I have an web app that needs to import contacts of user from there mail account. How to use the API for that.
I am using socialauth sdk(2.4) with GGTS IDE in windows 7.
Working fine till i login to my gmail account. But gets redirected to error.jsp.
I copied the code from " https://code.google.com/p/socialauth/wiki/GettingStartedWithGrails ".
Please help me.
Google contacts API can be used to retrieve contacts from the users gmail account.
To retrieve all of a user's contacts, send an authorized GET request to the following URL:
https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/contacts/{userEmail}/full
With the appropriate value in place of userEmail.
Here is the link for documentation.

I'm making a react-native app with the Spotify API, I'm using the Authorization Code Flow & and I'm on Development mode with only one user added in "Users and access" on my Spotify dashboard: my tester, who is a part of my Spotify Premium Duo.
The app is working fine on my part, but my tester can't see anything related to her account. The /me endpoint is sending a 403 error with this message in the body : User not registered in the Developer Dashboard. Top Tracks / Top Artists endpoints are working fine with her Access Token.
I can't see any email on her Spotify account, but can't change anything because it is linked to her Facebook account. I'm also logged in with my Facebook but it's working fine, and I can see my details when fetching the /me endpoint with my access token.
If you ever stumbled upon this kind of error, any help will be appreciated !
Thank you in advance,
You can see your info using the /me endpoint because you're the owner of the app and automatically registered in the project's dashboard.
In order to use the /me endpoint on other Spotify accounts you have to register them in the dashboard of your project under "Users and access" in the top right corner.
Once the user is registered, the /me should return a 200 response containing all the user's info.
This is probably due to the fact that you're app is in development mode.
The mail to use if the user is logged on Spotify via Facebook, is the Facebook one I'd say.
NOTE: You have to provide the user's real name to grant access: it's case sensitive.
I had a Google account based on not-GMail-account. I had another email company's email as a login to my Google Account (myemailhere#ukr.net). And I used this Google account to login the dialogflow.cloud.google.com.
Today Google suggested me to create a #gmail.com account and attcach it to my myemailhere#ukr.net Google Account. I have confirmed and created the myemailhere#gmail.com.
Using both of this logins (myemailhere#gmail.com and myemailhere#ukr.net) I am still able to login my cloud.google.com Profile. But when I try to login the Dialogflow Profile (dialogflow.cloud.google.com) - I see the eternal loading animation (or a totally blank page). There is no errors about password or something like this. Just login process after I submit the password and then white page. This behavior I see on all my devices, while I trying to login with myemailhere#gmail.com or myemailhere#ukr.net
And I see some 400 errors in web console (if it matters).
Could you please help me to fix this and get access to DialogFlow?

Do you have the project owner role for the mentioned username that is registered on your project in the GCP console (not Dalogflow Console)? Here is a list of roles related to Dialogflow that grant access to its Console.
Note that some of these roles give full access or edit access while other roles have permissions that simply gives view access to the Dialogflow Console.
If you are missing any of these then simply assign on your GCP project's console.
Assigning roles as described above did not work for me. Solution was to delete gmail email service from the account.

If you would like to use gmail, do NOT add gmail to your existing google account. You should instead create a seperate google account and use gmail from this seperate account
I have a web application setup to handle webhook requests from an Actions-on-Google/Dialogflow application using the Google Assistant. Users don't need to sign-in to a google account in order to use my web application and I'd prefer to keep it that way, so that users can sign in with any email address.
I also want my users to be able to interact with my application using the Google Assistant, and be able to access personal/contextual data via the assistant (i.e. when a speaker says, "what's on my shopping list", the web app needs to be able to know what my means).
Currently, I have this working by using my web app to issue a unique short code to my user (in the web app UI) and then with an intent on the Assistant where the speaker says "My code is 1-2-3-4" and then my web app can identify the user from then on (by saving the userId from the webhook request to whatever user got the short code 1234 and then using that userId to lookup the user on each subsequent request.)
My question is, is there a better way to do this? Ideally, in my web app, I'd like to have something like an "Authorize Google Assistant" button, which would then link the user's google account to their web-app account, so that the conversation on the Assistant is seamless.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks
This is the perfect use case for Account Linking with the Google Assistant.
From your users' perspective, they will start to use your Action. If they're doing so through a speaker and they haven't linked the account yet, they'll be directed to a mobile device to do so. On a mobile device, they'll be redirected to a page on your website where they will been to authenticate themselves and authorize your server to let them in through the Assistant. Once they have done so, they won't need to log in again, the accounts will be linked, and they'll be able to use the voice Action without further obstruction.
From your perspective as a developer, you'll need to setup an OAuth2 server (I suggest the code flow). That login process I mentioned is the first step in the OAuth dance, and will end up with you issuing a code to Google. They will then exchange this code for an Auth Token (with a limited lifetime) and a Refresh Token (which does not expire). They will periodically use the Refresh Token to get new, valid, Auth Tokens for this user. When the user issues a voice command, the Auth Token will be passed as a field in the JSON to your fulfillment server, and you can use this to verify who the user is and that they are authorized to use your service.
I have a bunch of Google accounts each with Youtube videos. What I want to achieve is a Google App Script which can read user credentials info from a google spreadsheet, get him login using his credentials, access the youtube video url which we have and delete it.
Is this possible? i.e. Getting login into Gmail using Google App Script. If so then please provide a reference.
Thanks.
YouTube.Videos.remove('Your_Video_Id_Here');
Did you look at the reference material?
You can get the email of the active user with:
Session.getActiveUser().getEmail();
but you shouldn't need that if the person calls the function themselves via a menu/trigger/etc
I am developing an app using VB.Net for accessing my GMail accounts. I was able to follow the steps given at .Net Quickstart and was able to able access one of my accounts. So whenever I run my app, it accesses my first gmail account automatically, which is fine. Now I would like to access my other gmail account using the same app. How to change the gmail account that is automatically accessed by my desktop app?
This is similar to this question, but I am not able to understand the answer provided there
Thanks in advance for your answers
Before using your app, you need to log out of the default gmail account (i.e., first gmail account in your case). So I think you need to log out from that first gmail account, then log in with the second gmail account and try to sign in from your app. Hope this helps!
Finally I found out where the authorization information is stored. It is stored in Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData folder. A folder named Google.Apis.Auth is created under this folder and a new file with the authorization information is created under it (in my case it is C:\Users\myWindowsUserName\AppData\Roaming\Google.Apis.Auth). I deleted the file which was there, which had the token for my first gmail ID. When I ran my app again, it asked for user login and consent once again, at which point I provided details of my second gmail account. This pearl is available here
