the rest of uninstalled application Jungle disk, somewhere in the folder c:\Program files\Jungle disk .... It's part of Callback File System signed by EldoS Corporation.
The folder could be rename only and not delete directly. So I could delete its immediately after the PC restart, before running the Docker. So it could be delete during the Docker service restart too.
I have just installed the Sigasi Studio pluginin Eclipse (version: Eclipse IDE 2018-12). When I try to launch it,to make a new VHDL file, I get the following:
The selected wizard could not be started. org/eclipse/lsp4j/Range
(occurred in com.sigasi.hdt.vhdl.ui.VhdlExecutableExtensionFactory)
org/eclipse/lsp4j/Range
How I could solve it, please?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks to the Sigasi support, I was able to solve the problem. They wrote me:
The lsp4j plugin version is to recent for the xtext version that ships
with Sigasi Studio 4.2. This issue has been resolved in the preview
channel of release 4.3. Therefore - if you wish to use the plugin
version of Sigasi Studio - I recommend to install the 4.3 preview
following the steps explained on
http://insights.sigasi.com/tech/preview.html.
That's all. Now, I would like to configure Sigasi with GHDL (as a compiler, when I run the project) and GTKWAVE (ad a waves viewer). How can I do that?
Thanks in advance.
SIGASI + GHDL + GTKWAVE (all in one)
It is very powerful combo that you can set up. ATTENTION i use macOS 10.13.6:
Step 1
Make sure you have both installed GHDL and GTKWAVE typing
$ which gtkwave
/usr/local/bin/gtkwave
$ which ghdl
/usr/local/bin/ghdl
Step 2
Open Sigasi an make new Project and create an additional compile.sh file with:
#!/bin/sh
PROJECT_NAME="PWM_Generator"
PROJECT_NAME_TB="PWM_Generator_tb"
WORKING_DIR="/Users/imeksbank/Dropbox/UMHDL"
/usr/local/bin/ghdl -a --workdir=$WORKING_DIR/work.ghdl $WORKING_DIR/$PROJECT_NAME/$PROJECT_NAME.vhd;
/usr/local/bin/ghdl -a --workdir=$WORKING_DIR/work.ghdl $WORKING_DIR/$PROJECT_NAME/$PROJECT_NAME_TB.vhd;
/usr/local/bin/ghdl -e --workdir=$WORKING_DIR/work.ghdl $PROJECT_NAME_TB;
/usr/local/bin/ghdl -r --workdir=$WORKING_DIR/work.ghdl $PROJECT_NAME_TB --vcd=$WORKING_DIR/$PROJECT_NAME/simulation.vcd;
now, be aware, for each project you create your own variables like
PROJECT_NAME
PROJECT_NAME_TB
WORKING_DIR
I use always Dropbox for such approach because then i can access via Windows as well.
And of course, there is a possibility to create custom variables in Sigasi -> External Tool Configurator -> Program -> compile_sh -> environment to pass them to make compile.sh independent. Here you have to deal with it by yourself =)
Step 3 .
Set up you External Tools Configurations to let shell script be executed by Sigasi Studio and create the .vcd file for gtkwave:
Click on currently created Project (in my case it is the PWM_Generator).
After that click on Run -> External Tools -> External Tools Configurations ....
Then go to the left sidebar and under Program create your own anchor like compile_sh.
Finally you have your route :
Program
--compile_sh
And now extend this anchor by a custom created shell script :
Main->Location gets ${workspace_loc:/PWM_Generator/compile.sh}
Main->Working Directory gets ${workspace_loc:/PWM_Generator}
Click Apply and Run and that's it !!! After this you can program VHDL / Verilog and compile via Run -> External Tools -> compile_sh having created .vcd. In your project appears the gtkwave file and there just double click and it starts. =)
I have the problem that I want to enable logging of a screen session at the start of it which then saves the log to a specific file.
What I have until now was:
screen -AmdSL cod2war /home/cod2server/scripts/service_28969.sh
while service_28969.sh is a shell script that will call other scripts which produce output.
I started multiple of those screen-sessions with different names, for example
screen -AmdSL cod2sd /home/cod2server/scripts/service_28962.sh
-L enables logging as the screen's man say, and will safe the ouput in a file called 'screenlog.0', now since I have multiple of those screens only one of it produces output saved in that log file (I can't find other 'screenlog.*' files in that folder).
I thought to use the -Logfile "file" option from the same man page, but it doesn't work for me and I can't find out what I'm doing wrong..
screen -Logfile cod2sd.log -AmdS cod2sd /home/u268450/cod2server/scripts/service_28962.sh
will produce the following error:
Use: screen [-opts] [cmd [args]]
or: screen -r [host.tty]
Options:
[...]
Error: Unknown option Logfile
and
screen -AmdS cod2sd /home/u268450/cod2server/scripts/service_28962.sh -Logfile cod2sd.log
will run without any error and start the screen but without the logging at all..
You can specify a logfile from within the default startup ~/.screenrc file using a line like
logfile mylog.log
To do this from the command line you can create a file mystartup to hold the above line, then use option -c mystartup to tell screen to read this file for setup instead of the default. If you also need to have ~/.screenrc read, you can add the source command to your startup file. The final result would look something like:
echo 'logfile mylog.log
source ~/.screenrc' >mystartup
screen -AmdSL cod2war -c mystartup /home/cod2server/scripts/service_28969.sh
This works for me:
screen -L -Logfile /Logs/Screen/`date +%Y%m%d`_screen.log
The configs I checked:
screen version 4.08.00 (GNU) 05-Feb-20 on FreeBSD 12.2
and
version 4.06.02 (GNU) 23-Oct-17 on Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
and
version 4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06 on Mac OS X 10.9.5.
I just ran into this error myself and found this solution that worked with my python file, wanted to share for anyone else who might run into this issue:
screen -L -Logfile LOGFILENAME.LOG -dmS SCREENNAME python3 ./FILENAME.PY
I have no idea if this is the 'correct' way but it works.
-L enables logging
-Logfile LOGFILENAME.LOG declares what to call the log file and file format
-dmS SCREENNAME, dm runs in detached mode and S allows you to name the session
python3 ./FILENAME.PY in this case is my script but I assume that any other script here functions
I have tried a different ordering of these commands and this was the only way I managed to have them all run without issues. Hopes this helps.
The following commands produce errors. And have only been working with yii 4 days now.. please help to solve this.
C:\wamp\www\yii\trackstar\protected\tests\unit>phpunit DbTest.php
'phpunit' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
The above error states that PHPUnit is not installed in you WAMP stack.
The easiest method to install it is using PEAR. Try following this method to install PHPUnit with PEAR :
Go to the directory where PHP is located. Typically, this is \bin\php\php5.3.8
We’ll call this path “PHP’s location”
Download “go-pear.phar” from this location:
pear.php.net/go-pear.phar
Create a folder “pear” in your PHP’s location
Put the downloaded “go-pear.phar” file in this location.
Open a command prompt with administrative privilege. For this, click
on start menu, type “cmd” – you can see the cmd.exe icon.
Right-click on this icon and click “Run as administrator”
Cmd.exe will open. Go to the direcotry of your PHP’s location, by
typing “cd” command. For example, my wamp is located in “D:\wamp”,
so I write following command:
D:
cd wamp\bin\php\php5.3.8
Now run the downloaded file, by typing:
php .\pear\go-pear.phar
Installation will begin! During installation, you’ll need to respond
to some prompts, just hit enter/press “Y” when necessary.
After installing, double-click and instal “PEAR_ENV.reg” found in
your PHP’s location.
Optionally, you can add your PHP’s location in your PATH variable.
After you can install PHPUnit like this :
Open a command-prompt, go to PHP’s location using cd, and type:
pear channel-discover components.ez.no
pear channel-discover pear.phpunit.de
pear channel-discover pear.symfony-project.com
pear install --alldeps phpunit/PHPUnit
Type phpunit –version to confirm installation.
That should install PHPUnit, and now you may try
phpunit DbTest.php
Hopefully, it should work.
Regards,
If you're trying to set up unit tests then I found it quicker and easier to set up a ubuntu virtual machine. It will only take a couple of hours including PHPunit and selenium server. Whereas you could spend hours or days trying to get PHP paths and system variables right on windows.
How do I install uncrustify? I followed the instruction to install uncrustify but when I run it, it does not work. Can anyone give me some help installing this tool? I want to run it on objective-c code in xcode 4. Thanks in adavance
On OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 :
1- to install brew, open a terminal windows and type :
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/go/install)"
It will ask you to download some other files, answer OK for all (for more information see : http://brew.sh/index_fr.html).
2 - to install uncrusify, open a terminal windows an type :
brew install uncrustify
3 - to make your code beautiful, download BBUncrustifyPlugin-Xcode available at https://github.com/benoitsan/BBUncrustifyPlugin-Xcode
You will just have to :
compile the project
copy the file uncrusify.cfg in your home directory
restart Xcode.
NB : With BBUncrustifyPlugin, you don't need to use Automator.
4 - After restarting Xcode, use the menu Edit > Uncrustify Selected Files to uncrustify the selected items in the project navigator.
Your code is now beautiful! That's magic!
post-scriptum : You can easily change your uncrusify configuration file by using :
https://github.com/ryanmaxwell/UncrustifyX
http://universalindent.sourceforge.net (better in my case)
I hope that this will help!
I setup Uncrustify with Xcode 4 like so: http://blog.carbonfive.com/2011/03/10/code-formatting-in-xcode-4/
Can you explain what you tried to do, what you expected to happen, and how it didn't work?
Download zip
On Windows, download the latest version of Uncrustify here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/uncrustify/files/latest/download
Extract zip
The program is a standalone exe, so just extract the downloaded uncrustify-...-win32.zip file anywhere. For this example, I'll use C:\Uncrustify. So, the uncrustify.exe would be in that directory.
Add directory to PATH System Environment Variable
In Windows 7+: Type Winkey + env - Select "Edit the system environment variables"
On the Advanced tab, click the Environment Variables button at the bottom.
In the System variables section at the bottom, click the Path variable, then click the Edit... button.
Click the New button, and type C:\Uncrustify, or the directory that you extracted uncrustify.exe to.
Important: Click OK to close the dialog boxes or your change will not save.
Verify
In a CMD window, typing where uncrustify should return the path to the uncrustify.exe.
In my case it shows C:\Uncrustify\uncrustify.exe
Close Atom and reopen it. Now you should be able to atom-beautify and it will use Uncrustify to format your selection
